Mortal Kombat XL Reviews
Mortal Kombat XL retains the same great gameplay and content of the base game.
Mortal Kombat XL is a fantastic addition to the base game, adding characters that somehow fit extremely well in the roster. If NetherRealm Studios can make smart choices like this, perhaps we should hope for Mortal Kombat XXL.
A fighting gaming bursting with content, as well as severed body parts, and more of both makes this XL edition particularly good value for money.
While the downloadable content is about seven months overdue, and the patches to fix online performance even longer, Mortal Kombat X for PC is better than its even been with the release of Mortal Kombat XL.
The package is massive and chock full of content. The netcode is pretty good, and the single player offerings are nice as well. If you already owned the game on PC and want the XL package, you can get it for a slightly discounted price. If you don’t own the game, you can get the game and the XL package for 40 bucks – not a bad deal if you ask me, and for a quality fighting game, I’d say go for it.
As far as feature-complete packages go, Mortal Kombat XL is among the best examples of a plentiful bounty of playing options. It's not the greatest, nor the deepest, fighting game around, but it is gleefully gory fun for long stretches.
With so many skins, strong cast of characters (classic and new), stunning visuals, variety of modes and lively online community, Mortal Kombat XL delivers the ultimate Mortal Kombat game for fans to enjoy.
If you've waited this long to enter the tournament of Mortal Kombat, wait no longer -- MKXL is a stellar release, combining exquisite fighting with a massive amount of content.
Mortal Kombat XL is the definitive version that PC gamers were waiting for. If you didn't have the change to get it, now is the right time.

Mortal Kombat X remains a slightly inferior fighter compared to other titles, but mostly when it comes to depth, because, while very "old-school" and bare-bones, it's a very enjoyable experience, nevertheless. As for the XL upgrade it got, while not a game-changer, it fixes the many problems of the original, adds all downloadable content, and makes it a worthy purchase, even for those who were setting on the fence about it.
I once said Mortal Kombat X is one of the most stacked fighting games of all time, I can now say Mortal Kombat XL is the most stacked fighting game of all time. The content, the quality, and the lasting appeal in this game is just incredible. I honestly think this is almost the perfect Mortal Kombat game ever, to the point were I would be happy if Netherrealm would just keep on supporting the game until the next gen of consoles. If you didn't manage to pick up Mortal Kombat X last year, then now is the perfect time to invest your money in one of the best fighting games you will ever play. Go buy it!
Adding in extra characters to master (or beat up) and a few different outfits adds quite a bit to the game and if you missed the MKX mania, MKXL is a great place to hop on with all the extra characters included.
As Mortal-Kombat-ie as ever. More ways to turn your opponent inside out than you can wave a stick at.
Mortal Kombat XL delivers everything that should have been included in the original game. Which means, great diversity of fighters and a number of costumes that had to be bought as DLC before. If you're looking for a good fighting game, Mortal Kombat XL is a best chapter in whole series.
