Titanfall 2 Reviews
'Titanfall 2' has made good on its promise of a worthy single-player campaign. It is rather short, however, and this combined with the relative lack of variety and modular Titans in the multiplayer modes equals a low replay value. I'm glad to have experienced it, but I'm not sure how much further I'll be enjoying it in the months and years to come.
With a surprisingly phenomenal campaign, Titanfall 2 should definitely be a must-get for those interested in a great shooter, or want something more from a shooter than just walking around with a ton of guns.
All in all, Titanfall 2 is a well-made and enjoyable shooter that should be a good buy for any shooter fans. The main campaign is fun to play through, and it makes good use of gameplay mechanics. The multiplayer is fast, frantic and exciting, and it has enough variety that people will repeatedly come back to blast apart pilots and Titans. For PlayStation owners, this is the first chance to try out Titanfall's high-mobility gameplay, but even fans coming over from the Xbox One should enjoy the improvements.
It’s very unfortunate and unlucky for Titanfall 2 to release in between the 2 big titles with well-established communities: Battlefield 1 and Call Of Duty: Infinite Warfare. Even if the sales figures are not what EA and Respawn were expecting, Titanfall 2 is the best of the bunch — the underdog that deserves the spotlight. Respawn has delivered another brilliant game with an engaging story, outstanding musical score, and intense multiplayer action. Titanfall 2 deserves the spot in your library of games; and this is now one of my Top 5 Best Games of 2016.
Going back through the campaign for this review has reminded me of just how much I love this game, and I hope it inspires at least a few of you to finally give it a go, and with Game Pass Ultimate offering it up at no extra cost…. Why not?
Titanfall 2 is certainly explosive, and at times elegant, but it is primarily an exercise in player omnipotence and reverence. It’s really not about the pilots or titans, it’s about making you feel cool and never stopping to ask why.
For a frenetic, satisfying, and incredibly exhilarating experience no game even comes close to what Respawn have created. Most games begin as your pilot exits a dropship, sometimes with a drunk named Barker encouraging you with promises of drinks and celebration. I’ll let him have the last word: “Prepare for titanfall… I love saying that!”
When I first heard that Titanfall 2 was being made, I was one of the people who had doubts. I thought the first one was mediocre and only fun if I had friends online to play with. So, you can imagine I went into Titanfall 2 expecting it to be a let down. The reality is I am impressed.
This is the game Call of Duty wishes it was

Based on the campaign & vanilla gameplay alone I think that Titanfall 2 is the best single player FPS that I have played since Modern Warfare and sincerely hope that this is the direction that EA and Respawn (LOL) move forwards in, in the future.

Titanfall 2 doesn’t just improve on the original, it leaves it in the dust as it speeds ahead laughing. Leaps and bounds ahead of its competition with a brilliant story to boot. The only thing holding Titanfall 2 back is the release date, it feels like were this released in the summer it would have just a few more players online.
Titanfall 2 is a game that doesn’t deserve to be lost in the crowd, as it is one of 2016’s best, hands down.
Titanfall 2 builds on the very strong foundations laid by the original, improving the multiplayer by improving the progression mechanics and introducing some fun new mechanics. This feels like the freshest and most interesting multiplayer game of the year, and it’s capped off by a wonderful single player campaign that ticks all the right boxes. It’s just a shame that it’s releasing when it is, as this is a game that deserves, if not demands, that any fans of the FPS genre should play it.
Titanfall 2 is one of the best shooters released this year. Respawn Entertainment mixed an unforgettable singleplayer campaign with an excellent multiplayer suite, creating the ultimate action package, something that every gamer worth their salt should at least try.
Overall, the multiplayer mode is a step down from the original Titanfall, but the controls are still the best of anything on the market right now. On the other hand, the campaign is an incredible and empowering experience that absolutely everyone should try. Ultimately, Titanfall 2 is an excellent package, even if the multiplayer is somewhat of a letdown.
