Protagonist and his gang are full of personality, and the missions are gratifying stealth puzzles.

Watch Dogs 2 is the jump forward in the series that the game needed to succeed. Comparatively, it's what Assassin's Creed 2 was to the first Assassin's Creed if not even better. Watch Dogs 2 is definitely one of the sleeper hits of the year. I was expecting to have fun with it, but I wasn't expecting to become absolutely transfixed with the incredible style, characters and storyline. It's a must-play game and for those that own a PlayStation 4 Pro, you should definitely pick it up just for the visual feast alone.

Ubisoft has successfully recreated what made Grand Theft Auto great, but incorporates enough original ideas to set Marcus’ journey apart and make it feel fresh. There’s plenty to do outside of the main campaign, and being able to hack the entire city adds a unique element of enjoyment, especially for those who have an inclination to cause mayhem. In the end, Watch Dogs 2 is simply one of the best games of 2016.

With a wealth of gameplay options and a welcome degree of freedom, Watch Dogs 2 is a stellar entry in Ubisoft’s open-world hacking franchise. Minor technical and narrative concerns aside, there’s no reason for you not to check out one of the better games of this year.

I had a lot of difficulty finding opponents for the Hacking Invasion so there may still be some teething problems with the matchmaking. Again it feels very shallow. I load into a small area and attempt to hack data while remaining out of sight – not an easy thing to do when your opponent has a Quadcopter that can scan targets in seconds. Another fun distraction but I can't see it carrying the game much past the original content.

Watch Dogs 2 does a great job of demonstrating the potential perils of a too-connected world and improves upon the first game in multiple ways. This is not a guns over brains game - there is an interesting topic at play here about our society's dependence on technology and Ubisoft deserves credit for exploring this theme. The characters and narrative are leaps and bounds more engaging than the revenge tale the original game tried to paint.

Watch Dogs 2 should satisfy not only the fans of the first game, but its high quality and very lively world could persuade even people who didn't enjoy the original. Will you give it a chance?

I wanted Watch Dogs 2 to be a continuation of the great ideas they had in the original while making a better experience. My expectations were exceeded. This is definitely worth your time and money.

Watch_Dogs 2 is what happens when a developer takes feedback, criticism, and all the great parts of its first try, then flips it and turns it into something just short of a masterpiece.

Overall, WATCH_DOGS 2 is the most fun I have had with an open-world game this year. From a cast of characters almost anyone can empathize with, to a fun, diverse array of missions and side quests, there’s so much to love. Ubisoft has essentially done the exact same thing they did with Assassin’s Creed—taking an innovative, yet flawed, new IP and improving nearly every aspect of it with player feedback. Fans of the original should definitely pick it up, and series newcomers will find a lot to love.

Watch Dogs 2 is a funny to play and very good looking game. It's not perfect, though, expecially when it comes to driving sessions. Overall, we have a very nice new entry in the free roaming genre.

Watch Dogs 2’s distinctive hacking and puzzle mechanics do a great job of reminding you that you’re not playing just another Grand Theft Auto clone as you tear through it’s beautiful Bay Area map. Marcus is a bit too friendly of a guy to be believable as our instrument of mayhem, but the flexible missions let you get through mostly non-violently if you’re good enough at stealth. And when it works, multiplayer is good unconventional cat-and-mouse fun, too.

Oh, and Windows 10 decided to update when I finished this review the first time, deleting everything I did and making it so I had to rewrite this two hours before embargo. DedSec, is that you? 8.5 is a great score, please never touch my computer again.

Don't mind hipster feeling of Watch Dogs 2. Game is an exceptionally solid production with an open world whose creators have understood what the players wanted from the beginning of the series.

There are a couple of ‘100% completion’ style things in the list, but for the most part the trophies and achievements are inventive and fun - generous rewards for progressing through the story, and smart little bonuses for taking part in the online and side ops. Hope you like boat racing!

Watch Dogs 2 is the game that the first one should have been and is a shining example of Ubisoft’s already proven ability to respond well to feedback. It offers true freedom and creativity to play the way you want, laugh out loud moments found in scripted events and self-made fun in a virtual city that needs to be seen to be believed. Starring characters that you’ll genuinely care about the more you get to know them you’ll have no trouble finding motivation to see this one through to the end. Put this one on your Christmas list.
