This is the ultimate Hitman experience, compiling a slew of excellent maps with an additional campaign that, while short, is terrific fun. IO Interactive has somehow managed to give players an immense sense of freedom without sacrificing the creativity so essential to Hitman. If you're looking for something stealthy to dig into, you can't do much better than this.

Travel the world, visit exotic distant lands, meet exciting and unusual people…and kill them. The Hitman: Season One edition has definitely been worth the wait for any hesitant stealth fans that were unwilling to buy into Square Enix's original episodic vision. Bolstered with enough additional content to keep even the most dedicated contract killer occupied for the foreseeable future, it boasts enough variables to enjoy an almost infinite replay value. Figuring out fresh and inventive new ways of delivering death to a bunch of evil wrongdoers never gets old (which ironically also applies to anybody unfortunate enough to find their name on Agent 47's to do list).

Hitman is the next installment into the Hitman franchise. It's a call back to its roots and ditches the over dramatic and gimmicky installments we have been seeing. I.O Interactive has tried to make a turn in what we are getting from Hitman. We interviewed the voice of Hitman last year about the game, and he explained his newest role in the game. While there isn't as much dialog or story we are seeing in some of the older games, there is a return to the Hitman feel of the first games.

The latest addition to the murderous saga of Hitman is a great continuation of the series that we've been waiting for since Blood Money came out.

All in all, Hitman is exactly what a Hitman game should be. It's not long in the traditional sense, but it's dense and packed with content. The mechanics are a little rough or hand-holdy at times, but that's a minor problem in the overall scheme of things. Whether it's a brutal, close-range assassination or a subtle poisoning, Hitman gives you more options than you know what to do with. The episodic nature is a boon, not a flaw, and the game plays as well in a complete set as it does individually. Fans of the genre should make it a priority, and newcomers will find few better places to start. With Season 2 on the way, there's more Hitman to come, but even the first season should have enough assassination action to keep you busy for hours.

IO Interactive took a very brave step when releasing Hitman episodically, something which has absolutely paid off. Their constant support through updates, free bonus missions and elusive targets makes it a game worth coming back to on a regular basis and has strengthened their loyal fanbase, already resulting in the announcement of a second season. Hitman’s history of weak plots is certainly not going to end with this release but despite the long load times on consoles, the incredible amount of choice presented to you with every stunningly-crafted and unique level this game is a must-buy for anyone who enjoys plotting, planning and dropping a giant stuffed moose onto a corrupt CEO.

Hitman is an amazing return to form, particularly after the mess that was Absolution. There are so many hours of experimentation to be had in each level. Addictive and challenging. A must have.

agent 47 returns this generation with even bigger adventure and diverse targets than any installment in Hitman Series, the game has so many options to approach missions or killing your targets, but giving so much intention to those details affected the story whether length or content, but the game should fulfill Hitman die hard fans ambitions.

No matter what you think of that, if you've ever thought of playing a Hitman game, then this is the one to grab. If you haven't ever heard of a Hitman game before, then you should just play this damn game and embrace the weird, wild world of sandbox murderin'.

With the exception of a late episode misstep, Hitman: The Complete First Season is a perfectly designed showcase for the skills of Agent 47, as well as an excellent demonstration of the benefits of an episodic release structure.

After the huge letdown that was Absolution, iO Interactive have emphatically delivered by returning to their most successful formula – giving players the choice to kill however they want to. Cinematic gameplay and complex plots work well for some games, but Hitman certainly didn’t need it and the overall experience was diluted by it. The Complete First Season of Hitman successfully reboots the series by going back to its roots, but also by making it at once both more accessible than ever to newcomers and also a deeper and more challenging experience for seasoned fans – a thoroughly difficult balance to strike. The fact that the missions are constantly evolving and growing with added content and variations only expands its appeal further and provides hour upon hour of murderous play. This silent assassin has returned with a bang.

The Complete First Season of Hitman pays attention to detail, offering great variety and huge re-playability in the process. Despite a few dips in the level design and atrocious voice acting, this is a stealth experience to die for.

Hitman: The Complete First Season is an experiment gone right. How convenient, then, that IO's triumphant return is also all about experimentation. The canvasses and settings that Hitman provides allows for all kinds of hits, from the wacky to the professional – and the sheer amount of equipment at your disposal only furthers the possibilities. While lacking in story, Hitman has a glorious future ahead of itself – providing the inevitable Season 2 is as good as the first, of course.

I’m truly happy that the reservations I had about Hitman: The Complete First Season melted away the moment that I stepped into the game’s wonderfully crafted missions and levels.

Hitman's new approach to both gameplay and distribution hasn't gone unnoticed, signaling a return to the roots of the franchise. Introducing a new depth of variety and replayability to its sandboxes, Hitman's experiences are now more enjoyable and fulfilling than ever before. Although this can lead to a short experience for some, the content is some of the highest quality since the series' conception.

The perfect game for those who love stealth games, and a successful return to the classic form of Hitman. Hitman fans will find all of the things they missed in "Hitman: Absolution", and those who are new to the series will enjoy a very unique stealth game that will keep them engaged for a long while.
