Destiny 2 offers more loot, more locales to explore, and most importantly, more story to play through. Whether playing solo or in a fireteam, this is Destiny at its absolute best.

Destiny 2 fixes most problems of the first game and becomes number one project for fans of deep and complex cooperative experiences on modern consoles. The game largely met our expectations, and in some aspects even surpassed them. And although developers promised more drama and epic in the main story, campaign satisfied us rather than disappointed. In many respects due to great work with locations and game mechanics, diversity and amazing alien worlds' vistas.

Destiny 2 takes the core gameplay of the first game and surrounds it with a much more confident, cohesive experience. This isn't Destiny reimagined but it is Destiny refined, and while that may not be enough to win over those who were left disappointed by Bungie's efforts three years ago, it doesn't change the fact that this is without a doubt one of the best shooters on PS4.

Destiny 2 improves on every single detail. The story might not be the best in the genre, but the amount of content is impressive and the gameplay is better than ever. One of the best action games this year.

Aesthetic brilliance and great gunplay can't wholly save Destiny 2's campaign from trivial difficulty, repetitive action, and a go-nowhere plot. Its best content in the mid-game and beyond is betrayed by a reward economy that nudges you instead toward a vacuous treadmill made of public events, and which truncates the endgame.

Scope, Staging, Story: Destiny 2 is better in every aspect than Part 1, but ultimately an evolution instead of a revolution.

Yes, it's about shooting and looting, but Destiny 2 is about much more besides. It might not be ideal for MMO diehards, but it's a rich and satisfying experience all the same.

Destiny 2 is the game everyone hoped its predecessor would be; a massive, polished, breathtaking beast in a class of its own.

Destiny 2 is a welcome follow-up that rights several of the wrongs that tripped up the original game when it launched. The grind can admittedly be draining at times and its treatment of microtransactions will disappoint some players. It's rock-solid gunplay, however, combined with a more fleshed-out narrative and a nice selection of online activities to tackle either solo or with teammates, brings the series closer to realizing its own destiny — pun so totally intended.

It's a more polished and fun game than the original game. That's how the first one should have been. It's a must have for fans of action and sci-fi games. It's story makes more sence and it justifies the reboot of it's whole universe. It's a game that has something for every kind of player, whether you're just looking to enjoy the campaign, play co-op with your friends or compete with players from all over the world. Few games can accomplish that.

This is a sequel that refines a formula rather than shaking it up, and while that does the job for now, the focus will soon shift to what Bungie can do to keep Destiny moving forward.

You'll always need a stronger gun or a better piece of equipment, and that hunt defines the reason you're likely to keep playing Destiny 2 long after the story ends.

Destiny 2 is action at its finest. An improved expansion you'd say, but a magnificent one at that which nails the idea of what it means to forge a legend.

Destiny 1 was known for not becoming “fun” until you were already well invested, something that definitely deterred some potential players. The grind was the largest piece of the first game's puzzle, but the dev team hadn't yet figured out how to make that something worthwhile.

Destiny 2 is a more polished version of what Bungie created in the first game through simple tweaks and reworks, with the key word being simple. It plays well, invites new players in seamlessly, and honors the fans that have kept the series afloat. However, despite its efforts to be a triumphant propelling of the shooter/RPG genre into a new frontier, the sequel feels more like an update on mechanics that should have been there from the start.

Destiny 2 is one of the most fun games I've played this year, and it does well to tackle one of the biggest issues I had with the original. Featuring a stellar, albeit easy, single-player campaign, excellent combat and class mechanics, and the most enjoyable cooperative multiplayer I've seen in a shooter since Gears of War 4, Destiny 2 is a must-have game.
