Still, the slight advantage given to the Puyo Puyo combos provides a feeling of inequality between players. However, the provided game modes are fun and addictive. You can expect playing for long hours. Although a bit expensive on Nintendo Switch, the fans of puzzle games will be in heaven. Puyo Puyo Tetris is a must in its genre.

Puyo Puyo Tetris seemed like an unexpected crossover when it first hit Japan in 2014, and it still does now that it's come to the West. And yet, the idea has come together wonderfully, providing a release that has a lot to offer for fans of either game or simply the puzzle genre in general.
It's hard to imagine the PS4 getting a better puzzle game than Puyo Puyo Tetris. SEGA's brilliant blend of brick building and blob busting makes for a frantically fun multiplayer experience, but it's got enough depth beyond its surface simplicity to keep you occupied for a long, long time.
Puyo Puyo Tetris excels in almost all areas. Some of its game modes might've fallen a little flat for me (looking at you, Party), but the overall package exudes fun. This should absolutely be your next big Switch purchase.

I would say that is the best way to experience such a fun game as Puyo Puyo Tetris, but I have to factor in the cost. It is more expensive, and if the price is a concern, then go with PlayStation 4 but the Switch remains my recommendation. Don’t write Puyo Puyo Tetris off as a simple puzzle game that you may have played before because it's far from it. It features numerous game modes that will have you entertained for hours with friends and without. It’s so easy to jump in and out of games that you could play it anywhere and I recommend doing so; it makes those early morning commutes go by in a flash.
Puyo Puyo Tetris is a beautiful, wonderful, joyful game with loads of content that any Switch owner should pick up immediately. One of the very best puzzle games ever made.
What can I say? I really LOVED Puyo Puyo Tetris and given the limited amount of titles on the Nintendo Switch, especially for multiplayer chaos, this game delivers that fun title that can be played in short or long bursts. It's also a title where you can return many times and long after the blockbuster titles like Zelda Breath of the Wind or Splatoon 2 are forgotten, you'll definitely be coming back to this game as each time you play is different but where it works is with other people!
The wait was worth it for this puzzle mashup, as Puyo Puyo Tetris embodies everything great about its namesakes, and compliments the host hardware perfectly. Concerns arise about the lack of Japanese voice work as an option, but as an overall package of content and pure replayability there are few better crossovers than this one.
Prepare to become addicted once again as the mother of all time sinks is back and bigger than ever. Puyo Puyo Tetris is an absolute delight that will scratch that puzzling itch and plug the Tetrimino-shaped gap that's been left unfilled this generation so far. SEGA has competently engineered a mash-up that feels like the definitive version of not one but two timeless classics and packed enough variety into its plethora of modes to make it a somewhat essential purchase for both solo and social blockheads.
Puyo Puyo Tetris is, without a doubt, one of the best puzzle games of recent years. Combining two classic franchises bringing with them each of its elements offers us hours and hours of endless fun in any of its modes. Both puzzles are extremely addictive and if they do not want to play with other people the CPU will offer them a remarkable challenge.
