Nex Machina Reviews
Nex Machina is quite simply one of the best games of 2017. It offers simple yet incredibly fun, fast-paced gameplay and it has immense style. Do not sleep on this game.
Nex Machina is a fast paced cyberpunk twin stick shooter, a pure experience from the past, but unfortunately it doesn't last long.

With solid mechanics, insane levels, and beautiful design, Nex Machina cements Housemarque as the king of twin-stick shooter development.
Housemarque has done it again; Nex Machina is a brilliantly action-packed shooter that's engrossing, addictive and absolutely sublime from start to finish.
A flashy and fun adrenaline shot of tight controls and exploding mayhem; this budget title is a must-have for any fan of arcade style Shoot em' Ups and Dual-Stick Shooters.
Nex Machina is a winner. The game balances exploration in each stage with the threat of massive hordes of various enemies bearing down at you from all sides, and it maintains the fun that comes from relentless action. Though you're essentially only shooting, it never feels tired due to the level variety. Score hunters will have a blast going after each challenge and their respective leaderboards, all while taking in the voxel overload as things explode. Action fans of all types owe it to themselves to check out Nex Machina.
This is a love letter to classic twin-stick shooters. With input from one of the kings of the genre in Eugene Jarvis, there was almost no way this could fail. It's a fast-paced, colourful, and bullet-rich affair that will have you coming back for more again and again.
Nex Machina is another impressive addition to the portfolio of Housemarque. It's a top-tier shooter with dazzling visuals that never lets up on the action.
The lack of online multiplayer hurts the longevity of what is otherwise the most engaging and addictive twin stick shooter yet.
Finnish studio Housemarque have produced in Nex Machina another game to sit alongside its well-received titles of Alienation and Resogun, and that showcases the serious pedigree it has built since their start in the early nineties with Stardust. It is a rush of colour that delivers a satisfying experience that'll steal your calm and let you imagine a future where the robots don't wipe us all out.
Nex Machina is a great release from Housemarque, giving us a solid twin-stick bullet hell release. I liked the geometric world, exploring each bite-sized area as I dodged plenty of bullets like there was no tomorrow and the soundtrack. All things considered, I still think that Super Stardust Delta (on PlayStation Vita) is still my favorite Housemarque release, but I definitely recommend you play Nex Machina!
The latest release from Housemarque is a solid action-packed twin-stick bullet hell shooter you have to play on PS4. The simple to learn but hard to master gameplay mechanics, the fast-paced action, the hidden sections and the deadly bosses in the game will keep you busy for hours as you aim to improve your overall score for each run. Trophy hunters will be playing for a while before they make a dent on the trophy list, making it the perfect challenge for those who want to prove how good they really are.
Despite the unpleasant visual noise and a few details on the gameplay that could be refined, Nex Machina demonstrates that Housemarque is one of the best at what it does. It's fun and difficult in the same intensity. You will rage, but there is a tremendous sense of achievement after each barrier surpassed, creating a good balance. If you are looking for a game with extreme challenges and unrestrained action, supported by an incredible soundtrack, Nex Machina is a must have in your library.

The game may shake some but its difficulty is fair and you will not feel at once that you are wronged. It gives you the character of the classic games that made the arcade games addictive in the past with a mix of weighted mechanics that made it one of the jewels of our time.

Between the nonstop action and the overall aesthetics, Nex Machina is the most video game-like title you'll play this year. The overall design can get somewhat repetitive, and the odds are often not the most fair, but those looking for a challenge have found their latest addiction.
Housemarque proved once again that they are great at making arcade shooters. Nex Machina is such a great successor to Resogun that it's hard to put it aside – certainly not before you get all the achievements.

Nex Machina is yet another classic game from Housemarque and I feel it is the pinnacle of the twin stick shooter that every game that follows it needs to strive to match.
A highly intense arcade shoot-fest, the combination of the talent at Housemarque and the expertise of Robotron and Smash TV creator Eugene Jarvis has come together to deliver another exemplary title in the Finnish developer's catalogue. The faster paced gameplay and tighter areas over that of previous game Alienation pile the pressure on, whilst the strategic edge of trying to keep score multipliers going for as long as possible adds another layer to the bullet mayhem on show. One or two extra levels and online co-op really would have iced the Nex Machina cake, but either way, this is not to be missed by any shoot 'em up fan.
Overall, Nex Machina is a satisfying and enjoyable challenging experience. It shows what an arcade classic game can do if it’s handled well.
As expected, Nex Machina is another exhilarating piece of dual-stick shooting fun from Housemarque.
