I'm still far from the end. I will check in with further thoughts as I progress, but at this point I can unhesitatingly recommend the Witcher III as yet another on the crammed top shelf of excellent RPGs we've seen in the past 18 months. Buy it, buy it, buy it.

As someone who repeatedly had the Witcher series suggested by other reviewers and then digging in the heels and refusing to try it, what was missed was one of the best games created on a modern console. The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt deserves all the plaudits it receives, and in its new next gen update, there really is no better way to experience it. Although lacking in new content, the quality-of-life features and sheer beauty of the whole thing make this well worth a revisit.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt on PS5 is still the fantastic adventure that won over thousands of players in the last generation. It's basically one of the best games of all time improved in many points, such as loading, frame rate and graphics. The free upgrade just make things even better. However, don't expect anything new though – at its heart it's the same game we enjoyed in 2015 and its expansions later on.

The Witcher 3: The Wild Hunt is an amazing triumph of fantasy world design. It successfully pairs fast action gameplay with slower methodical planning and preparation moments, as well as having an incredibly fun main storyline with plentiful side quests. At this point the game has been out for a long time, but it is highly recommended that it is on anyone's lists especially if they missed the boat on the original release. In a word, fantastic.

‎The Witcher III: Wild Hunt becomes ‎‎a practically perfect game,‎‎with only a few small details that are not able to cloud the overwhelming work carried out for so many years in the Polish studio, especially since such flaws are not only correctable, but are not the product of something intentional.‎

It's not a flawless RPG, but it doesn't lack much for perfection. The game catches and catches on as a book bestseller or blockbuster movie. It has minor flaws, but they are overwhelmed by gigantic content, which is not an end in itself, and everything the creators have put into the game has its meaning and justification.

One of the best, if not the best game of the year, for which unfortunately the consequences of not very honest marketing will continue. One of the most stuffed diverse game content I've ever played.

Wild Hunt is a game of small details: the sensation of saving someone's brother from death and watching him work the fields long afterwards; converse with the Bloody Baron at dawn in the flower garden that his wife cared for, trying to reunite his family despite his failures; sail into the twilight of the frozen north; lose yourself gathering herbs and flowers to make a potion; enter a hidden portal in a rural witch's hut to travel to a magical garden where the beautiful Keira Metz takes her bath; Fight with bears or follow the trail of treasure in the middle of the night. All of that is miraculous and magical, the essence of role-playing and its power to tell stories and feel them as our own. This game has the dignity and beauty of all great farewells, a fortunate and nostalgic evocation, like a tale that is fondly remembered.

After about 4 years, The Witcher 3 is still a great RPG game. The amount of content in this game is simply huge. This amount of content, along with deep gameplay mechanics, astounding visual art and dulcet music coupled with epic tracks make this game fantastic. The Switch port is a technical achievement for the developers and also looks good if you want to play in handheld mode, but it has some notable differences with other platforms that especially make the game, not the best option. If you need the portability of Switch for this game, then don’t hesitate and buy it, but for playing this on a TV or monitor, I suggest going with other platforms

It's a crowning achievement from the developer, and it's a definite contender for game of the year.

A huge open world, filled to the brim with life, death and everything in between. It truly is a sight to behold. CD Projekt Red have done great things with this title and RPGs all-round should take note.

In a game where the action mechanics are roughly 65% of the game's core gameplay, it is important to get these basic parts right and The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt tragically fumbles. Good controls are the foundation of a quality game and anyone expecting good action here would be best to just put this white wolf out of his misery and bury him.

The Witcher 3 still triumphs as one of the greatest RPGs ever made, largely on the strength of its complex characters and first rate storytelling. There is no shortage of narratives to uncover and activities to partake in that all feel unique and lack the canned, recycled feel that has plagued other open world games like Watch_Dogs, Far Cry 4 and Dying Light.

CD Projekt RED have addressed many of the complaints registered with previous entries, and leave me very little to criticize in 'The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt'. Gameplay, world design, and the story are big draws as the Witcher's world is as well realized and deep as anything going. This is an easy title to recommend to just about any gamer.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is a modern classic, but it isn't without faults. How they affect things will be down to you though.

The Witcher 3 is a fitting end for the saga from CD Projekt Red. It's also the most accessible title in the series and manages to delight through most of its mechanics, especially the huge open world. While the main storyline doesn't exactly live up to expectations and it has quite a few smaller annoyances, it's still a blast to play and should offer hundreds of hours of enjoyment to any RPG fan.

While the decidedly average combat and alarming number of technical gremlins are disappointing for a title that's been in development for so long, The Witcher III: Wild Hunt is still a must-buy title for genre fans. The Northern Kingdoms is vast and beautiful setting, packed with unique adventures and touching tales that you'll find away from the beats of the main story. A title to truly lose yourself in.

It says a lot for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt that, warts and all, it's absolutely one of the most full-featured, fun and top-notch RPGs I've ever played. For every moment of frustration, there are 10 that make it all worthwhile. The story, characters and world are simply enjoyable, and it's a clear example of what an RPG should be. There's so much to do, and almost all of it is interesting. You could ignore the main plot, just do the monster-hunting side-quests, and still get your money's worth from the game, and that's one of the highest recommendations I can give. If you're an RPG fan, you owe it to yourself to give The Witcher 3 a shot. It rivals the best that Bethesda and Bioware have to offer, and you'll be hard-pressed to find a better RPG this year.

CD Projekt Red's game is a blockbuster in every sense of the word, and it's hard to imagine a world where there's a bigger or more impressive blockbuster at work in the background that hasn't even been announced yet but will still release in 2015. With that in mind, while I'm sure that Ubisoft's Assassin's Creed title is going to be a big improvement on last year's, and EA and Activision both have excellent shooters to release by Christmas, with Zelda on the Wii U being pushed to next year I'm quite comfortable with calling this now: The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is going to be the blockbuster game of the year. It's not the most artful, the most intelligent, or the most important, but it's certainly going to be the most spectacular. And I know for a lot of players out there, the spectacle is all that matters.
