Rayman Legends: Definitive Edition Reviews
Rayman Legends: Definitive Edition is surely the definitive edition of the game, albeit it adds very little to the original outing. New skins and Kung Foot tournament are not enough to warrant a second purchase of the game; homewever, Rayman Legends remains a must-have even four years after its'original release if you haven't played it before.

In bringing the latest Rayman adventure to Switch, Ubisoft has given the machine easily one of its most visually stunning and enjoyable releases to date. Not quite living up to the moniker of Definitive Edition with increased loading times and performance hiccups, as well as a missing feature, Rayman Legends is still well worth the lower asking price to those yet to jump into Rayman's world, yet outside of the portability aspect it offers little to entice series veterans.
This game is clearly not a "Definitive Edition". Too many compromises have to be made like missing Wii U controls or compressed graphics. Other than that it is still one of the best Jump 'n' Runs out there and a definitive must-buy.

Rayman Legends: Definitive Edition does not bring a whole world of difference compared to its original but what it does, it does well. Thanks to its fun and visually rich, varied worlds and to a long lifespan, this take of Rayman Legends will fall very well with the players, with the added advantage of handheld gameplay.

Rayman Legends is still a fantastic platformer with a gorgeous presentation and on the Nintendo Switch it is a perfect fit for gaming on the go - but lacking the touchscreen controls for the Murphy sections in the main game, it isn't quite worthy of the "Definitive Edition" subtitle.

Rayman Legends is one of the best platform games you can find nowadays, and this is a solid version that you can take with you wherever you are thanks to the Nintendo Switch. Having said that, there is nothing new for those who already have another version of the game.

Rayman Legends still one of the best platform games out there, it offers an enormous content along with a verity of characters, bosses and worlds. My favorite so far are the music levels, amazing soundtracks that beats with every single move in the fast rhythm gameplay. Definitive Edition adds few changes to multiplayer mode Kung Foot which uses Nintendo Switch joy-con along with the touch screen.

The production guarantees many hours of satisfying fun, it is demanding, but not discouraging to take up the challenge, thanks to which both the adult and younger player will have something to do here.

Sure, this is not a new game but Rayman Legends is a truly fun game on the Nintendo Switch that is definitely a must have title if you love arcade games, particularly of this calibre. Lastly, the level design is brilliant and the developers successfully take a 2D game and turn it into something very special on this new portable console that not only pays homage to the platformers of yesteryear but creates a very compelling modern game for the 21st century.
With stellar gameplay, wonderful art and a superb soundtrack, Rayman Legends is one of the best platformer games ever released, hands down.
Great port of one of the best 2D Jump & Runs with cool Kung Foot tournament mode. Only the asymmetrical Koop mode of the Wii U version is missing.

undefined.Lack of new content notwithstanding, Rayman Legends: Definitive Edition is, at least for this moment in time, one of the best 2D platformers on the Switch. The level design and varied gameplay are top notch, the graphics and music are beautiful and I'm really amazed by just how much there is to unlock and accomplish in the game -- we're talking dozens of hours of content. Unless you really like Legends, there isn't much here for those that have played this on other systems But if you've missed out on Rayman's resurgence on modern consoles, there's no reason not to pick up this brilliant platformer .
Maybe I nitpicked Definitive Edition into oblivion, but there isn't a justification for such a wonky product that's the latest in a long line of ports.
Rayman Legends is an outstanding game but this definitive edition is not good at all.
Calling this the “Definitive Edition” may not be the most apt description.
Still the best non-Mario platformer ever made and a stunning work of imagination, but if anything this is the worst version so far – not the best.
One of the best platform games of the last years presented in an exceptional Nintendo Switch “suit”.

One of the best platformers that we've seen on a while, offering its best version.

Rayman Legends Definitive Edition proves to be one of the best co-op experience on the Nintendo Switch. Its only negative aspect is the price otherwise it is a fantastic game to play for multiplayer that utilizes the unique control scheme of the Nintendo Switch hardware.
If you're looking for an end-to-end platformer full of content, you know where to draw.
