Forza Horizon 2 is just the first of many racing games to release this Holiday season, and it sure started it off with a huge bang. It's gorgeous, it's huge, it's exciting and most of all, it's just downright fun. It certainly deserves a standing ovation.

Forza Horizon 2 is just about everything you would expect from an already superb game upgraded and moved to a stronger platform. While it's disappointing that higher end driving rigs still can't be used, the quality of the game and the Xbox One's controller ease the pain just a bit. This one is well worth the 100+ hours it will take to work your way through.

A sequel that does what it set out to do, raise the bar.

I used to have 'Forza 5' as must-own demo material, though I knew most would not be able to really enjoy the game. 'Forza Horizon 2' is so much more that; it's excellent demo material, it's accessible to play, exhilaratingly fast, but manages to avoid being repetitive. Seeing one of my friend's Drivatars cruising around the European countryside often feels like being issued a challenge, and the ensuing race manages to avoid the grind feeling that plagues most racing games. Get in an Ariel Atom, or an F40, or even a Ford Transit and try not to have fun racing from coast to coast, I dare you.

A meticulously crafted, marvelous-looking and superbly designed racer that dishes up an absolute feast of automotive madness and mayhem. Sheer brilliance through and through.

[Y]ou're always doing something, and there's always something to do in this game. Let's just hope that there's ever-faster cars and ever-more stuff to destroy on the horizon with this series.

Forza Horizon 2 is another impressive racer from Playground Games. That said, while the original Horizon nailed the single-player and lacked on the multiplayer front, Horizon 2 is the polar opposite to that. If they can nail the two at once in the inevitable sequel, then Horizon will surely take the crown off Motorsport.

The game's only issues are minor – a reliance on a race discipline it doesn't quite master, and the fact that it really only builds on what we knew from the first game without ever striking out too far on its own. The Horizon offshoot has unshackled the Forza franchise, letting it run free into the wild, and this new adventure ensures that we don't take that freedom for granted.

Forza Horizon 2 is an excellent racing game and although it innovates little in structure, the visual and sound production standard, the depth, variety and maneuverability of this experience make it worth every penny and that it is one of the must-have exclusives on Xbox One.

Forza Horizon 2's best moments happen when you're just in the game for the fun of it and the game practically rewards you for doing just that. This is the best looking racing sim game on the market right now, complete with a giant list of cars, engine pumping races and brilliant customizing options.

Forza Horizon 2 is a great looking game. The southern European setting is gorgeous and provides a variety of roads and settings to race on. The presentation is slick all the way through, and the six radio stations ensure you'll always have something to listen to (even if they aren't quite as stellar as those in the first Horizon, which I still listen to regularly).

It's no small feat that Playground and Turn 10 managed to make nearly every car out of their 200+ feel unique on the road.

Forza Horizon 2 may not break new ground, but it excels at what it does due to a high level of polish and a laser focus on fun. Whether you want to play for five minutes or five hours, the game has something to offer. Who cares if the premise borders on the absurd? If you want to race, this is the game get.

Forza Horizon 2 is just a better game than pretty much every open world driving game before it. I mean it. It may not revolutionize the formula in brand new and interesting ways, but it understands what it's trying to be. It understands what all open world racing games should strive to be. If you are a racing fan, you should definitely try this one out.

There's no great revolution here and it occasionally lacks for visual variety and challenge, but Horizon 2 earns its stripes with a breezy determination to simply show you a ruddy good time.
