Yo-kai Watch 2: Psychic Specters Reviews
Yo-Kai Watch 2: Psychic Specters isn't just the best Yo-Kai game currently available outside of Japan, it's also a fantastic title in its own right. Though its opening hours retrace the first Yo-Kai Watch a bit too faithfully, the rest of the experience is absolutely worth it; this is an endlessly charming RPG that captures the fun and wonder of childhood adventure, with the added excitement of a few hundred paranormal pals. This Psychic Specters edition perfects the formula, and if you've never played any version of Yo-Kai Watch 2, this is the one to get — though even if you've already pledged allegiance to the Bony Spirits or Fleshy Souls, there's plenty here to draw you back in, and a save-import function means you won't have to start from scratch. A highly recommended haunting.
Out of the three versions this is the Yo-Kai Watch 2 to get, it's very much what has gone before, but this time they've thrown in the kitchen sink.
An interesting RPG that lacks enought original content to be really interesting.

Yo-Kai Watch 2 Psychic Specters is like the definitive edition of Yo-Kai Watch 2. Psychic Specters is the game that you need if yo want to enter into this universe. If you already have any version of Yo-Kai Watch 2, this game contains new dungeons, Yo-Kai, stories (like the origin of Darknyan) and new features to Blast Mode.

Yo-kai Watch 2: Psychic Specters is the ultimate version of Yo-kai Watch 2. Despite the fact that the 3DS will still get new opus from the license, this one is probably the most complete released in Europe. The players who already have Fleshy Souls or Bony Spirits will only have a few novelties. As qualitative as these novelties can be, this can make people hesitate to buy the game at a high price, especially since the arrival of version 2.0. On the other hand, those who have not purchased the game since its release last spring can buy it without hesitation.

Ignore the obvious Pokémon comparisons, and you'll find that Yo-Kai Watch 2: Psychic Specters is a charming RPG that manages to take a familiar idea and easily reinterpret it into something fresh and youthful. Yo-Kai Watch 2: Psychic Specters is the sum total of that experience, a reset on a pair of established games that adds even more to its distinct formula of crossing through to the other side. All aboard the Hex Express for this one.
Yo-Kai Watch 2: Psychic Specters looks appealing and it has something going for it but unfortunately it gets too mired in dull moments, especially in combat and on its missions and the game's depth doesn't allow for a significant and compelling experience. While younger children may like it, it's a rather easy game to overlook.

With such fundamental narrative additions and rich locations to discover, Psychic Specters is undoubtedly the most complete, accomplished version of Yo-Kai Watch 2, underlining its role of Japanese culture's ambassador at the same time. Yet considering the substantial updates released for Bony Spirits and Fleshy Souls, the decision to get this definitive edition will not only depend on what you possess, but also reveal if your are possessed by Level-5's wicked fanchise...

With the exclusive content from Bony Spirits and Fleshy Souls and all new content, Yokai Watch 2: Psychic Specters is the definitive release and best jumping point into the wacky JRPG series.
Whilst the game is densely packed with a ton of stuff to do, I still believe most of it is much too easy or repetitive – resulting in it feeling mostly like constant fetch quests.
This is definitely the best version of Yo-Kai Watch 2, and we recommend it to the uninitiated of the franchise, but we wouldn't do the same with people who already finished any of the previous versions.

Yo-Kai Watch 2 isn't Pokémon, but if you are looking for a monster collecting game that isn't freemium garbage for your phone, you need to pick up Psychic Specters.
Yo-Kai differs in a number of ways that makes the experience a bit more drab. There isn't much strategy when it comes to battling, and I wish encountering and befriending Yo-Kai were a little more intuitive. Yo-Kai Watch 2: Psychic Spectres is a solid title that overall was a pretty fun experience, but it does have its flaws.
Yo-kai Watch 2: Psychic Specters is the best game of the series outside of Japan. It's good to know that its contents are enjoyable either by beginners who start their adventure or by those who played hundreds of hours in past versions and seek challenges that fit their skills. Having said that, the game could be sold as an expansion instead of a full priced game.

Yo-Kai Watch continues to be a delightful mix of morality stories for children, nostalgia for what it's like to be a child in suburban Japan, humour and monster collecting. The series may well never hit the same notes of mainstream popularity as Pokemon, but the fact that Pokemon has got a very genuine competitor in this particular genre, finally, is hopefully a sign that will push both franchises forward into the future.
While there's nothing fundamentally wrong with Psychic Specters - it is, after all, the most compre-hensive entry in the series, and Level-5's signature polish emanates throughout - yet it is also more than a little disappointing to see a fully-priced release add so little to the base game. Hardcore fans intent on purchasing should be aware that the new content is a little on the thin side, although it does make for a decent place for newbies to start their YO-KAI collection.
While the original game was launched in two different editions just a few months ago, Level-5 and Nintendo chose to release yet another version of the same game with just a few interesting additions. The software house could have released those new contents via DLC instead of launching a whole, full-priced package. If you already experienced the original game, the new addition are not worth the current price, but if you never tried the Yo-Kai Watch 2 adventure you should pick this new version to experience the "definitive edition" of the handheld RPG.

YO-KAI WATCH 2: Psychic Specters is a charming RPG filled with character and plenty to do, but if you’ve played the original game, keep in mind that you’ll largely get more of the same.
Yo-kai Watch 2: Psychic Specters is the definitive adventure between the three games, then. But, that’s to be expected. It isn’t without its shortcomings, but for those that are yet to return to Springdale, it’s the perfect place to start. Quirky and packed with charm, it’s the best Yo-kai game to hit Nintendo 3DS.
