God of War Reviews
God of War manages to solidify itself as a wonderful standalone game that rises to the challenge set by its previous games and moves it into a more grounded and, ultimately, fulfilling area. While some may miss the over-the-top action and more distanced camera angle, it makes up for it with one of the very best narrative experiences of the last decade.
God of War showcases what can be done when time is taken with the periphery as well as the main story. By taking the time to weave the strong foundation that is the Norse Mythology with that of the Kratos' history with Greek Mythology, Santa Monica Studio have crafted a truly intriguing world to inhabit.
If you always wanted to play God of War, but never owned a PS, this is the perfect moment to try this legend on PC. The port is solid, and technical shortcomings aren't serious enough to prevent you from having fun with this phenomenal slasher. If you know GoW from PS4, you probably want to ignore this release – there's nothing new compared to the original.

Despite some slight performance issues, God of War not only lands on PC well but also proves to be a much more natural fit for the platform than any other PS4 exclusive so far.
God of War was a big deal when it hit PS4 in 2018, and it still is in 2022 when it hits the PC.
God of War is still one of the most entertaining, engaging, and impactful games to come out of Santa Monica Studio. The story is meaningful and emotional, the mechanics are thoughtful and entertaining, and the presentation on the PC is simply unrivaled. This is still a treat after nearly four years.
The new God of War brings back Kratos in a superb fashion. Santa Monica studio should do the same for a potential sequel and I won't be able to worry about my favorite hero. The game is bold in introducing some radical changes to the series' formula but if you stop looking back you'll know – this is an excellent game in every way.

A fresh, feisty and at times poignant return for Kratos make this by far the best entry to date, as well as a bold new foundation for the future of the series.
The story's biggest problem is that it attempts something that can't really be done. It tries to rehabilitate that which cannot be rehabilitated. This Kratos is the same Kratos who was pure animal lust for a half-dozen games, driven solely to kill or sleep with every living creature he came across.
Santa Monica took the best of God of War as a franchise and melded it beautifully with the most distinguishable designs of other modern games to create something with an immensely potent synergy.
God of War evolved to something entirely new. It's a well-written story where Kratos is so much more than screaming pile of muscles. All of this perfectly mixes traditional element of the series with fresh ideas.

God Of War is a cinematic masterpiece that manages to reinvent and push an already fantastic series to new heights. Barring some pacing issues in its narrative, Sony Santa Monica have breathed new life into Kratos and the God of War series, and I can't wait to see what's next.
God of War is back with one of the most rewarding experiences on the PlayStation 4 to date.
God of War is a phenomenal effort by Sony Santa Monica, one that needs to be experienced by every PS4 player out there.
God of War is a truly engrossing, enjoyable experience.
God of War's new direction breathed new life into the franchise.
After more than 55 hours spent playing, I'm still awed by just how great God of War is. This is the result of a clear, determined vision, its separate elements harmonizing almost perfectly to deliver an experience that understands the series' blood-soaked origins but is also not afraid to push it into a more mature and nuanced direction.
All in all, there isn't much else to say about the God of War PC port. The game runs better than on any other platform and is decked out with all the settings imaginable with bonus content to boot. Replaying through the grand adventure that is Kratos and Atreus' story was also a delight. So if you're a hardcore fan of God of War like I am or have never played the game, then I implore you to do so on PC if possible as its so far the most optimal way to play it.
Playing God of War on PC is a joy that everyone waiting for the Ragnarok should experience.
