"The Hidden Ones" is just more of the same, but with occasional technical problems. And here I was, expecting innovative mechanics and bold experiments…

Assassin's Creed Origins' first downloadable content, The Hidden Ones, takes players to a brand-new region and continues Bayek's story. If you were expecting something vastly new and different from this DLC, temper your expectations, as The Hidden Ones is just more of the same. More fortresses, more targets to kill, more Stone Circles, more treasure, and more levels. It's good enough for the price, but it lacks something new to make it really great.

Assassin's Creed Origins first DLC offers nothing new to anyone who finished the main game : with its artifical difficulty and its mandatory levelling, The Hidden Ones only takes advantage of its magnificent background to please the eye, even if you may encounter more bugs in a few hours of gameplay than the entire series itself.

No big news for Egypt. This DLC doesn't offer any new mechanics or gameplay surprises. Anyway, the story and cutscenes are good enough to make us admire Bayek even more.

Assassin's Creed Origins: The Hidden Ones it the ultimate example of "more of the same." Honestly, the core gameplay is as good as the full game and, in places, it's even better, with some real highlights. However, with a disappointing new zone design, a lacklustre main story, and nothing new or bold to set it apart, it just feels like filler and occasionally dull, which is a real shame considering how Ubisoft's track record with original and memorable DLC has been.

Since I started this when I was the highest level, the DLC seemed to be rather easy and quick. I enjoyed playing and exploring Sinai, but sadly what with the glitches of Bayek being eaten by a mountain, I will have to give the score lower than I expected

Assassin's Creed Origins: The Hidden Ones does not offer anything fundamentally new. This is another episode for those who like last year's release. If you finished Origins already and want to continue the game, you can safely buy this DLC.

Assassin's Creed Origins: The Hidden Ones is a rock solid expansion to a great game. It doesn't try to surprise or break the mould, but that's fine when the core gameplay remains this strong. For fans of Origins this is a no-brainer -- the story successfully builds upon the existing narrative, and there are some really enjoyable missions to sink your hidden blade into.

It's more Assassin's Creed Origins, almost to a fault. It's an already-big game getting a little bigger. But it's worth seeing through because it eventually makes one of the more salient points in all of Assassin's Creed. The title's fitting considering how the poignancy and moral nuance stays hidden until the end.

The Hidden Ones DLC continues where it left off and it's mostly more of the same, which is excellent if you loved Assassin's Creed Origins. We would have liked to see more variety and more beauty in the region, but it's still a must play for the fans.

The Hidden Ones doubles down on everything that made Assassin's Creed Origins an excellent experience, providing an expansion that you will love if you enjoyed the base game.

Is it just more Assassin’s Creed: Origins? Well yes, it is, but I’m completely okay with it. Considering the expansion is $10, I don’t see any reason for a fan of Origins to skip out on this.

The Hidden Ones brings lots of fresh new challenges that might have become scarce for veteran players in the main game.

A lot of what The Hidden Ones gets right is its ability to take familiar concepts from Assassin's Creed Origins and make them feel new again by means of a new purpose, a new story, and a new creed. A new direction to the story that makes Bayek more relatable, high-level combat keeps quests challenging even when you're fully leveled up, and a more rewarding pace of loot provide an opportunity to feel something new without straying too far from what I loved about Origins in the first place.

The Hidden Ones is just more Assassin's Creed Origins. Considering how good the base game was, that's not a bad thing. It also helps that there's actually a substantial amount of content here.

A more than satisfactory expansion that takes us to Sinai to give us much more content and even improve somewhat the story arc of the creation of the Brotherhood of the Assassins with respect to the base game.

The Hidden Ones adds hours of gameplay to this expansive title and is one of the best add-ons to an Assassin’s Creed game.
