A great high-concept adventure that borrows liberally from old school Zeldas but has plenty of unique ideas of its own.

Minit itself is a huge achievement, something that comes across as so basic but manages to hide many intricate details including a narrative that is discovered as the game progresses.

I absolutely LOVED Minit. For looking so simplistic, it drove me to continue playing and it proved that there was so much more gameplay under that minute lifespan.

Minit's missteps are the side-effects of its complete focus on a single design mechanic, one which also happens to be the game's greatest strength. Ultimately, these problems fade into the background, allowing a smart, refreshing and impossibly rewarding gameplay experience to prosper.

Minit is a real success and shows how well a good idea can work if used wisely. This tiny adventure where death strikes at every minute offers a delightful twist to the 2D adventure genre, by forcing the player to play differently. By being sent to the starting block every minute, Minit feels like a brand new race against the clock which will please every curious gamer out there.

Minit’s delightful minute-to-minute gameplay is as rewarding as it is decisive. Having Minit be so focused is to the game’s benefit. Never before has a game’s core mechanics been in such succinct harmony with the gameplay. The short run times ensure that whether you have a few minutes or hours, the game accommodates any amount of time you’re willing to put into it. And it the satisfactory return on your investment is nothing but respect for the player.

There's this weird and perfect harmony about knowing you're rushed and also not caring. It's liberating. I could keep gushing about Minit but, given the source material, this review is already too long.

Minit is fresh and unrelentingly charming little action RPG that does more with sixty seconds bursts of gameplay than bigger budget efforts manage to do with 60 hours. If you're after something truly unique, Minit should be your next stop.

Minit is a lighthearted and cleverly designed adventure that successfully builds a game around a peculiar premise. Playing in 60-second bursts can initially be frustrating, but once you wrap your head around the game's structure, it becomes an addictive and memorable little title that doesn't outstay its welcome. The abundance of secrets makes the game much deeper than it may seem, too.

Minit surprised me. After starting on a small scale that will make you think that it will be over in a few minutes, the game will soon let you know it's a larger adventure. I liked playing through the campaign of Minit, since The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening is one of my favorite games of all time – it also has a bit of Half-Minute Hero in it, which is definitely great.

Minit is pure fun from beginning to end, and it's too short for its own good.

One of the more fun experiments to test, with a sublime world to explore, and less-than-sublime gameplay attached.

Minit lives and dies by the time-constraining gimmick it possesses. The constant specter of death makes the short quest feel like an epic adventure, but the game as a whole doesn't rise above being more than a curious novelty.

It's always great to see a videogame try and do something different, and Minit does so with gusto: it takes a tried-and-tested formula and turns it on its head with one very simple mechanic. It makes a standard adventure game into a test of memory, of patience, of skill, and even though it'll frustrate you, it'll have you coming back for "just one minute" time and time again.

Minit might impose a daunting time limit on each of your lives, but its cleverly designed world and enriched puzzles make the cycle of exploration and death well worth investing into.

The death timer can feel like a gimmick sometimes, but it gives this fun, charming adventure a compelling edge.
