Assetto Corsa Reviews
Gritty and realistic, Assetto Corsa is for serious racing fans. It lacks finesse, but it's one of the best racers on the market.
Assetto Corsa has its share of problems. It can't compete with Forza, Gran Turismo or Project Cars when it comes to looks, cars or tracks. The career mode is tedious and often frustrating, and the presentation makes it feel even nerdier and less accessible than it is. Yet the core driving experience remains magnificent, with some of the best handling and most immersive racing around. This isn't a racer for everyone – it's tough, demanding and a bit too hardcore – but if you want a sim with thrills and authenticity, it's well worth taking for a spin.
In summary, it's a brilliant simulation, but it comes at the price of even being called a game.
I'm the end Assetto Corsa may lean more towards the professional virtual racer which offers some great features and tweaks available for the gamer who wants to maximise their realistic experience. I also commend the developers on creating such as engaging title but it does border a little on budget when compared to other games of this calibre but the cars look great and they handle how they should. The career mode is in-depth and the other modes are fun, especially the events and of course multiplayer which is where this title shined for me.

In conclusion, ignoring the stat glitches, lack of private lobbies and the somewhat questionable way the game is packaged, what's underneath the hood is seriously impressive. Any dedicated racing nuts who feel like testing themselves at the wheel on console should look no further. While there are other console games, such as Project CARS, with more cars and more courses, claiming also to be serious racers, Assetto Corsa undeniably owns the genre on console now, due to its uncompromising and unwavering dedication to realism. For now, there's nothing better for that on console. It's just a shame that it lacks the polish and omits some major draws, such as private online lobbies, which stop it from being considered a classic.
Assetto Corsa is now available for consoles, and while it manages to stay true to its roots, some of the features have been stripped down.
Assetto Corsa is a very rare product in the modern gaming landscape. A rigorous driving simulator, an unique title especially on consoles, where usually prevail different kinds of racing games.

Without having to pay for iRacing or rFactor, Assetto Corsa Competizione is as real as it gets when getting behind the wheel.
Despite some thorns in the AC racing rose bouquet, Kunos has created an auto game that is definitely worth taking for a spin. My advice is park some of your expectations and for the time being approach Assetto Corsa as, 'Your Driving Simulator,' instead.
Assetto Corsa is a great-looking, excellent-sounding, meticulously crafted simulation that offers a very realistic racing experience. Its authenticity does come at a cost, however - it's very difficult to drive well, and requires a considerable investment of your time to get the most out of it. However, if you're a hardcore racing enthusiast who loves a challenge, Assetto Corsa is one of the best driving sims available.
Really the appeal of Assetto Corsa is in taking control of Lamborghinis and Ferraris and racing around tracks that are really beautiful for high precision cars that have good acceleration built into them. It's far more focused on what it does well than many other racing games, and unfortunately the overall package suffers a little as a consequence, but I just can't get over how much I accelerating out of corners in this one.
Assetto Corsa Competizione sets a new standard in the racing simulators genre. The driving feeling is unparalleled, amusing and passionate in its complexity, while the spasmodic search for detail exudes passion.

Even without turning to those updates and additions, there's enough to celebrate. You could put any car on any track and lose yourself in the simulation for hours, squinting through sun caught in the smeared perspex windscreen of a Z4 GT as it sets over Spa and you pick out entry, apex and exit points, or pawing an Elise this way and that through the swerves of Magione. Assetto Corsa's laser focus on the driving experience works wonders - and when it comes to replicating that simple, brilliant pleasure, there's no other game right now that does it better.
Assetto Corsa is the new benchmark for console racing games, a truly masterpiece, the real driving simulation.

There's a superb driving simulation at the core of this rough-hewn package, but it's strictly for enthusiasts only.
