Street Fighter 30th Anniversary Collection does exactly what it says on the tin. It's a lovely compendium of every single Street Fighter from the arcade original right up to Street Fighter III: 3rd Strike. Fans of the franchise will really appreciate having so many entries in a single place, and the wealth of customisation options, online modes, and extra content in the museum will go down a real storm.

This is a fantastic package. While there are some things that annoy me, it is impossible to recommend a better collection of these games to date. The addition of online for select games and the inclusion of some truly obscure ones makes up for its deficiencies.

Just accept it and move onto Third Strike, alright? Remy is love. Remy is life.

Street Fighter: 30th Anniversary Collection is a well-designed and deserved trip down memory lane. For those who never experienced arcade games before and never truly saw Street Fighter in its heyday, it's a nearly perfect way of seeing it at its best. Sans the controller issues that still plague the Switch version of this release, and any Street Fighter release, it's a solid collection that is worth the money.

Despite these issues, Street Fighter 30th Anniversary Collection is worth checking out just to get an idea of how the series has evolved since its inception decades ago. There's a wealth of content to be had, even if it isn't priced as well as it could have been on all platforms.

Even when taking into account that some of these games are not very different from one another, the content on offer in Street Fighter II 30th Anniversary Collection presents arguably the best value for money in that specific genre on Nintendo Switch and the bonus features, like museum and sprite viewer, are actually well worth checking out for lovers of the series. However, one of the main components, the online mode, is not really enjoyable in its current state so, unless a fix is on the way, this removes some of the fun that there would otherwise be in playing this on Nintendo Switch. What remains, however, is the only version that can easily be enjoyed wherever, whenever, and with whomever and that should never suffer from disc rot due to the sturdy cartridge format, and which won't look any worse here than anywhere else due to these games not being exactly very recent.

Bringing a dozen these games together, and then adding superb customisation options and a museum mode that manages to be genuinely informative, and you've got one incredible celebration of a fighting game series that has meant so much to so many people over the years.

An essential collection for anyone interested in arguably the most iconic fighting series, missing only some of the additions to the home releases and a spotty online implementation

Your enjoyment with Street Fighter 30th Anniversary Collection is going to mainly come down to whether your primary focus is online play. If so, then this isn't going to be your game due to the online play that is spotty at best and non-functional at worst. If not, then this package will definitely be for you, as you'll get 12 arcade-perfect games with gameplay that's still enjoyable today. With the Switch becoming a system that is getting some really good fighting games, this makes for a perfect addition to that genre library.

Recenzja Street Fighter 30th Anniversary Collection is a compilation of 12 original Street Fighter games. Well... Actually 4 and their iterations, but still... It's a treat for every single Street Fighter fan, but atrocious buying decision for every other games. Those games are not good anymore, but carry the weight of nostalgia. Cool collection though.

So overall I’d say the this collection did an amazing job at bringing arcade perfect ports to the latest console generation as well as preserving some amazing history through the design docs, art work etc. The main issue being the online is a little wonky right now can hopefully be fixed. If that happens we have a really special collection, which I’ll be playing for hours on end regardless.

Capcom has done very well, it has brought us a compilation that although it is not perfect, it leaves us with a magnificent taste. Content to spare to keep us glued to the screen for hours, whether playing solo, online or learning curiosities or details of this great saga. A highly recommended game if the Hadokens resonate in your memory and you want to feel the sensations of yesteryear again.
