Flipping Death offers up to 10 hours of gameplay, has brilliant setups to that gameplay, animated fluidly and is voiced by a wonderful cast. It takes the overall flow of Stick It To The Man! and improves on it in every way, allowing more things to see and people to engage with, and engage as. The writing is just as good as ever and there's extra collectables. Zoink Games managed to do even better than their previous offering, which is saying a lot. As with Stick It To The Man!, Flipping Death is a puzzle-platformer with an identity that stands out from the rest and is a nice accomplishment for Zoink Games to have under the belt. I eagerly await the 3rd game in this series.

Flipping Death does share plenty of DNA with Stick it to the Man! - ranging from the floatiness of its platforming to the ability to read the minds of other characters - but that doesn't stop it from being a far superior offering in almost every way. We're still not quite sure why Death is possessing the souls of the living and sorting out the loose ends of the dead, but it makes for a memorable black-humoured adventure that deserves to haunt your Nintendo Switch immediately.

Flipping Death is not only one of the best indie games on the Nintendo Switch, it's one of the best games on Nintendo's hybrid console, period. If you're a fan of Zoink Games then this is a no-brainer, but if you have yet to try some of their great releases, then you can't go wrong with making Flipping Death your first purchase from Zoink Games.

Personally I felt that I lost a little something in the process by doing so. In the end though, it all depends on the experience players find most desirable. All what matters is this though: Flipping Death is an adventure game everyone can enjoy.

Flipping Death is a flipping great spiritual successor to Stick it to the Man. There are plenty of undead characters to help crossover, a load of challenges for the possessed living to participate in, and countless laughs to have whilst listening to the hilariously twisted humour the game throws at you. Zoink Games have improved on every aspect of the game which was present in SittM in order to bring us yet another awesome adventure-puzzle platformer. The physics are a bit wobbly but everything else in the puzzle platforming adventure game is as solid as a rock.

Overall, Flipping Death is an outstanding title that is among the most outright entertaining games I’ve played. Rather than use its humor as a crutch to prop up some convoluted puzzles and messy gameplay elements it instead tackles those issues with care and what I think is a great new direction others should look to emulate. If you like a good laugh, even if Adventure games typically don’t work for you, you owe it to yourself to check it out.

Zoink is on a fliptastic roll, Fe was great and now Flipping Death is another huge success. The art designers and visual talent from the Swedish developer is remarkable!

Flipping Death, like Stick it to the Man! before it, is an excellent game that you should definitely buy on PlayStation 4. It's great art style, fun soundtrack, solid gameplay mechanics and humorous writing make this a must-have game on Sony's home console.

Flipping Death is a one-of-a-kind bet. If you liked Stick it to the Man! the new Zoink Games is for you. It's an interesting story, a lot of laughing points, and a clever use of the game mechanics. I wish dying was that much fun.

As a result of its unique art style, professional voice acting, and whimsical world, Flipping Death has found its own place in the adventure genre. Nowadays, it's very challenging to make people laugh. Still, Flipping Death has successfully managed to pull that off with clever use of common jokes and employing a cast of weird and comical characters.

Fun from start to finish. Light-hearted humour with a grim twist that provides for hours upon hours of gaming enjoyment. Proclaimed by Zoink Games as their “Spiritual successor to our well-received game Stick it To The Man!”, Flipping Death shares a very similar art style, whilst taking a completely new gameplay direction. An adventure game based on platforming puzzle solving progression that will challenge you with every chapter you progress through whilst leaving you with a strong sense of accomplishment (or frustration depending on how quickly you figure out the games mechanics). At the time of this review no release date has been announced.

If you like your games with an offbeat sense of humour and plenty of personality, Flipping Death comes recommended. Its central game design hook of flipping between life and death makes for an interesting world to navigate and puzzles to solve, and its characters are so oddball and endearing you'll want to hear every conversation in full, not to mention find out how it all ends.

Zoink Games still has the touch, and Flipping Death is the living proof of it. An original game with plenty of platforming/puzles that may entertain you while it lasts, even with its minor problems.

Zoink has been branching out on their styling a little bit. Both the recently released Fe and upcoming VR game Ghost Giant are a bit of a departure, but their flat, cardboard-styled worlds and laugh-out-loud writing are what I will always know the studio for. Flipping Death is Zoink continuing to polish that formula and correct the balance of compelling gameplay and dialogue. It's visually striking, earns its laughs, and gives plenty of reasons to re-explore both the living and dead sides of Penny Doewood's little town. It might still lean a little heavily on its dialogue, but it never does so in a way that feels like it takes away from the game being played. You might just find Zoink's latest to be worth dying for.

A morbidly amusing narrative in the background of a facetious universe, along with hilarious characters and their puzzling torments, Flipping Death undoubtedly transpires coherence as an adventure game, proving that the genre still belongs to the world of the livings.

Flipping Death is more than clever, you come away from it feeling like a mad scientist of pop up books and although the ending leaves some questions - you hope that just means you'll see Penny again in her next life.
