Great destruction in massive world, but also bad UI, simple and repetitive missions and graphical issues.

While it still presents the same over the top action experience from the last instalment, Just Cause 4 fails to impress with its general look and the new extreme weather and grappling hook attachments which were interesting but underused.

Just Cause 4 suffers from having little to no meat on its bones and a very poor graphical presentation. The complete freedom of movement is exhilarating but ultimately not enough to keep your attention for more than a couple sessions.

On one side, we can’t deny we had a lot of fun dipping in and out of Just Cause 4. It’s an exciting, crazy sandbox with some wonderful tools and pretty non-stop action. The downside is - Just Cause 3 did most of this stuff a lot better.

Just Cause 4 may be a maniacal sandbox full of explosions and action, but it's a world that feels dull, repetitive and hollow inside as it missed the mark on being the perfect vehicle for some much-needed Christmas Catharsis.

Just Cause 4 feels uninspired and lacks anything new and exciting enough to keep players hooked. While the moment to moment gameplay is fun and refined, the lack of variety in both setting and structure makes the game fade into the background in a year packed with so many impressive titles.

I adored the second game, dealt with the third one, but this fourth entry just lost its appeal far too quickly. It might be time to rethink and restructure the series, or perhaps move on to a new idea.

Just Cause 4 delivers a truly astounding open world that lacks much to do beyond “blow up more gas tanks.” A shallow story, an absence of interesting NPCs, and frustrating mission design make for an uninvolving game that sometimes feels like a job to play. There is fun to be had in Just Cause 4, but only if you stage a revolution against what the game wants you to do.

The longer you play through it though, the more you’ll start to notice its cracks. The repetitive mission structure, bugs/glitches, and the lack of those fun weather moments during non-main campaign tasks are sadly noticeable. Just Cause 4 is a bit shoddy in some areas and is one of those releases whose fun factor depletes over time. It still provides a slew of entertaining moments, but not enough interesting takes on the types of themes that are starting to feel a bit played out.

At its core, Just Cause 4 seems like a game that's been directed by Michael Bay. Special effects are fancy and explosions are always pretty to look at, but there's no real depth or anything meaningful to find in this game.

Just Cause 4 succeeds in being a chaotic open world in which ammunition tricks and vehicles are always on.

Just Cause 4 is an easy-to-play sandbox of chaos with a sprinkling of extreme weather. It holds strong due to an improved grapple and varied tools, and while this explosive sequel won't set the world on fire, you can blow up enough things to make it interesting.

In conclusion, Just Cause 4 is a pretty good game and even though it is not the best part of the series, it will not disappoint anyone who has played the previous titles and it has the potential through its good story to bring new fans to its universe.

Just Cause 4 feels like you're living in and advancing the plot of a B–movie, and that's amazing. Wherever Rico goes, there's bound to be action, excitement, and more importantly, explosions.

Overall, Just Cause 4 feels every bit the game that Just Cause 3 did, yet it pales in comparison due to its lacklustre presentation, stilted design and derivative story

Should you join Rico in his newest mission? The answer lies in the kinds of game you enjoy. If you had fun with the prior titles, then Just Cause 4 delivers enough improvements to make it worth a playthrough.

An 80s action movie in videogame form, some poor design choices don't stop this being a great sandbox to play in.

If you don't really care about the story and repetition doesn't bore you, then you'll love the action and enjoy your time with wingsuit, parachute and grappling hook trio.
