The Golf Club 2019 Reviews
The gameplay, which you grow into the more you play, is more satisfying than the PGA Tour itself
With a new PGA Tour license, difficult but fair controls, and a pleasing presentation, The Golf Club 2019 is a straight shot down the fairway.
Much credit should be given to HB Studios for what it has done with The Golf Club franchise.
Despite the arrival of the PGA license, we feel that it is still very untapped.

The Golf Club 2019 is a comprehensive simulation, and will undoubtedly please those who are looking for one. Considering that the game does not have much competition, it is nice to see that the developers aren't slacking and are delivering a passionate product with authentic branding. As for people like myself who are more accustomed to less realistic golf games, The Golf Club 2019's steep control learning curve and uneven presentation may turn you off at first, but you may find yourself getting addicted to the game once you get the hang of things.
For the time being, The Golf Club 2019 finishes in the middle of the pack. It had such promise and potential but duffs it too many times on what should be easy shots. Until HB Studios goes back and fixes its swing issues, give this a pass.
For golf fans, The Golf Club 2019 featuring PGA Tour should be an essential purchase. It's the refinement of all of HB Studios previous work, and while the series may have started out as an indie underdog it now feels like a AAA sports franchise.
Without question, The Golf Club 2019 has received a large credibility injection thanks to the involvement of the PGA Tour. Sadly, this feels like a half-implemented crossover that doesn't utilize the license to anywhere near its full potential. Hitting the course is as gratifying as it's ever been, but the end product feels like it needed another trip to the driving range before its tee time. Like a 320-yard drive on a par 5, it's a fantastic starting point, but still well short of the flag.
The Golf Club 2019 Featuring PGA Tour's foundations are built upon a rock-solid simulation, with tight swinging and tough greens making for a stern challenge that's difficult but fair. The addition of licensed courses means that this year's game has a much better campaign, but it doesn't feel like HB Studios has had quite enough time to capture the sense of occasion that real TPC events can have. As such, with 2K Sports now also on board as publisher, we reckon it's the next instalment that's really going to impress. The building blocks are all in place, though, and if you're in need of a serious golf game on your PS4 right now, then this edition very much finds the green.

The Golf Club 2019 is a very good golf game, which shines in particular by its game system both realistic and rewarding. It does not hustle the codes, but offers an infinite renewal, thanks to its system of procedural generation in addition to the official courses of the PGA Tour. The loading times also benefits from a particular optimization and are non-existent during play, which favors concentration.

From your first tee to your umpteenth hole, The Golf Club 2019 Featuring PGA Tour really nails that heart-in-mouth feeling of swinging your club like a pro.
The Golf Tour 2019 gets players hooked, is challenging and deep in its gameplay for veterans and easy access for rookies.

If not for the sheer beauty that is the creation suite, I almost guarantee you that I couldn't recommend you stay away from The Golf Club 2019 fast enough. The physics are way off, and for those who have played golf titles in the past, this is a travesty of epic proportions. I hope the next title sees some fixes, including the inclusion of real-life PGA golfers. The Golf Club 2019 is purely an exercise in mediocrity wrapped up in a nice bow. Yeah, this game is disappointing.
The Golf Club 2019 is the series’ most rewarding and accessible release yet
The more you practice The Golf Club 2019, the better you'll get. Not only will you feel better once you hit the links, but you might also find yourself competent and skilled enough to actually finish (and hopefully win!) an entire round! From there, the rest is history. The Golf Club 2019 is a winner in my book and certainly a game that fans of golf sims and realistic sports games will treasure for years to come.
Sure, it may be a sport for the rich and aristocratic among us, but in the virtual world of The Golf Club 2019, we can all experience a little bit of the competitive high life. It may not land an ace, but it's still plenty under par.
The addition of proper online multiplayer and the PGA Tour career mode make The Golf Club 2019 a meaningful improvement over its already impressive predecessor, even if the initial learning curve is on steeper side and the visual presentation remains stuck in the past.
The Golf Club 2019 presents a good challenge for new and experienced players alike, and does a nice job of making you feel like you've accomplished something anytime you pull off a successful round or tournament.
The Golf Club 2019 certainly isn't everybody's golf game, but if you're in the centre of the (admittedly small) Venn diagram of "prefers the intricacy of SKATE to the button-mashing of Tony Hawk's Pro Skater" and "is really hardcore into golf" then you're in for a massive treat.
