One Piece: World Seeker is an unfinished game. Its open world is shockingly barren, its gameplay is clearly undercooked, and its presentation is placeholder. Eventually, Luffy's skill tree does allow for a little more fun, but the title still ends up feeling like an in-house development build that's used for playtesting, not a full price retail release. As a One Piece game it's bad enough, but as an open world title in 2019, it's borderline unacceptable.

One Piece: World Seeker is a shallow open world action game saved only by its nice art direction and technical achievements.

Ultimately, One Piece: World Seeker is a super fun game that does the iconic franchise justice and serves as an engrossing and delightful standalone experience.

One Piece: World Seeker represents the anime's umpteenth blown attempt to capture its charm and imaginative creativity in a video game.

One Piece: World Seeker is lacking in so many areas. It may be lovely to look at, but an overall shallow and repetitive experience take away any semblance of joy fans are likely to find.

One Piece : World Seeker isn't a great open world. Some gameplay mechanics are too obsolete. The story writen by Oda is good but surrounded by a disappointing gameplay. The world is too empty to deeply involve the player.

One Piece: World Seeker has a lot of great ideas poorly implemented in a game with wasted potential. Looking from the outside, all of its basic mechanics and elements work just fine, but all of them have many issues or don't go any further to offer something unique or remarkable. Yeah, its fun at the beginning but it turns boring and repetitive on the long term.

It may not be perfect, but it's still well worth a look for both longtime fans of One Piece and newcomers who want to see what a proper game based on the series can be.

Disappointing anime / manga implementation with static open world and poorly thought-out gameplay.

One Piece: World Seeker marks an interesting foray into the open-world genre for Luffy, borrowing familiar sandbox mechanics from games like Spider-Man and the Arkham series. It's not as polished as those games and can be guilty of incorporating some of the more annoying and overused mechanics of the genre. The original story, however, is very much One Piece and its fun boss fights are pure, over-the-top mayhem. It's not quite Pirate King yet but has potential to be a promising series with some extra polish.

Looking at the project as a whole, one thinks that ONE PIECE: World Seeker would have needed a more careful gestation before landing on our shelves.

One Piece World Seeker is an interesting game. It’s just probably not quite what fans of the manga and anime were hoping for.

Even if you don't know anything about the manga or anime, One Piece: World Seeker will dazzle your mind with its colorful world and satisfy your need to bash some skulls with its addictive combat. In other words, it's a great time.

I enjoyed One Piece: World Seeker in spite of its flaws, but anyone who isn't a big fan of One Piece will likely find the game a chore to get through.

Although it's filled with annoying moments World Seeker is more fun than frustration. There are some rookie issues with it but the exploration still absolutely makes the game what it is.

Fans of Monkey D. Luffy and the rest of the Straw Hat Crew will undoubtedly find something to like in World Seeker, but that doesn't hide the game's poor mission structure, the lack of variety and overall dullness. This ship's sunk.

One Piece: World Seeker falls flat. Its poor mechanics, sloppy combat, slow pacing, and repetitiveness all made me want to stop playing. The game has a decent story but was not worth the frustration. I would not recommend. 4/10

Despite having a rich universe of content to draw from, it seems as though it's doomed to be just another average anime-inspired video game.

The best way to look at One Piece World Seekeris that it's an anime game that is trying to be slightly better than the usual anime game. In this aspect the game succeeds, it just comes at a hefty price. Nice visuals and a new story don't completely make up for lackluster combat and empty world, but they do help. So, if you just want a fairly easy open world game set in the world of One Piece, then this should meet your expectations. But, if you want deep or complicated journey through the world of One Piece, you might want to keep looking.

One Piece: World Seeker could have been so much more that it is. While many of its elements were executed rather well and are still very enjoyable, many others feel uninspired and generic. Hopefully, Bandai Namco and Ganbarion learn from this first attempt at an open-world One Piece game and are able to improve on it in the future, as World Seeker has made it clear that One Piece would work very well as a large-scale open-world game.
