Truberbrook Reviews
Trüberbrook is the kind of game that is entwined with art. The visuals are mesmerizing, stunning and beautiful and the overall atmosphere is very likable and unique. Although the game is not perfect at all and there are numbers of narrative and gameplay issues, it's definitely worth the money you'll spend on it.

If you can overlook these problems, Trüberbrook offers up fun moments all the way through.
Truberbrook is definitely the best looking adventure game to date, and thanks to its wonderful music and sound design, it is a great choice for fans of the genre. That said, issues in story-telling and some weird puzzles prevent it from becoming a new benchmark for adventure games.

I wanted to enjoy Trüberbrook but mediocre frustrating gameplay can only be helped so much by amazing art.
The attention to detail in this point-and-click style game is second to none, the humour really adds to the story and its charm. The Story itself, is just awesome, worthy of gracing the silver screen. Put it this way you won’t want to put Trüberbrook down once it hooks you, and it will. The twists, the thrills, the locations, this story will keep you guessing to the very end.
If you’re looking for something with a bit more quirk, some initial mystery, and a load of enjoyable characters Trüberbrook has the goods...
Trüberbrook is visually and musically pleasing adventure game based on a solid idea and interesting story pitch. However story itself is not so good. Plot twists fall flat, dialogues have a lot of problems be that in the way they are written or in the way there are said. Solution of many puzzles is plain stupid and graphical user interface could be better. All of this spoils overall gaming experience. In my humble opinion Trüberbrook might work better as a short movie than a videogame which is kind of sad.

Trüberbrook is not a bad game, but with its slow pace, one-dimensional NPCs, overly simplistic gameplay and abrupt ending, its not an easy suggestion.

Truberbrook is a truly charming point and click adventure game that gets most things right. The issues that are present are more than outweighed by the brilliant visuals, great audio, and enjoyable cast of characters.
Trüberbrook offers us a precious adventure that, despite its limited difficulty and a certain narrative awkwardness when interspersing the different chapters that make up the story, will enter our eyes thanks to its overwhelming visual finish and will reach us directly into the heart, where it will connect with that kid inside us who, years ago, wanted to be Fox Mulder

In order to do justice to Trüberbrook, one must distinguish between two or three basic aspects: Story/Gameplay and Presentation. While the presentation is on a very high level thanks to the good voice actors and the unique backdrops, the other two aspects are a bit different. Despite its straightforwardness, the story is relatively interesting, but quickly loses its tension because of the rather average game mechanics. Basically, the studio btf proves that everyone involved understands their craft very well and also solidly applies it to video games, but that they can still use some help when it comes to game mechanics. For fans of point & click adventure games it's definitely a nice title for in between because of the low price. All in all Trüberbrook is not a title you have to have played.

Truberbrook is a game that I have personally quite enjoyed. It wont be for everyone, and if you`re not a fan of point and click games then you do need to stay away from this.
Trüberbrook drew me in with its gorgeous visuals and had me hooked with its story and narrative. Even though the puzzle solving is mostly limited to narration options and simplified environmental inventory puzzles, the various personalities you’ll interact with really helps to make each solution different from the last. The process of how the developers created each environment in real life, then scanned them in, all whilst applying powder to create winter and their own lighting for the various time periods, is all very fascinating and perfectly came together into a spectacular visual treat for your eyes!
WORTH CONSIDERING - I had high hopes for Trüberbrook. With its unique graphics, surreal setting, and sci-fi point-and-click adventure I figured it would be right up my alley. Unfortunately clunky and slow controls combined with so-so puzzles and uninteresting dialog made for a slightly above average affair.
While I enjoyed my time in Trüberbrook, I did find the story a bit haphazard. That being said, the story was good enough to keep me invested until the end of the tale and at times, comical. I loved the art style, characters and environments. The whole aesthetic was very pleasing and beautiful to look at. The game does bring some welcome gameplay tweaks to the point and click formula to cut down on pointless trial and error meandering. I liked that a lot, more point and click games should do this and I really appreciated it.
Unfortunately, I didn't like Trüberbrook as much as I thought at first. The really charming artstyle and the great scenery are combined with a nice story, but technical weaknesses look out at all corners and edges. Whether it's the sluggish camera, the uninteresting opponent with the soporific voice or puzzles without inspiration. I don't want to punish all of the puzzles here by far, because some are really well guessed and have a crazy solution. However, the few negative examples are all the more important.

Even though Truberbrook looks and sounds fantastic, its obtuse puzzles and forgettable storytelling make it difficult to recommend.
It's by no means perfect, but with a heart the size of the mountain it backs up to, Truberbrook is well worth the play for genre purists and those looking for some quirky personality in their games.
Trüberbrook is a unique, yet flawed, experience. The game’s art design is an incredible feat, and the amount of sheer effort on display from the developer is tremendous; every frame of Trüberbrook demonstrates the incredible work that btf has achieved in creating the distinct scenery. However, the game suffers from some narrative issues, most notably in regards to its awkward pacing, and as a result the entire experience is affected. Fans of point-and-click adventure games should give Trüberbrook a fair try, but other gamers may wish to enter with caution.
