We. The Revolution Reviews
We. The Revolution is a fascinating and provoking descent into a judge's buckled shoes during the French Revolution.
Much of We. The Revolution may feel like busy work for a lot of people. You'll spend so much of the game reading through reams of text and managing stats that we can confidently state that it's definitely not for everyone. As an insight into the hardships of the French Revolution, however, it's an incredibly authentic, thoughtful experience, and those with even a lick of interest in history will find a lot to love here.
We. The Revolution is a stand-out recreation of the nightmare that was the French Revolution. Despite the turn based strategy mechanics falling flat, Polyslash still manage to put you on the edge of your seat by performing the near impossible feat of making resource management exciting. This is a game that demands you keep your head, when everyone else around you is losing theirs.
We. The Revolution is clearly not for everyone. It's undoubtedly slow with the most thrilling aspect being the persuasion speeches, and even then that's just dialogue. But if you're in the mood for something that really transports you to the tumultuous time of the French Revolution then I don't think you will find a better way there.
With its captivating and highly-original setting, engrossing story, and eye-catching visual style, We. The Revolution is without question one of year's more intriguing titles. If not for the lack of polish and depth of its courtroom sections, coupled with a handful of minor issues, We. The Revolution would be well deserving of a place on anyone's 2019 must-buy list.
We. The Revolution challenged my sense of justice and morals, and for that alone, I can easily recommend this title to fans of history or those craving a bit of despair. The game puts the situation into a new perspective that lets us think for ourselves, and while I may not have made some good decisions, you won’t pass judgment easily either.
We. The Revolution is a great concept, there's no doubt about that. Unfortunately, it falls down at one of its key moments, but the overall experience is still tense and very atmospheric.
Thanks to its quality plot and presentation and to the weight of the actions that the players' role commits them to, We. The Revolution knows how to engage and the experience would be even more enjoyable were it not for some adaptation issues related to control problems and the small size of the text on the Nintendo Switch screen.

A very interesting plot, an intriguing setting, and superb acting can avoid some repetitiveness. We. the revolution is a solid and smart sim, specially for lovers of games with historic themes.

We.The Revolution is an interesting experience, but beyond that, the game pushes the player to make choices by following either the opinion of the different forces or himself. The scripted side of some trials and the frustrating side of Parisian life management do not necessarily help in immersion. But we must still salute the work done and We.The Revolution is a small oasis in the middle of a desert full of AAA titles.

We. The Revolution is a gorgeous, high stakes, intense exploration of politics during the Reign of Terror and combines interesting mechanics and storytelling to fully immerse the player in a story of corruption and desperate survival
We. The Revolution propose a very good concept with a very immersive atmosphere. The choice of the french Revolution is brillant, unfortunately some mechanics like tacticals phases don't feel relevant at all.

We. the Revolution is the kind of game that you need to concentrate on, in a way that is captivating and graphic.
Although We. The Revolution has the potential to be a deep and challenging political strategy game, its gameplay becomes too shallow to be much of anything.
We. The Revolution looks great, and the courtroom gameplay is interesting and kept me coming back. But, if you're looking for a fleshed-out or comprehensive RTS experience, you'll be sorely disappointed.
A unique journey through the history of the French Revolution, filled with important decision making, schemes and machinations. Eliminate your enemies and keep your head!
We. The Revolution is a unique take on a historical time from the perspective of someone who has power. The game has a lot of strategies at your control as you need to decide what kind of "man" you want to be.
While its scope may turn off people looking for a more focused game, you simply couldn’t ask for a better representation of the time period — even when it strays from what the books say for the sake of a consistent narrative
We. The Revolution throws the player into the febbrile days of the French Revolution, judge and main actor of a stabbing drama that it doesn't have all the pieces in the correct place.

All told, We. The Revolution comes together to make a thoroughly enjoyable experience.
