Trover Saves the Universe Reviews
If Trover Saves the Universe wouldn’t present quite the same allure outside of VR due to its simple core gameplay – and indeed, it can be played flat – the added immersion does a fantastic job of enhancing Roiland’s bonkers comedic vision.
Trover Saves the Universe is a creative and hilarious ride through the wonderfully insane mind of Justin Roiland. Boasting memorable characters, an incredibly funny script, and unique but thoroughly enjoyable gameplay, Trover is one of the most fun games currently available for VR.
Combat, puzzles, and exploration feel familiar and unspectacular, but the bizarre story and hilarious dialogue set it apart
From a gameplay standpoint, Trover it's a simple game, one with simple mechanics and easy to play. What makes it special it's the dialogs, the humor y the nonsense situations you can live in it, making it a continous gag hard to not laugh at it... if you like the kind of humor of series like Rick y Morty. If that's not the case, run away from it.

Trover Saves the Universe is perhaps the most fun, foul-mouthed and irreverent game you can enjoy in VR, but the gameplay is not always as good as writing.

Trover Saves The Universe isn't the most challenging game players will experience this year, but it's unique, and it's also probably the funniest.
Charming is certainly the word I'd use to describe Trover Saves the Universe. In spite of its underwhelming gameplay and disorganized storytelling, there's a definite sense of joy to be had while exploring the vibrant planets of the cosmos alongside Trover and his R-rated sense of humor.
If you like Just Roiland's works, you like Trover Saves The universe, if you dont, you dont like this game

A rare, honest-to-goodness video game comedy that will delight Rick and Morty fans but also features some imaginative use of VR.
Justin Roiland's usual obnoxious humor is both the best and worst thing about an otherwise no-frills platformer.
Trover Saves the Universe is still going to be laugh-out-loud funny no matter how you approach it, but the additional context and enhanced mechanics when using a headset make it a little bit sweeter. Just approach it as more of a comedy experience that happens to be a platformer.
Trover Saves the Universe is a very funny adventure game that doesn't offer the same brand of gameplay as Astro Bot Rescue Mission, but Justin Roiland's humour makes it much more appealing.
Trover Saves the Universe feels really, really chill, and that alone makes it pleasantly different from most other games out there.
Trover Saves the Universe is a hilarious game that fans of Justin Roiland will likely have a lot of fun with, but the platforming and combat are as basic as they can be.
One of PS4's strangest offerings, Trover Saves the Universe is a mouthy, madcap adventure with words that speak louder than its action. It's not all that long, but the promise of free DLC will extend the adventure later down the line. The option to play on the TV as well as PSVR is welcome, although it's clear the game is built with the immersive headset in mind. However you play it, the unusual landscapes, characters, and scenarios are what make this a game worth playing, but be aware of the silly and often dark humour before you take the plunge.
Trover Saves the Universe is a surprisingly fun little game. The humour will not be to everybody's tastes, and while the core gameplay is extremely strong by itself, your appreciation for their style of comedy will ultimately determine whether or not you see this one through to the end. But for us, this was a hilarious twist on the puzzle-platformer genre which we can highly recommend for anybody looking for something a bit more weird and twisted.
Trover Saves the Universe was created with a very specific audience in mind. Fans of Roiland's work will absolutely adore this game, but those who don't like his particular style of humor will find this game's writing tasteless and annoying. The game is a little weak on the gameplay front, but the hilarious dialogue and beautiful scenery more than make up for that. Trover Saves the Universe is an excellent game, but only a select group of people will enjoy it.
It's a fun adventure which screams Rick & Morty. It's not a game that will be remembered for a long time, but it'll definitely put a smile on your face.

A fun but short platformer that may make you laugh but yo won't remember once yo have ended playing it.

While it’s a bummer for those without VR, the game’s commitment to virtual reality is something the medium could always use more of, even if it comes alongside a foul-mouthed Eyehole Monster who once fucked shrinkle when he thought it was a dinkle.
