Assetto Corsa Competizione Reviews
Assetto Corsa Competizione is a realistic GT racing game that will thrill fans and bring in new ones that may not be familiar with the circuit. With beautiful graphics and realistic driving mechanics, the only thing holding this game back is the amount of content provided at launch. But at $39.99, there is plenty to keep you busy.
The game is mostly aimed for those who have a very powerful PC. They will undoubtedly enjoy one of the best titles ever in this category.

The Next-Gen version of Assetto Corsa Competizione is a disaster. It can improve with attention and pertinent updates since the simulation and the gameplay are there, but it seems that there is no interest in doing it.

I get that esports and simulations are popular at the moment but this is one game that probably did not need to cross from PC to console.
Assetto Corsa Competizone has something to offer for strong enthusiasts of the sport. Even then, there's little here that isn't done better in other games.
Assetto Corsa Competizione waters down its own mechanical excellence.
It is great to see a free next-gen upgrade for a game. While I appreciate that some developers charge for their upgrades, you can see that their time and effort needs to be paid for somewhere.
Asseto Corsa Competizione is very well made racing simulator, which will please all the fans. On the other hand, casual players could be easily bored with lack of game content and bad optimalization on consoles. If you love endurance races, driving in the nigt and if you are able to appreciate dynamic wether systems and great feeling from driving the GT3 cars, Asseto Corsa Competizione is just for you.

The underpinnings of a great racing sim are here, but for Assetto Corsa to branch out and hit that next level, it needs more next time. They have a physics engine that feels good, even if it’s too temperamental with a gamepad. The cars and the environments are stunning to look at, even if it’s not the best you’ll find on a PS4. It can even be fun to play, but with how dry the game feels, there isn’t any incentive for those other than your hardcore endurance sim fan to continue racing.
Without any doubt, Assetto Corsa Competizione has a long way ahead to reach the quality of the icons of Racing Simulation Genre but in some aspects like car physics and sound design it's phenomenal. Overall it's an unbalanced package with many lows and a few highs.

Once it gets into gear, Assetto Corsa Competizione turns into an enjoyable enough driving experience, with some often frustrating quirks. Every move, pass, and failure made is analysed, scored, and presented back with a grade at such a granular level you'll be left scratching your head at how you ever passed your driving test in the first place. However, the unstable framerate, janky animations, erratic camera modes, and lack of other in-game tracks and vehicles without paying more for the DLC, means that this is one for racing sim aficionados only.
Assetto Corsa Competizione is a game made only for those seeking a full, unquestioned simulation, and its inconsistencies and lack of structure leave little room for error and a lot of room for frustration, even with the upgraded performance on the new consoles.
Assetto Sorsa Competizione features incredible driving, fantastic sound design, impressive weather effects, and gorgeous cars and tracks on which to drive them. Unfortunately, its limited career mode, poorly implemented safety rating, spotty AI, and lack of polish keep it from achieving greatness on the track.
Assetto Corsa Competizione is a racing simulator with so much potential, but Kunos Simulazioni and d3t engineers haven't managed to prepare it for a good performance in PS4 and Xbox One since the very first race. If they prepare some updates in the factory, maybe it will be able to compite for the victories in the future.

With a career mode lacking in substance, strange bugs and a limited set of content, Assetto Corsa Competizione is hard to recommend. Perhaps in 2021, with a slew of patches and DLC expansions it will be in a better place, but for now, Assetto Corsa Competizione is a superlative solo driving experience trapped in a flawed video game.
The console versions of Assetto Corsa Competizione are capable of great racing, but they're also riddled with problems.
Assetto Corsa Competizione may someday be a top-notch racing simulator, but then again it might not. As of version 1.0, ACC is a study of the potential costs of releasing a product too soon. There is a lot of potential on display, but there is also a great deal left to be either fixed or finished. The current state of the VR implementation is very sub-par, and the most common form of head tracking, TrackIR, has not been implemented at all. Adopt a wait and see strategy for now - eventually/hopefully continued updates will fix the most egregious problems.
Thanks to the smooth gameplay and 4K support, Assetto Corsa Competizione prides itself in its sense of immersion. Well, that’s if you can spare the extra cash for a wheel and pedals. However, the lacklustre variety and less than desirable controller feel keep making me ask myself the same question. Why not just buy Gran Turismo 7?
Racing games' fans will have a great time and enjoy one of the most realistic driving models we have seen in recent years in videogames.

Assetto Corsa Competizione has built what could be a great foundation for pure racing simulation with excellent AI behavior and authentic audio, but if you don't have a steering wheel to use, you're probably not going to enjoy it as much.
