Cyberpunk 2077 has a lot of potential to be a great game, but that potential is buried under a mountain of egregious technical issues.

It’s fine to make a game like that — for many, that’s the promise of Cyberpunk 2077. It just wasn’t the promise to me.

As someone with a lifelong soft spot for the medium-specific charm of video game glitches, Cyberpunk 2077's botched launch just ain't it. Even overlooking the rushed rollout, after an eternity of being bludgeoned in the face with hyperbole, running through 2077 feels like five different games stitched together into an entertaining, passably decent, generic behemoth.

Cyberpunk 2077 is, in all regards, a brilliant RPG. It offers everything you want but comes short in a few areas. The AI is dumber than a stump and police spawns are all over the place. Aside from that, the game would be near perfect if it wasn't for the many bugs and crashes you will encounter during playing. The game was released too soon and unfortunately, it's painfully obvious.

Cyberpunk 2077 is a massive undertaking, and unfortunately this undertaking doesn’t completely hit its mark. It has potential, but the product currently available needs more work. I enjoyed the experience, but it was a struggle at times.

Overall, Cyberpunk 2077 is a fun game that is plagued by bugs. Unfortunately, I can't recommend this game in its current state, but with patches this should improve.

It may not sound like it, but I enjoyed many aspects of Cyberpunk 2077. It doesn't hit the highs of The Witcher 3, but it still has a lot going for it. However, it was released in such an unfinished state that it's hard to give it a positive review. It's an 8.0 game hiding in a 4.0 game wrapper.

Cyberpunk 2077 fails as a role playing game, although living in the cynical Night City is an impressive experience. The choices you make carry minimal weight. The characters are not distinctive. On the other hand, Night City is an incredibly beautiful and complex open world that almost cannot bear comparison. As an action game, Cyberpunk 2077 has its faults, but the combat experience is engrossing and multifaceted. In general, it is a very good game, which is a shame to let it lie idle, although perhaps it is better to wait for patches until spring. Defying Mike Pondsmith, Cyberpunk 2077 would be a marvel.

Cyberpunk 2077 has most of the makings of a great open world RPG but an avalanche of bugs and crashes prevent most of this potential from shining through the grime.

In time, it will likely get better, which makes it hard to recommend, as patience shouldn’t be a requirement to enjoy a video game, especially from a studio highly praised in providing great games. If you do take the plunge, there’s greatness found deep inside, you just need to dig with your hands longer than usual to get to it.

I anticipate CDPR's PlayStation 5 version of the game will be an outstanding upgrade to this problematic release, and await with complete impatience and hope that my second trip through Night City will erase my doubt in its potential.

Cyberpunk 2077 was doomed to fail. It’s not an unplayably bad game by any stretch of the imagination, but it could never live up to the hype that surrounded its release. Don’t get me wrong, you could play Cyberpunk 2077 and have an absolute blast, but it’s more likely that you won’t. I could almost feel the game constantly oscillating between an incredible experience and shockingly bad. The hard truth is that CDPR should have delayed the release even further. Sure, people grew tired of waiting, but the product we received on launch was an insult. It’s not that the glitches and bugs are impossible to ignore; you just shouldn’t have to. As it stands, Cyberpunk 2077 still has ridiculous potential, but CDPR has a lot of work to do to get there.

Cyberpunk 2077 is a good RPG with an interesting futuristic world, solid brazillian adaptation work and gameplay mechanics that allows certain flexibility on solving the missions. However, to the same extent, the game suffers from many bugs and, even without them, it would not be in a position to meet all the expectations by presenting a limited customization and a narrative in which choices have little impact. Without all the hype in mind, there is an interesting journey that I hope can shine properly with future updates.

Cyberpunk 2077 is definitely a massive CRPG undertaking. If it weren’t for the glitches and bugs in the way, I’d say CD Projekt has a helluva masterpiece in its hands.

Cyberpunk 2077 offers players an interesting world to explore, great storytelling, and loveable and deep characters. But the main story is light on cyberpunk themes, and the bugs and bad graphics really hinder the playability. Once the technical bugs are hammered out, Cyberpunk 2077 will be a game I would recommend.

Too ambitious for its own good, Cyberpunk 2077 attempts to do too much and falters in its execution as a result. Despite its issues, it’s better than the sum of its parts and might be worth checking out for fans of action RPGs.

At this moment, Cyberpunk 2077 for the PC is a game of big ups and downs. The setting is fantastic, but there aren't too many characters you're going to resonate with. The missions may vary widely in terms of inventiveness and quality, but the open world feels sterile since there isn't much to do. The many abilities you can use seem to encourage inventiveness, but your gun is often the universal answer for almost all situations. Cyberpunk 2077 would be a good game if it weren't for all of the issues currently plaguing it; the bugs range from hilarious to deal-breakers, but we certainly hope that the developer's track record in fixing things over time means that this game will eventually become solid enough. It rates a little higher than the console versions due to the knockout beauty that's delivered with ray tracing, but don't expect this title to be in any of this year's Game of the Year discussions.

Fantastic and fantastically flawed, Cyberpunk 2077 has the makings of a masterpiece held back by incongruities of narrative and confusing design choices, but it's worth playing for its world alone

Cyberpunk 2077 is a great timewaster filled with plenty of opportunities for dumb fun that come from the clever implementation of future tech into its combat. Unfortunately, it fails to deliver on the clear ambition in its writing, mostly due to the clutter that drowns out its few moments of true inspiration.

Cyberpunk entices you to dive into a gorgeous new world, until you get up close and spot the imperfections. There's a lot to like about Cybperunk 2077 and just as many problems with the way it's been put together. For now, consider this purchase carefully if you're a console owner.
