Final Fantasy VII Remake Reviews
Final Fantasy VII: Remake is a must-have for any fan of either JRPGs or Final Fantasy games altogether. It is a great introduction to the deep lore established over 23 years ago and well worth the trip for any fan seeking to return to Midgar. I look forward to part II and hope the momentum created by this game is carried throughout the years to come.
Final Fantasy VII Remake is beautiful, entertaining, and enjoyable to play, and at times, it improves upon the original game. However, the game moves in a direction which is worrisome, messy, and disappointing. I believe that still the best way to experience Final Fantasy VII is to play the masterpiece that came out in 1997

I don't know if I enjoyed Final Fantasy VII Remake as much as I was fascinated by it. The game is bound to divide fans and newcomers, but it's the kind of experience that's going to be dissected for decades to come - much like the original.
Final Fantasy VII Remake is a dream that finally came true. A dream that not only is precious to die hard fans of the series, but also opens a beautiful door to those who never experienced a Final Fantasy game before.

Final Fantasy VII Remake is a fan's wet dream come true. It takes everything that has made the original game memorable and expands on it beautifully. It has the potential to become the best Final Fantasy game released this generation, but it is not exactly flawless.
23 years old classics is back with new graphics and adjusted gameplay. Still worth to play.

This game is a must-play.
The final chapter of the remake may be disappointing for many fans of the original game. However, the rest of the remake is almost perfect renewal of the classic Final Fantasy VII, with greatly expanded Midgar, excellent battle system and lovely cast of characters.

Mediocre world design, poor pacing, and plotting that fails to fully capture what made the original so special, it's hard not to walk away feeling like this isn't a disappointment across the board.
Final Fantasy VII Remake is so amazing that not just pays her debt to the original game and remaking that in a very high quality, but it also can guides the future games of the series to the right path. Although it has some minor problems like camera controls in fighting, but it is an absolute masterpiece and one of the best remakes created ever. Either you play the original game or not, don't hesitate to experience Final Fantasy VII Remake.

Square Enix deserve another standing ovation for resurrecting this classic in the manner they have done so. Let's just hope we don't have decades of waiting before we get to play Part 2.
Final Fantasy 7 Remake is a love-letter to the source material. It does a much better job at telling the gripping story and makes you truly feel for the inhabitants of Midgar. Lay to rest any worries you may have had over its length as well, as this first “episode” will provide you with a full game’s worth of content.
Despite the huge expectations around it, Final Fantasy VII Remake manages to exceed them and deliver an incredible reimagination of the most important JRPG of all time, with a fantastic experience both on its story and on the battlefield, that should please both new and old fans alike.

Final Fantasy 7 Remake is a love letter to the original game. With likeable characters, engaging gameplay, and clever twists and turns, FF7R does everything that it needs to. An over-reliance on pre-existing knowledge of FF7 may make it a tough introduction for new players. The strong writing and excellent gameplay should carry newcomers over the finish line, even if they're confused by things by the end. The ending might be a little controversial, but the rest of the game sets up such a strong base that I can't wait for Final Fantasy VII Remake Part 2.
Much like its predecessor, Final Fantasy 7 Remake is far from perfect. Its linear design and difficulty spikes may be off-putting for some, but stick through the rough bits and there's another incredible story and wonderful world waiting.
Final Fantasy VII Remake is the piece that knew to blend the past with the present. What Square Enix has done is cause for celebration, as it has been able to fabricate everything we imagined and the vision we had of the original more than two decades ago. Easily, Final Fantasy VII Remake can give modern makers a lecture on how a remake should be done. The adventure that started in Midgar relives again and has surprised us again.

I don't necessarily see FFVII Remake as a replacement to the original game, as remakes generally are. It's a complement to it, where the developers have built on the world and characters in such a way that it's like two sides of a single coin - for me, at least, without one, the other doesn't exist.
Midgar has been truly brought to life in this Re-imagined chapter in the Final Fantasy VII universe, it is packed with impressive details. Final Fantasy VII Remake is a very well done game, it is much more polished and complete than the series latest installments and it offers a nice level of challenge that will satisfy action RPGs lovers. However, we did wish for the game to be more open and less controlling for the player's actions.

Taken as a new game based on the PS1 Classic, building and improving on some of its aspects while drastically changing others, this is a beautiful game with a great battle system and some of the best character development ever, but its structure falters somewhat at times.

This remake is a chance for those who have yet to play FFVII to learn what it’s about and why it’s one of the most iconic games of all time. This reimagination of FFVII is what I believe the fans have always thought FFVII would be deep inside them.
