Every inch of Resident Evil 3 has been polished to a blinding sheen. From gameplay and replay value, to the overhauled story and environments, this game is a masterpiece, and the new standard bearer for Capcom's franchise.
Resident Evil 3 is a good game that doesn't manage to reach the heights that Resident Evil 2 did. Nemesis has a great new look but he doesn't instill fear like Mr. X did last year. The game is also quite short. Resident Evil Resistance has an interesting concept but suffers from balancing and technical issues.

Resident Evil 3 is a worthy successor to the Resident Evil 2 remake in every respect. A perfect reimagining and one of the best entries in the Resident Evil franchise.
Resident Evil 3 is a brilliant remake. It is faithful to the original 1999 PSX game, with updated gameplay and graphics, but Capcom has been able to deepen its storyline, characters and connections with RE2. On the downside, you can finish it under 5 hours (first round).

Resident Evil 3's remake might not be as surprising as REmake 2, but it is still a fun ride.
Just as the 1999 original was a more action-focused Resident Evil game that arguably helped pivot the franchise towards the iconic fourth instalment, this 2020 reimagining feels like last year’s game in many ways, only sped up and thirstier for zombie blood. It treads the line between tension and action impressively, and Nemesis cements his legacy as one of the series’ most enduring creatures.
Resident Evil 3 Remake manages to deliver a somewhat authentic remake of the classic game. While it lacks some iconic areas and enemies, it does keep you at the edge of your seat as you face some rather deadly threats. Once the game is over, you can purchase some items from the shop to enhance your next playthroughs like medals that grant health regen and over-powered weapons like a laser gun.. Will I go back and do another? I doubt it.
The Resident Evil 3 remake, like the original upon which it is based, is inferior to its predecessor.
While some spirit has been lost in translation, Resident Evil 3 is superbly paced and one of the better modern Resident Evil games, and a chapter that any horror fan shouldn’t miss.
Resident Evil 3 Remake does a great job of reclaiming the potential the original already had, one of the franchise's most underrated installments. Some extra modes or replayability variety would have been welcome.

While enjoyable and filled with plenty to enjoy, Resident Evil 3 unfortunately feels like an uneven mishmash of horror and action. It wants to do two things at once and while it does them in a passable way, it doesn't always feel like it reaches its full potential especially when following in the footsteps of Resident Evil 2 Remake.
All said, Resident Evil 3 is a brilliant reimagining of the horror classic, with plenty of surprises in store even for the longtime fans. It’s a great partner piece to last year’s Resident Evil 2, helping to reclaim the origins of the series that were once trapped in static environments and blocky characters, lost to consoles past.
Resident Evil 3 is a really enjoyable action horror experience, but it's shortcomings in longevity and replayability are too deep, keeping it away from reaching the status of true masterpiece.

Resident Evil 3 is a superb remake of the original, with Nemesis being the clear highlight. Although inventory management and aiming can be a problem, it's still a fantastic game.
Fans will certainly be happy that the Resident Evil 3 remake exists, and will be excited for a potential Code Veronica followup, but unfortunately this adventure just wasn't as worthy of a revisit.
Just like its predecessor, Resident Evil 3 will go down as one of the best games of 2020.
Like a well-oiled machine, Resident Evil 3 delivers a chaotic burst of action in a short amount of time. Capcom has done an excellent job of bringing the classic into the modern era with tight gameplay, gorgeous visuals, and overhauled character designs.
While the game still stubbornly hangs on to a few of the original’s mechanical shortcomings, the vast majority of the package is a breathtaking recreation of material we fell in love with two decades ago.
