Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1 + 2 Reviews
A great remaster that brings memories to the series fans and it does its best to the classic THPS series, but it might not attracts the new players to this series.

Around six months since Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1 + 2 first graced our screens, Vicarious Visions' reimagining of the famed skateboard series is still as fun, giddy and accessible as it always was.
For those who can forgive the confusing online component, Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1 + 2 stands as another well-crafted and well-realized remake of an old favorite.
As a recreation it highlights how good the original games were for their time. Challenging, original, addictive and damn fun to play.
Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1 + 2 is a one-way ticket to the turn of the millennium. It's a complete, beautiful love letter to not only Tony Hawk himself as an icon but to a time when both the series and the sport of skateboarding itself were most pure and fun. As a bundle, and with the multiplayer providing even more longevity, this game offers unrivalled value.
Overall Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1 + 2 is an excellent experience no matter what system it is played on. The Nintendo Switch version of the game is a little different, with a few limitations on what the game is able to achieve thanks to the hardware, but it remains enjoyable throughout. The Switch port of Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1 + 2 is ideal for the who wants to play in handheld mode on the Switch, but those who will be mostly playing from their couch on a television will want to pick up a different version if possible.
If Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1+2 obviously doesn't look as good as its PlayStation or Xbox counterparts, it's still a fun skateboard experience to take with you anywhere you want.

Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1+2 finally brings back the noise of a beloved franchise, after so many failed attempts. This remaster compile the arcade gameplay and the sillyness of two famous games to deliver a classic but loving experience for every fan of the genre. If only this duo turned into a trio, the party would have been perfect.

Overall, we'd say this is a decent upgrade that makes effective use of PS5's capabilities. However, if you're yet to grab Sony's new machine, the PS4 version will serve you just fine until you do. The loving restoration together with well-chosen news makes Tony Hawk 'Pro Skater 1 + 2 feel exactly like before and completely new at the same time.

Vicarious Visions has produced another excellent remake with Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1 + 2. It brings those PS1 classics to the modern era with a wonderful visual upgrade, rock solid performance, and all the features you'd expect of a game released in 2020. Most importantly, though, it retains the specific feel of the franchise at its best, delivering an addictive, fast-paced, arcade-like experience. Old fans can rest easy knowing that the Tony Hawk games are back on form, while new players can dive into the skateboarding world for the first time. This game is sick, bro.
The only gripe anyone could possibly have about this game is that they personally prefer the narrative driven THUG and THAW games. I probably do too, but in terms of the raw THPS experience, this game has everything you need and more. Warehouse is the best opening level of all time, and you can spend hours in each park figuring out new lines. Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 + 2 Remake is a magnificent game, and while the Nintendo Switch doesn’t offer the definitive version of the game, but it almost does, and that’s good enough for Jamie Thomas.
The legendary skateboarding sim is back in a brilliant rerelease that offers a portal to the past
The new studios pay both respect and homage to the original releases by valuing their clarity above all else.
After falling off the board entirely with Tony Hawk's previous outing, Activision has successfully gone back to the beginning and proven again what once made the series so iconic with Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1 + 2.
Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1 + 2 is an impressive Switch port that make graphical cuts in just the right places. Those cuts ensure a smooth and consistent gameplay experience that sets a new standard for Tony Hawk games on the go.
Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1 + 2 on PS5 and Xbox Series it's same enjoyable skate game, now a little bit better thanks to next gen innovations... but keep in mid that graphically isn't a big jump ahead (it was very good on PS4/One), and it has HDR problems in PS5 and, worst of all, you probably will have to pay again to enjoy it.

Blemishes aside, Activision is doing so much right this time beyond just putting Vicarious Visions in charge. Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1 + 2 isn't going to blow people away, but it preserves the original experience with a few modern conveniences. It's a win.
A fitting remake for two of the best extreme sports games of all-time, Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1 + 2 offers up more than mere nostaglia,
Whether you’re a fan of the originals, or a curious party looking to get into skateboarding games, Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 + 2 is a must play. All the original content, a smooth framerate, portability, loads of in-game customization, and a pinch of new content are a recipe for skateboarding success. Only a lack of create-a-skater options and lack of Spider-Man mar this fun flashback. This is what it’s like when worlds collide.
