Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder's Revenge has its universe amplified with the Shellshock Dimension expansion. The addition of playable characters Usagi Yojimbo and Karai brings new possibilities to combat because of their unique characteristics. Survival mode stands out with unpredictable stages and situations that require more skill and tactics on the part of the players. In addition, creative locations and temporarily controllable bosses bring an air of freshness to games. However, it is easy to see the weight of the expansion's simplicity. While it brings new challenges, Survival mode can eventually fall into the trap of monotony due to the lack of content diversity. Some unlockables and online leaderboards try to make the mode last longer, however only the most competitive players are likely to sustain long-term interest. All in all, Dimension Shellshock is a decent addition to Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder's Revenge and is a great reason to revisit the game.

5 / 10.0 - BANCHOU TACTICS
Aug 30, 2023

Maybe people too fascinated with the [delinquent] context and any tactical game may still enjoy Banchou Tactics a lot. I confess I still had fun at times and my feelings are more along the lines of sadness because the concept is pleasant and could have been used to make a high level game. I hope the next games from the team may offer more polishment and maybe even aim to be more ambitious.

If what you want are more pieces for the board of your campaigns in Total War: WARHAMMER III, Shadows of Change delivers this with flying colors, with new Legendary Lords that fit perfectly into the game map and provide hours of fun both in the Kingdom of Chaos as in Immortal Empires, constantly remembering that the third and definitive title of this crossover is still perfectly addictive. For content that has the word “change” in its name, however, it's worth tempering expectations. More than a revolution, here we have an addition, and the truth is that we've seen better ones since the title's launch.

Much more than a compilation of prototypes, the entire historical archive contained in the timelines of The Making of Karateka is very interesting and I highly recommend it to anyone who likes to know more about the creation of games made in the past. But this title never hides that its value is 100% documentary, which makes it a specific product for a very particular niche of the public.

Despite a few blunders, Agatha Christie - Hercule Poirot: The London Case does an excellent job in offering an interactive story worthy of the books, giving us the chance to once again assume the ever-observant mind of Hercule Poirot.

In the company of a captivating group of heroes, we dive into a spirited adventure full of twists and good times. In addition to having a well-constructed universe, the game enchants with beautiful visuals in pixel art and memorable soundtrack. As an RPG, the title offers a remarkable mix of elements. 9.5 / 10.0 - Turbo Overkill
Aug 28, 2023

By understanding and amplifying what makes classic shooters so fun, Turbo Overkill proves to be a very entertaining and, honestly, essential piece of work for fans of the Boomer Shooter subgenre. Agile and surprising like few titles on the market, Johnny Turbo's journey proves that shoot first and ask questions later still works very well in the world of games. Who wins with this is us, the players.

8 / 10.0 - Affogato
Aug 25, 2023

Affogato subverts the tower defense genre and combines it with elements of management and social interaction to create a unique adventure. Despite some mechanics being underused, the game is a tough, strategic, and fun adventure that is sure to please fans of the genre. Maybe it's not the best option for beginners, but it's worth recommending to anyone looking for a good strategy game.

Rhapsody II: Ballad of the Little Princess is a charming RPG that allows us to go back to the Marl Kingdom and to see this charismatic and fascinating world once more. It's a historical reparation to finally have it available in English and it's a game fans of the [RPG] genre can appreciate if they aren't afraid of being moved by a more feminine universe than the usual [experiences] in the market.

Rhapsody III: Memories of Marl Kingdom is a worthy conclusion to the RHapsody series, tieing up the plot as a gift for the fans. Though the grinding tendency and the episodic format may be bottlenecks for enjoying the game when compared to its predecessors, the experience is worth the wait for fans of fairy tales and RPGs.

Bomb Rush Cyberfunk rescues the past and invites us to dive into a stylish platform adventure. Using skates, skateboards or bicycles, the gameplay stands out with simple commands and many possibilities for combos and exploration through an elaborate metropolis. Furthermore, it's hard not to be impressed by the atmosphere that oozes identity with its vibrant colors and eclectic and urban soundtrack.Inspired by Jet Set Radio, the game modernizes concepts, which results in a vibe that is both modern and retro. However, it makes the mistake of replicating even what was not good at that time, such as the simplicity of some aspects. That so, to take full advantage of it, it is important to be willing to overlook some problems. In the end, Bomb Rush Cyberfunk is an imperfect but sensational exotic mix.

Shotgun King: The Final Checkmate turns chess upside down with its offbeat idea of putting a gun in the hand of a king. Aiming and shooting adds dynamism to matches, and cards with abilities for both armies create unpredictable situations. Even with skill elements, the title maintains the tactical aspect of chess, with coordinated moves by enemy pieces. Despite being creative, the game has numerous problems, such as a steep learning curve, difficulty spikes and randomness so pronounced as to disrupt the tactical elements. There was also a lack of variety, as the runs quickly get repetitive. At least there are several additional modes and difficulties to explore. Simultaneously creative and problematic, Shotgun King: The Final Checkmate is a compelling experience.

10 / 10.0 - Baldur's Gate 3
Aug 23, 2023

Baldur's Gate 3 delivers an adventure with the level of detail you've come to expect from great AAA titles. The way it presents itself, its cutscenes, graphics and facial expressions, all help to compose an epic work that combines complex combat with a rich world and a mission system that puts many current games to shame. Freedom is the word that reigns here: the freedom to create your character, resolve your conflicts, enter your plots, explore the world, relate, fight and survive. How you proceed in the Forgotten Realms is up to you.

6 / 10.0 - Hammerwatch II
Aug 22, 2023

Hammerwatch II has its merits, especially in its elaborate pixel art visuals and the possibility of online group play. However, the limitations present in the progression of the story, the ineffective navigation and the complexity of the economy can hinder the pleasure of the game. The online experience also brings challenges with its specific rules, but it's important to be aware of the potential frustrations that can arise due to the less polished aspects of the gameplay. An experience with a mix of ups and downs, where the visuals and the captivating atmosphere can fight against the limitations that can make the journey less attractive.

8.5 / 10.0 - Ride 5
Aug 21, 2023

Although quite demanding in many aspects, Ride 5 is a good choice for everyone, motorbike lovers or not. With a huge variety of customizations, tracks and vehicles to choose from, all game modes become fun: career, championships and multiplayer, including online and local options. In addition, the game has good production and competent performance, great for racing on two wheels.

Don't be fooled by the childish idea of Marble It Up! Ultra: here we have a highly competitive and demanding game, but without ceasing to be fun and accessible. Controlling a marble in the middle of platforms, ramps, precipices, bridges, tunnels and many other obstacles is surprisingly pleasant and addictive. Something else was missing for the game to be really amazing, not to mention the disappointing lack of local multiplayer modes, but even so, the title is a great choice for your library.

9 / 10.0 - Blasphemous 2
Aug 17, 2023

Blasphemous 2 is an intense and haunting pilgrimage through a disturbing universe. The metroidvania sequel offers an adventure filled with brutal confrontations and immersive exploration in a more refined experience. The multiple weapons bring variety to the encounters, the elaborate maps have interesting platforming challenges and the world is inviting with its many secrets. As a continuation, the game dares little and introduces practically no significant novelties. However, practically every aspect has been improved: the challenge is better balanced, there are many customization options, and the atmosphere is richly crafted. Engaging and awe-inspiring, Blasphemous 2 is a spectacular metroidvania not to be missed.

Ninja or Die: Shadow of the Sun uses an uncommon mechanic to create a unique action platformer. However, some exploration moments are frustrating for requiring precision in short platforms and areas with excessive elements causing visual pollution. The combat, on the other hand, is fast and fun, creating many intense moments. For those looking for something different within the roguelite genre, it's worth the recommendation.

6.5 / 10.0 - Quantum: Recharged
Aug 17, 2023

Atari's idea of reformulating its works always oscillates between novelty and repetition. Unfortunately, Quantum: Recharged was more on repeat, serving only those who want to enjoy the nostalgia. The game itself is not bad, but it certainly falls short of its other renovated brothers.

Shadow Gambit: The Cursed Crew, by bringing together cohesive gameplay, an exceptional narrative and a level of challenge that allows for customization, provides yet another brilliant experience in the stealth strategy genre scene. It further solidifies Mimimi Games' status as a producer of outstanding and rewarding experiences in the stealth strategy genre. In a market perhaps not as vast, the company continues to captivate aficionados and newcomers alike, like a skilled privateer conquering new territories. A well-deserved toast, whether with rum or a glass of admiration, to this impressive title.
