Mr. Sun’s Hatbox takes advantage of good humor to give life to a structure that tends to be repetitive. The wide variety of items and particularities, in addition to making each game unique, amuse and create unusual situations that make it an excellent title. Despite the minor issues, it's a game worth keeping an eye on.

The Aurogon Shanghai studio definitely created Afterimage as a work made of a lot of effort and beauty. The intention to produce such a vast and dense metroidvania doesn't always contribute to the game as a whole but it delivers a ton of content to explore, admire and face. Curious players will be rewarded with many discoveries in impressive sceneries, but those who are bothered by backtracking and a lack of direction may be frustrated by the big distances between the spots of Engardin.

Despite its simplicity in many ways and its sounding a little confusing or overly wacky, Moon: Remix RPG Adventure is perhaps one of the most unique and interesting games ever made with gameplay and storytelling that have not only aged well but continue to exhibit a very current and relevant critical design.

Despite its specific issues, it's possible to consider GrimGrimoire OnceMore a very capable representative of its genre, but, even so, it's hardly inviting for the general public. Even so, this is a respectable entry in Vanillaware's catalogue.

Whether you're an inveterate Final Fantasy fan, a curious newcomer to the world of Japanese RPGs or even interested in the history of video games, add Pixel Remaster to your collection or wish list; here are very important chapters of a fantasy that deserve to be experienced — and it's great that we can do this on new platforms, whether for the first or the thousandth time.

Monster Energy Supercross - The Official Videogame 6 simply cares about improving the experience of being in an intense race, and it has achieved it with flying colors. However, basically having the same thing in terms of content can end up leaving that impression of more of the same, which fatally ends up affecting sports games.

Horizon Forbidden West: Burning Shores is a competent DLC that adds subtle improvements to one of the most fantastic adventures of recent times in video games. Despite not adding much in terms of history, the new region still yields good hours of gameplay for those who like to venture into the post-apocalyptic world of Guerilla Games.

Dungeon Drafters merges good ideas into a remarkable deck-building roguelike. Tactical combat is its biggest highlight because of the countless possibilities, combos and synergies provided by the magic cards. Besides that, each dungeon has a different rhythm with its different enemies and traps, which adds variety to the runs. The challenge is high, with constant defeat. This is part of the game cycle, as the intent is to learn from mistakes, make adjustments, and try again. However, some negative points hinder the experience, such as unintuitive terms and interface, little room for errors and an overall somewhat slow pace. In the end, it's worth taking on the creative tactical challenges of Dungeon Drafters. You just need to be willing to dedicate yourself to move forward.

I really wanted to have a positive experience with Troublemaker. You can see that the developers had their hearts in place. There was also ambition, which is good for creativity. However, none of this is enough if you lack the technical capacity to execute your ideas properly.

Cassette Beasts is clearly inspired by Pokémon and takes advantage of a popular concept to create something unique. Its combat system combining interactions between types, fusions and point consumption, along with its fun and sinister story, makes it a unique game and much deeper than it initially appears. Its problems can be fixed in the future, especially those related to movement. Therefore, it is impossible not to recommend the title, especially for fans of pocket monsters.

Short but well-paced, Nuclear Blaze focuses on the urgency of the fire to create an intense experience. The game benefits from the great use of effects to enrich the simple pixel art and add to an atmosphere of mystery that, even if it's not deep or surprising, gives fuel to keep the flame burning bright for as long as it lasts. The heat gets intense in Hold My Glass mode and it can be frustrating, but the difficulty adjustments make the game accessible to any audience, even very young children, who can also enjoy the Kids Mode, designed especially for them.

Trinity Trigger is an action RPG whose combat offers good malleability and a decent amount of content. Unfortunately, the generic narrative and the bad allies AI oare considerably negative factors for the experience and, together with some polishing details, leave the game short of what it could offer. Still, those who really like the genre will probably know how to appreciate the journey.

Arcana of Paradise —The Tower— bets on dynamism to offer a roguelike deckbuilding like no other. Real-time combats are frantic and interesting, requiring strategy and dexterity to win. Furthermore, the numerous situations scattered throughout the adventure have curious puzzle elements, forcing us to think carefully in order to advance. The mechanics are inventive, but the content is reduced: enemies and events are repeated frequently, and the strategic possibilities are limited. Because of this, runs become repetitive quickly, compromising the mid-term experience. Despite the problems, the mysteries of Arcana of Paradise are worth exploring, even if briefly.

Dead Island 2 is a wild, frantic and fun experience. The game focuses on what makes us love video games: the feeling of adventure and uncompromised fun. In the midst of so many great works, with perfect scripts, cutscenes that look like cinema, Dead Island 2 just wants you to take control, crush some skulls, rip off some limbs and have a fun and exciting game, without compromising to explore new areas for the franchise, playing the role that a reboot would have in modern cinema, reintroducing old elements and presenting it to new audiences. Indeed, a pleasant surprise this year.

I can't say God of Rock did a mistake in its choice of elements but this is a clear case where less is more. The good ideas and features from fighting games were smart picks, but the mayhem of things on screen turn what could have been a beautiful melody into a messy thread of mismatched notes.

Wild Dogs may have been created with the intention to be a retro run and gun, but the combination of the elements it brought made it something bigger. It's a recommendation I'd do in a heartbeat to people who want to get a taste of the genre or those who are already veterans. Your desire for action and nostalgia with a good challenge will be fulfilled.

OTXO is a good choice for anyone who enjoys straightforward action without elaborate stories or very complex mechanics. Even without bringing anything new to the roguelite genre, the simple but still challenging gameplay is the main highlight of this indie title that uses and abuses action to provide an almost cinematic shooting experience.

With considerably better storytelling than its predecessor, Coffee Talk Episode 2: Hibiscus & Butterfly manages to go beyond the comfortable experience of serving hot drinks to strangers. Both new characters and old acquaintances present interesting stories that reveal a very exciting world of modern fantasy and form a true family with their bonds. An easy recommendation for anyone looking for a good everyday gaming experience.

The Mageseeker: A League of Legends Story is a great invitation for those who want to know more or simply start their journey through the rich mythological world of Runeterra. With satisfying and exciting combat, this aspect is a good draw for anyone who enjoys action games. It's not formidable, but it shows the quality of Riot Forge's ability to create experiences with different approaches using League of Legends intellectual property.

Cannon Dancer is another cool port of a title that could have been left behind for only illegal emulators and awful translations but it got the deserved highlight for current consoles. Its responsive gameplay is sharp and the difficulty level leaves nothing to be desired for fans of a good challenge.
