Rocket League Reviews
Rocket League is simply a joy to play, win or lose. And with friends? Wow. This is the most fun you'll ever have behind the wheel of a rocket powered football playing car.
At its core Rocket League is gameplay perfected and with a suite of multiplayer options, the game will see life for many months to come.
Rocket League represents a simple idea well executed, forgoing variables like powerups and dramatically different vehicles or maps in favour of balance and tight mechanics.
Rocket League has an extremely addictive quality that makes it hard to put down. 'Just five more minutes' usually turns into a few hours, and as a result Rocket League is a title that you don't want to miss.
Rocket League is a fun and addicting battle cars sports game with lots of intensity and great core mechanics that proves to be a great sports video game of 2015. Overall, Rocket League is a fun and addicting sports game and a great eSports title addition. The game's optimization is very impressive, core mechanics are easy to learn and to get by, and the stunning graphics which overlooks the lack of LAN feature and still makes this game a great candidate for Best Sports Game of 2015.
Rocket League might be my favourite multiplayer game in years.
Easy to learn and fun to play, Rocket League is an example of how to make multiplayer gaming appeal to more than just the casual crowd.
Rocket League has that 'one more match' appeal that every multiplayer game dreams of
It's car football, but not as we know it, as Psyonix's exhilarating mix of chaos and control marks it as one of the year's best multiplayer experiences.
Rocket League is not only worth your money because it costs a third of what most other games cost, it's worth your money because you can't get the same kind of experience anywhere else.
One of the purest, most exciting multiplayer experiences
Rocket League is so easy to pick up and so hard to put down. Within just a few hours of play, I already feel myself wanting to go back and play more. The game has spread like wildfire and is one of the most popular games this year, yet I had never even heard about it before the game released. After three closed betas from the developers and fine-tuning, what's left is a competitive, fantastic experience.
For the price, Rocket League is a no-brainer. Some of the best fun of the year comes in the form of a radio-controlled car soccer mash-up, springing to life in local multiplayer, but with online options crammed in for good measure. It earns its place as a great little Easter egg arcade title for the PlayStation 4, and should go on to see many years of action.
Psyonix's rocket-powered battle cars soccer hybrid is an insanely fun and surprisingly deep sports game, and is my game of the year.
Rocket League is an extremely well designed and presented game, a veritable feast for the senses at times, and an undeniably addictive experience. It blends sports and styles but it also solidifies this bizarre hybrid into a streamlined, hugely appealing presentation. The AI falls a little shy and the single-player fun can't hold a candle to the multiplayer entertainment but besides that, it's hard to find fault.
Rocket League offers fantastic, over-the-top fun that anyone can enjoy, yet it's also nuanced enough to be a highly competitive game.
Rocket League is one of those rare sports games that serves both the casual and hardcore crowds really well in ways that we see out of games like NFL Blitz, NBA Jam, Tecmo Super Bowl, NHL 94, and others with the surprising thing here being that Rocket League isn’t based on an already established sport.
"Rocket League" for Xbox One introduces a new audience to one of the biggest gaming phenomenons of last year. The inclusion of several sweet exclusives makes for an attractive package. With no significant dips in quality or offerings other than a couple fewer servers, this is the best $19.99 one can spend on the Xbox One's online store. If you're an Xbox One owner, prepare for that backlog to grow. Playing something else over "Rocket League" is never an easy task.
One of the best multiplayer games available today. Rocket League is a fantastically fun, frenetic game and you'd be hard pushed to find a better arcade-style football game anywhere else.
Rocket League takes simple game mechanics and turns them into a tight, engaging experience that will have you coming back for hours upon hours of gaming fun. Everything that worked in the PS4 and PC versions works just as well on Xbox One, with only some slight technical limitations holding it back. Overall though, this is the same sports gaming masterpiece that it was last year, and is worthy of joining any Xbox One owner's library.
