Mortal Kombat 11 Ultimate on PS5 is a perfect version of a magnificent fighter. The new characters are a great addition to the already beefed-up roster, and the visuals are top notch.

As time goes on, the deal gets sweeter and it’s great for people just starting out with MK11. If you already own it, the asking price for Kombat Pack 2 is fairly reasonable for the three new characters, so there’s no real losers here. Well, unless you are taking a Fatality, that is. But still, as a full package, MK11 Ultimate is the ultimate version of this game and is definitely worth your time.

Constant improvements make this a solid, content-packed, spectacular game. If you bought previous DLCs along the months, you might not see a huge improvement, but if this is your first MK 11 experience, get ready for a blast. A great way to start fighting in the new generation of consoles.

Filled with an abundance of content across the two Kombat Packs and Aftermath expansion on top of the base game itself, Mortal Kombat 11 Ultimate is the best way to experience what was already arguably the finest that the long running series has to offer.

Obviously, if you already own MK11 in some form, going for this Ultimate version is a bit redundant. I would suggest getting everything you wanted piecemeal through your respective online store, but if you haven’t picked up this game yet or have just got yourself a shiny new system and are looking for a great looking, great playing fighting game, you just found it here. I highly suggest this title to any fighting game fan.

While I’m eagerly anticipating the next installment in the Mortal Kombat franchise and Injustice sequel, MK 11 Ultimate Edition is a great void filler to close out this generation of consoles that will be playable whenever I upgrade to the Xbox Series X.

Mortal Kombat 11 Ultimate Edition is quite clearly a means of selling the same game to those that have (for whatever reason) not yet taken the gore-filled plunge into NetherRealm's latest fight title. Despite this, the entire package remains a forward-thinking and user-friendly initiative. Essentially, this is a free rebranding that offers an optimized experience (and the option to then purchase the three new fighters) that doesn't force consumers to re-buy the entire game again. Publisher WB Games deserves kudos for applying a much more consumer-friendly, piecemealed rendition of the Street Fighter iterative formula to Mortal Kombat, with a complete package that screams "get over here" to those that have yet to dive in.

Despite a convoluted story filled with silly retcons and nonsense, it's still fun to play through to see the (for now) official ending to the original Mortal Kombat story. With 12 additional characters and tons of skins, Mortal Kombat 11 Ultimate is absolutely worth a buy for those who have yet to check out MK11. The new characters are still great additions to the roster for those who have experienced all the content since the beginning.

Mortal Kombat 11's Ultimate Edition is NetherRealm's finest hour polished up further for a new console generation. Packed with content, further refined, and open to a wider audience than ever before, Mortal Kombat 11 is still a violent masterpiece that draws first blood with its new roster additions.

Mortal Kombat 11 Ultimate is the definitive edition to own if you don't already own the game and post-launch content. However, running off a PS5, the improved load times and graphical enhancements are amazing and necessary. It's a highly optimized game that feels like it was made for the new generation of consoles. The ability to launch within seconds from the main menu into a match is a technical marvel of itself. It's definitely the Mortal Kombat 11 version to purchase if you want to own all the post-launch content from the get-go.

Mortal Kombat 11 Ultimate offers everything that MK11 gave up plus all of the DLC plus a few new characters. It's perfect for those who played the original and want to continue their experience on a next-gen console but even better for those who only played the base game or haven't played it yet at all!

I have had some friends lament some frustration over how monetized MK11 is, and I absolutely see where they’re coming from. It’s not a business practice I like to see because we’re used to games having a final, all inclusive edition released and we just don’t have that with MK11. Maybe we’ll see a Komplete Edition like there was with MK9. Regardless, you can’t really go wrong with MK11U if you’re looking for a superb fighting game on current or next-gen.

With the inclusion of the season pass characters such as Rambo and Rain, in addition to the added Aftermath campaign, Mortal Kombat 11 Ultimate is deserving of its moniker and a worthy upgrade over its initial release.

Overall I'm thrilled with the game, there are settings that make it easy to just pick up and have an easy fight… or you can ramp up the difficulty and really challenge yourself to become the best fighter you can. Highly recommended for old fans and new fans alike!

Still, back on point, if you haven’t already invested in Mortal Kombat 11, this Ultimate edition is a steal. For the price of the base game just over a year and a half ago you get the full package, which includes two great story campaigns, 37 customisable fighters and a whole lot more. Its combat might not be as fluid or enjoyable in action as the latest Street Fighter or Tekken, but it makes up for it elsewhere. As fighting games go, none are more generous than Mortal Kombat 11 Ultimate, especially when it comes to single-player content. None are gorier, either.

Mortal Kombat 11 Ultimate is a content-packed production. Don't want to buy new warriors? Check out mk11 on the next-gen to experience more brutal scenes. This title looks great.

It doesn’t matter how much extra content you add if the base game’s issues haven’t been addressed. When you strip all of the bells and whistles off of Mortal Kombat 11 Ultimate Edition, you are still left with a painfully mediocre fighting game with a horrendous monetization system. Sure the fighting may be fun in short bursts, and the gore factor may be fun eye candy, but this game felt as though it didn’t have any care put into it outside of the basic fighting controls.

Mortal Kombat 11 Ultimate is a fantastic collection and the definitive way to experience this title, particularly on the new consoles where it runs smoother (and is far gorier) than ever. Even on older hardware it still shines. While day one players who have already accrued the majority of the included content will have less incentive to splash the cash on the Ultimate edition, it stands as an impressive catalogue to the achievements of NetherRealm over the past year and a half. If you haven't played it yet, now is the best time to dive in. If you have, here above are all your reasons to dial back into the experience.
