Scott Pilgrim vs The World: The Game Complete Edition Reviews
Scott Pilgrim vs The World: The Game – Complete Edition is a good remaster of a solid title. Though it doesn’t iron out some core issues with the original game, there’s still plenty of fun to be had here, especially if you’ve got some friends to join you for the ride.
A love letter to the golden age of beat 'em ups that Nintendo and Sega ruled, Scott Pilgrim vs. The World: The Game Complete Edition isn't without its flaws and it has an entry curve more punishing than starting a band during your midlife crisis, but its still a terrific jump back in time that breathes new life into a cult classic.
Scott Pilgrim vs. The World: The Game - Complete Edition brings together everything that was lost all those years ago to dreaded licensing issues to remind us of why we missed it so much. It's a fun and quirky beat-em-up, though the lack of online in all the modes offered feels like a bit of a missed opportunity.
Scott Pilgrim vs. The World: The Game made good on the promise that movie tie-in games usually failed to keep, and the Complete Edition proves that virtually the entire package is just as enjoyable over a decade later.
While its early difficulty may deter some people, Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World: The Game's complexity and how it opens up makes for a highly enjoyable experience. It's felt like an eternity since we've seen this title on our Xbox systems, and having a Complete Edition with touched up visuals and all previously released content is an absolute treat. Whether you're a fan of the series or a newcomer to the genre, there's something here to enjoy, and it's a reminder of why so many fell in love with the original game all those years ago.
A fine beat 'em up which didn't lose its charm and still has the same issues as it did ten years ago. It's unfortunate that the gameplay hasn't changed at all but the game is still pretty good.

I am glad that I missed out on Scott Pilgrim the first time around because I don’t know if I would have appreciated it as much then, as I do now. Beat ’em up’s are generally not the type of games I enjoy, however Scott Pilgrim vs The World: The Game has probably changed my mind. I am motivated to play more games in this genre.
Scott Pilgrim is back and the game still feels fresh and fun.

Scott Pilgrim vs. The World: The Game Complete Edition manages to give the players a good "beat 'em up" experience. It has good pixel art graphics and excellent chiptune music that are entirely suitable for this genre. There are some online Co-op problems, and some of the overall designs may feel old, but all and all, it is an enjoyable "beat 'em up."

If you missed the DLC in the original release, it’s a nice thing to check out on a return trip. Knives Chau and Wallace Wells both feel like they’re not for newbies, which makes sense. And hey, maybe a new platform will let you coax friends and family into playing your fun game with you?
If you’re fresh off the likes of Streets of Rage 4 or River City Girls, I feel like this stands next to them pretty handily. Couch multiplayer fans will feel comfortable enough taking in the short runtime, even with a few rough edges. Certain elements here ultimately amount to nitpicks, but the total package still holds up today.
Ubisoft's charming side-scrolling beat 'em up finally comes to modern consoles, in a complete definitive edition that doesn't add new content or improve the original game, but still delivers one of the best modern games in the genre, with great gameplay and a killer soundtrack

At the end of the day, it’s just nice to see things like this happen.
Beat 'em ups were flatlining when Scott Pilgrim was originally released. A decade later the genre is in rude health, but it's a testament to the game's quality that it still stands tall as one of the better examples. Fans may be disappointed, however, that practically nothing has been added to the game after all this time.
Scott Pilgrim is a game that focuses on the transcendence of art and excellence in its narrative.
Scott Pilgrim Complete Edition is the definitive version of the beloved game that debuted two generations ago. This time, online multiplayer further enhances the fun as players can bring in three buddies to bash baddies and get the girl!
If you're a fan of the character or of beat 'em ups and pop culture in general that didn't have a chance to try this title, this is your second chance that must not be wasted.
