Monster Hunter Rise Reviews
Monster Hunter Rise is an absolute joy to play on the PlayStation 5, with the addictive gameplay loop and visual enhancements making it essential for fans of the series. It’s newbie friendly thanks to its more streamlined approach, whilst some of the new additions ensure the experience will remain fresh for long-time series veterans. Whether you’re looking for a story-driven single player experience, some fleshed out co-op action with friends, or simply a wonderful world to explore that’s full of incredible yet vicious creatures, Monster Hunter Rise has it all.
The new generation port of Monster Hunter Rise is clearly below expectations. In addition to not offering all the content, the improvements are few. The title clearly suffers from its initial release on Switch and it would have been interesting if Capcom had offered a more accomplished version after several years of waiting. Nevertheless, fans of the franchise will find the usual sensations and the encounter of several iconic monsters of the series. It is also possible to play in cooperation with up to 4 players. It should be noted that no cross-platform system has been integrated and you are limited to your friends who are on the same platform. Without much surprise, this PS5 version does not really bring an advantage compared to previous releases despite some successful lighting effects.

Monster Hunter Rise is a breath of fresh air that elevates the series with its faster traversal, improved combat, and added depth. It looks and runs exceptionally well on modern consoles and is a delight to spend hundreds of hours in.
It makes numerous improvements in how it onboards new players, adds layers to its core combat loop that are difficult to imagine going without now, and does so while staying true to what makes the series so special.
I came into Monster Hunter Rise with a little bit of hesitation, as I was never really into this series of games. The learning curve is high, and the controls felt unintuitive when I tried out World back in the day. Fortunately, Capcom has made Rise the most accessible entry to date, with in-depth tutorials and a well-paced ramp up of mechanics. All the while, it retains an extensive experience for veteran players to dive deep into and enjoy for countless hours. With fast loading times, an impressive 120 fps mode, and added immersive features, Monster Hunter Rise on PlayStation 5 is a must-play for any fans of the franchise and newcomers looking to get into the hobby of hunting monsters.
Overall, Monster Hunter Rise is another entry in the long-running series that does not disappoint. The core loop is as addictive as ever, and you'll find yourself grinding your way toward victory with improved visuals, buttery smooth frame rates, and the bells and whistles that come with the current-gen consoles. The only real fault with this release is that the Sunbreak expansion is not included. Add to the fact that crossplay and cross-progression are also not available, it does get the necessary minus points. Still, Monster Hunter Rise is a fantastic title that's made even better thanks to the improved hardware.
Monster Hunter Rise is a true exponent of everything the franchise has presented over almost two decades of existence. With subtle improvements in gameplay, the game's arrival on more platforms could make this the greatest of all games in the series ever released in Capcom's history.

There’s plenty to offer that makes the gameplay loop addicting: tons of weapons to craft, a balanced difficulty curve, and an amazing soundtrack.
Monster Hunter Rise benefits from a tighter focus and massive quality-of-life improvements over its predecessors. The performance is excellent, and your hunts are more enjoyable than ever. With it releasing day one on Game Pass it’s a world worth visiting by yourself or with some buddies.
If you've never tried a Monster Hunter game before, Rise is the right choice to get you started. If you can overlook minor bugs, and the game will reward you with tens of hours of high-quality fun.

Monster Hunter Rise is an awesome new entry for both die-hard fans and beginners. The newly-released PC version packs in all the extra content from the Nintendo Switch release whilst adding in uncapped framerates, 4K resolution, HDR and more, making it the ideal way to play. No matter which platform you choose though, Monster Hunter Rise will devour your social calendar.
If you are a Monster Hunter veteran, I see no reason why you won't love Monster Hunter Rise. The game is basically a refined version of Monster Hunter World with some new gimmicks and a new aesthetic. For those looking to jump into Monster Hunter for the first time, Monster Hunter Rise is still a lot of fun. You won't necessarily understand everything right out of the gate, but you likely will over time as you hunt more and more monsters. All in all, this is a strong action RPG for the Nintendo Switch and has the potential to eat up tons of your time.
Monster Hunter Rise is also confirmed on PC, with a technically flawless port. The game, after almost a year, still remains a top point within the saga, thanks to a gameplay full of content, heterogeneous and suitable for those looking for a demanding challenge that can however keep different rhythms depending on their needs.

Monster Hunter Rise continues to push the envelope by adding a level of dynamic movement never before seen in the series.
Living up to its name, Monster Hunter Rise elevates the long-lived Capcom franchise to new heights. Though its fundaments didn't suffer drastic alterations when compared to previous titles in the genre, the new additions such as Wirebugs and the Palamutes make it the fastest and most enjoyable Monster Hunter so far. The adaptation to PCs only further highlights the general quality of one of the best RPGs of the last few years. A must-have.
