Gunborg: Dark Matters Reviews
Mere hours after beating the game for the Gunborg: Dark Matters review, most of it went in one ear and out the other. In the grand ocean of brutally difficult indie action games, there is not a lot to distinguish this one from its contemporaries.
While its core gameplay loop is strong, Gunborg: Dark Matters doesn’t do a lot to set itself apart in a crowded field. You can definitely have fun for a few hours, but before you know it, you’ll be getting off this ship with your cargo in tow. Still, while it lasts, Gunborg provides a great looking, excellent sounding, adventure that plays pretty well to boot.
Gunborg: Dark Matters is a challenging 2D action game. It is fun and at the same time frustrating for its difficulty. However, the biggest complaint is about the buttons on the triggers: playing a 2D platform title with many functions on the L and R buttons can be very annoying.

Gunborg: Dark Matters is in many ways a fun game not only for those who have already fallen in love with platformers but also for those who are new to this genre. In many, it’s a fun yet extremely challenging side scroller whose only shortcoming appears to be the very short story and the weird control system that takes some time to get used to.
Thanks to a neon-soaked art style, pumping synthwave soundtrack and challenging gameplay, Gunborg: Dark Matters is a fun and hard-hitting throwback to arcade shooters and the 80s.
Gunborg: Dark Matters is a space action-packed arcade platformer that offers an experience dominated by strategy, skill and reflexes.

The brutal challenge of Gunborg: Dark Matters matches its tight and intuitive gameplay beautifully to thoroughly test anyone's mettle.
If you're fine with the game's length, Gunborg: Dark Matters delivers the kind of tough, skill-based experience that is currently en vogue. The various tools in your arsenal are enough to get high combos and more powerful attacks, while the controls give you enough precision to make tricky jumps and dance around your enemies. The level design gives you plenty of chances to put those skills to the test, while the high difficulty level feels fair but makes even the easiest difficulty level feel like anything but a cakewalk. If you don't frustrate easily, give Gunborg a try.
Gunborg: Dark Matter is a short and sweet action platformer that is sure to test you. The 80’s synthwave soundtrack mixed with the neon colors makes the presentation very attractive while the gameplay is super smooth and fun to control. It won’t last you but a few hours but if you don’t mind that then you’ll have a lot of fun in that short time.
If you are looking for a well thought out, challenging action platformer, Gunborg: Dark Matters has got all the ingredients needed to make it a success. It is hard but fair, and this is a balancing act that is tricky to get right.
Gunborg: Dark Matters is a relatively short game, but it is packed with challenge and fast-paced action throughout. I like that you have to keep cycling through weapons as they drop to meet challenges ahead, and how satisfying it is to finally get through a stage. If you want an action platformer that will offer you a tough but rewarding experience then Gunborg: Dark Matters is for you.
More budget-friendly titles are almost always a challenge to know how to score against their more full-priced brethren...
Gunborg: Dark Matters suffers from the absence of a detailed story, which notably makes its campaign less enticing. However, this is far from harming the high quality of its gameplay. With complex controls, a luxurious aesthetic and many creative challenges, we can very well say that this shooter offers fun from another galaxy.

The only issue I had with Gunborg was the games length, being able to be cleared in just over 2 hours; just when I felt like everything was coming together and all the systems clicked the game ended.
Gunborg: Dark Matters excels with engaging gameplay, approachable difficulty buildup, and a wonderful visual style. The game is unfortunately all too brief and doesn't get the kind of time it deserves to truly bloom. Equally so, Gunborg places itself well high in the chaff of the side-scrolling genre, even though it doesn't quite reach the same full excellence as the greats.
Gunborg: Dark Matters is a fantastic twin stick platformer, with a ton of variety and frantic twitchy action.
Gunborg: Dark Matters is a really good action platformer. It’s beautiful to look at, sounds amazing, and can be quite challenging on Hardcore difficulty. Yeah, I recommend giving this game a try.
