Like an interactive movie based on Norse mythology, God of War Ragnarok is an epic experience that has to be experienced.

God of War: Ragnarok on PC is yet another confirmation that expertly crafted ports are still possible, despite everything. Stunning graphics (though you'll need a good PC to handle all that visual splendor), gameplay as sharp as Kratos' blades, and a gripping narrative that won't let you go. Sure, there was the risk of relying on past success and resting on its laurels. It doesn't revolutionize, nor does it need to: it perfects what already worked on the PlayStation platform, with a confidence that few titles manage to maintain. And that's perfectly fine.

The game experience of God of War: Ragnarök is very uneven. The title features battles where main bosses serve as damage sponges, the plot that whiplashes between soul-searching and brutality, the world that is empty in some corners and over-saturated with puzzles in others. At the same time, it is a huge, well-crafted title with good overall story and character development. The complete absence of bugs and the game’s technical performance is more than impressive.

Santa Monica Studio continues to produce excellent and masterful experiences with Kratos, and the door is most certainly open for more.

Ragnarök’s fantastic narrative and enjoyable characters ensure that it isn’t getting out of here without a recommendation, but its gameplay shortcomings mean that it ultimately falls short of some of its loftier ambitions.

The quality of God of War: Ragnarok exceeds expectations. If you are looking forward to a sequel that is fully enhanced on the basis of God of War, then Ragnarok is definitely the game you want. Its gaming experience is completely an enjoyment.

God of War Ragnarök is a worthy continuation of (and conclusion to) 2018's God of War, building on that already strong foundation to deliver an experience deserving of a spot in gaming's pantheon. New tools and greater enemy variety elevate combat, and the expanded environments and cast give this sequel the epic scope its story demands. But the beating heart of the game remains its characters, and Ragnarök delivers an immensely satisfying next chapter for just about everyone-Kratos and Atreus, returning friends, and new faces alike.

God of War: Ragnarok is a highly polished and incredibly produced but predictable entry into the series. A worthy continuation of the reboot, this is another must-play Sony title that continues to define the development style of first party studios.

Ragnarök chooses iteration over innovation, but continues to operate in a league of its own in terms of its nuanced gameplay and otherworldly technical execution. This is the new posterchild for what the PS5 is capable of, and the passionate product of a development outfit that can seemingly do no wrong.

We wanted to experience a different saga, and God of War Ragnarök feels like the expansion of one we’ve already heard around the hearth, seen in a beautiful tapestry and heard on the high seas venturing towards more loot. Though it’s still a very, very good saga. One worthy of the Edda.

God of War: Ragnarok is a strong follow-up to a modern masterpiece, but does it sacrifice depth for breadth?

It isn't perfect, but God of War: Ragnarok remains a very good adventure game. The main story might meander for a good chunk of time, but the tale in the DLC makes up for that nicely. The action remains solid from beginning to end, and the usual additions made to the PC version and the disabling of hints almost makes up for the questionable decision to make a PSN login mandatory. If that last part isn't a deal-breaker, then you'll have a great time with Ragnarok on the PC.

Even though it doesn't bring significant graphical improvements over the PS5 version and takes up a colossal space on your hard drive, God of War Ragnarok on PC is a good port that has great image quality and decent performance.

The base of the PC port is good, there is good performance, although there are more various minor problems in various areas. Basically, if you enjoyed the first game with Kratos and want more from this world, don't miss the second one.
