God of War Ragnarök Reviews
Few games released in 2022, or any year for that matter, are as well designed and made as God of War Ragnarök. While it doesn’t completely move beyond its predecessor, it eventually offers enough fresh content to stand apart, and additional variety helps make it the stronger game of the two, even if it’s perhaps a bit less focused. A beautifully told story that carries the themes of the prior game while allowing Atreus to stand on his own kept my interest until the very end. If you didn’t care for 2018’s God of War, then Ragnarök won’t change your mind, but everyone else should absolutely check it out.
God of War Ragnarok doesn't reinvent the series, but it didn't need to, what we got is a masterful improvement on the previous game, with an engaging story and a more fluid combat that I wholeheartedly recommend to every fan.

God of War Ragnarök is magnificent. A true sequel that surpasses almost everything that the previous game had and more. It's grand story does not sacrifice any form of character development or subtlety and in fact somehow manages to enhance it. The fast and frenetic combat leaves you wanting more and every boss fight main story or otherwise leaves you on the edge of your seat.
God of War Ragnarök is a new demonstration of the might of Sony's internal teams. An epic, colossal sequel, but also sensitive and intimate, which not only improves on its predecessor in each and every one of the sections, but also saves its own cards to surprise the player at each new step.

An incredible adventure from beginning to end, God of War Ragnarok is epic in scale and nuanced in character. Its combat and gameplay haven’t changed much but why fix almost peerless systems? Ragnarök is an absolute must-play on the PS5 and a worthy contender for Game of the Year.
God of War Ragnarök is a masterpiece in every sense of the word. It’s visually enchanting, has world-class acting, is complete with a scintillating musical score, and pacing that puts it head and shoulders above everything else in the AAA space. This isn’t just the best God of War game ever made, it’s a generation-defining title that makes the best of PlayStation 5 and leads the line in terms of accessibility, care, attention to detail and quality. If you’ve been waiting for the game to justify your journey into the next generation, this is it!
God of War Ragnarök is a mighty sequel that excels its predecessor in nearly every regard. Only the graphics are a bit disappointing on PS5.

God of War Ragnarök is essentially a masterpiece, and it’s no wonder this has taken the gaming world by storm. You will be left scratching your head as to how they’ve managed to take a great predecessor, drastically improve it and forming into a flawless sequel. Having to wait a long four years was dragging, but with the game’s outstanding execution and delivery, patience was indeed a virtue.
The epic conclusion of the Norse God of War saga fulfills all the expectations we have had and more. Santa Monica Studio has made a hot candidate for the game of the year, even though the Fimbulwinter is ice cold.

God of War Ragnarok is a massive refining of what was achieved back in 2018. Engaging gameplay, a wide variety of stunning worlds to explore, and some of the best storytelling in gaming make this experience a must for anyone.
God of War Ragnarok is a prime example of how to continue a franchise and is yet again a contender for game of the year for me. Sony Santa Monica has done an outstanding job at delivering an incredible sequel with a great story, unforgettable characters, amazing visuals, and combat that I couldn’t get enough of.
God of War Ragnarok delivers a remarkable continuation from 2018 in a narrative that centers itself on dynamics of family and relationships alongside the growth you witness as time goes on.
God Of War: Ragnarök then has some hefty God-sized shoes to fill and thankfully it not only lives up to the expectations of its predecessor - it exceeds them. Ragnarök is a bigger game, not just in size and scope, but in the ambitions of its story and the goals of its narrative. This is a story about cycles of revenge, prophecy and fighting fate, being allowed to make mistakes and of course - parenthood.
The game’s core design lacked innovation compared to the prequel and the story also suffered from lack of creativity. While the game experience was well-coordinated and wholesome in the last time, everything in this Ragnarok seemed to be a series of soulless modules aligned. If the developers’ aim were to safely deliver experience of the prior success, there would have been other ways to deliver in a better, fresh manner. Sadly, the game was insufficient to be felt as a new representation; rather it felt like a DLC of the previous title instead.

Sony's latest God of War game is Ragna-rock solid. It outdoes the previous game in every way, from expanded gameplay to exciting new realms to explore to a banger of a story to new characters to meet and play as. Graphically, it's a stone cold stunner with pristine 4K visuals, plus DualSense integrations that add tremendously to the immersion. With dozens of hours of side content, on top of the lengthy main campaign, this is among the most content-rich games of the entire year.
God of War Ragnarok offers an outstanding story and narrative style with a beautiful ending to the era of Norse mythology. the studio maintained the previous strong points of the previous game while renovating in other aspects that gave this sequel more splendor and beauty. this is A luxurious product with a wonderful ending that makes me look forward to what's in store to come

God of War Ragnarök lives up to expectations by offering a new compelling story with tight action and a gorgeous presentation making it a must play for anyone with a PlayStation.
It's difficult to oversell how polished God Of War Ragnarok is. The only real criticism you can make of it is that maybe it has way too much crammed in for one game of its kind. God Of War Ragnarok is a near perfect game for a Playstation fan, a God Of War fan and a video game fan in general. It’s not hard to find a reason to play God Of War Ragnarok, you just need to “Close Your Heart To It”.
God of War Ragnarök manages to be exquisite in everything it set out to do. Santa Monica Studio gives a real lesson in how a sequel should be made, exceeding all expectations in terms of graphics, performance, gameplay and storytelling in the best action adventure game of recent times. If the God of War franchise ever had a heyday, it has been surpassed.
