Capcom has given in the right place, to squeeze each of the qualities of Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak and has carefully polished the necessary aspects so that you feel that this adventure, despite knowing what it is, offers us the challenge and the necessary interest to return once again, not by commitment, but for the love of a new journey that takes us once again hunting before imposing beasts.

While not quite perfect, Sunbreak confidently brings all of Monster Hunter Rise's best ideas to the next level.
Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak takes an already meaty game an expands on it even further. Despite a few missteps, Sunbreak sports a roster bolstered by sheer quality, smart improvements to the Switch Skill system, and the introduction of Follower Quests which coalesce together to propel Rise into the upper echelon of Monster Hunter titles.
Sunbreak adds a much needed challenge to Monster Hunter Rise, introduces great new mechanics, and brings with it a whole new world of build and playstyle variety.
Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak won't convert diehard fans of older entries, but it still offers more solid hunting gameplay.
MH Rise Sunbreak is a worthy expansion adding new monsters, locales, questing options and gameplay mechanics worth 50+ hours of gameplay even for casual players. Fully recommended for anyone who enjoyed the base game, and a great deal for anyone buying the game with expansion.
Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak is still fun, enough to stand at the top of the co-combat game pyramid.

With the inclusion of Sunbreak, Monster Hunter Rise is finally a complete package and it does not disappoint.
Sunbreak is a massive expansion, just like the monsters and creatures you are going to face. You shouldn't miss this one.

Sunbreak isn't something that every Monster Hunter fan needs to go out of their way to experience. But it is new, challenging content for Rise players along with Follower Quests and a new endgame to grind through. If you're a fan of the current formula, then the expansion is well worth jumping in to.
Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak is an amazing—albeit, questionably expensive add on.
Sunbreak's lack of innovation on the core gameplay loop and the threat of repetition burnout ever-present, this package is ultimately more of the same.
If you loved Monster Hunter Rise and wanted more of it, Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak is going to be exactly what you want. The dazzling cutscenes for the story and new music are a bonus surprise that add to the scope of the scenario and add a lot of polish to the presentation. The attention to detail is staggering and it will be interesting to see how Capcom will top this in the inevitable sequel.
Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak is a great expansion to an already good game. You'll appreciate all the changes and new features added, but it won't give you a challenge until much later.
Monster Hunter Rise Sunbreak is a worthy successor to the base game and improves on it in almost every way.
Still, it doesn’t take away from the fact that for those up to task, Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak delivers. You could say it’s just more of the same but that would be doing this expansion a disservice. Like Monster Hunter World’s Iceborne expansion before it, this is essentially a full game served up as DLC. With its generous number of gameplay improvements and hunting opportunities, it’s an absolute must-have for series veterans. And while it’s still not the most accessible game on the whole, it’s undoubtedly the best starting point for aspiring hunters.
My main Monster Hunter Rise file went into Sunbreak north of 230 hours, and I put another hundred into a hunter on an alternate profile that was used for review purposes. I don't think I'll double that time on my main before the next Monster Hunter comes out, but it might get close. Sunbreak is a must for anyone who's ever stared down a Rathalos and lived to tell the tale.
Do you want more experiences in Monster Hunter Rise? The expansion offers an attractive voyage to new adventures and monsters with new Follower Quests and Switch Skill Swap system.
