LEGO Bricktales offers us a nice opportunity to relive the experience of designing and creating LEGO constructions, although despite the excellent artistic and technical level, the game remains an uninnovative and not too engaging puzzle-adventure, especially with an adult audience. Definitely recommended, however, if you are a brick-building lover.

So LEGO: Brick Tales then - a bright, colourful and certainly more creative take on LEGO in its digital form. While there's some fiddly controls at times, it's all quite charming and relaxing - and as the rest of the package is so wonderfully put together, it's hard to gripe too much about a fussy control scheme.
A creative adventure puzzle game that leans into what makes LEGO so great, LEGO Bricktales is a fun and imaginative title. The PS5 version is a little unstable right now, crashing often in certain areas, making it feel a few bricks short of completion. With a patch though, this could be the most creative LEGO game to date.
LEGO Bricktales is suitable for all ages to play; children and adults alike will love being able to play with LEGO bricks in the game. The story is charming; I really enjoyed it. In addition, each diorama is unique; brightly coloured and full of LEGO bricks. The puzzles are very enjoyable and challenging. The game encourages you to be creative, especially in the sandbox mode. I like the freedom the game offers in the puzzles, as there isn’t just one way to solve a puzzle. It’s great fun thinking outside the box and finding your own solution to the puzzles.
Despite being a bit rough around the edges, it is a daring and welcoming venture into the puzzle genre of the LEGO universe.
LEGO Bricktales is still a fun time to be had. Whether it's the soft-but-distinct "click" sound you hear when you're piecing LEGO bricks together, or you spend way too much time with a puzzle you solved hours ago because you want to stack it up with more vertical bricks, you'll have a ball with this relaxing building simulator.
LEGO Bricktales overall is an enjoyable adventure in well-designed LEGO worlds. The central element though, the building, could not fully convince me due to its clunky controls.

Overall, Lego Bricktales is one of the closest LEGO building experiences I’ve come across, with something like LEGO Worlds in that same camp. With the added collectibles to find and the presented story, it gives this game some fun bits to do outside of the actual building. The game could be fun for a younger audience, but with the lack of voice acting and the physics puzzle possibly being a little too advanced, this is more of an older LEGO enthusiast’s adventure. Regardless it’s still a fun time to be had.
LEGO Bricktales, the new physics-based puzzle-adventure game from the makers of the Bridge Constructor series, is simultaneously a triumph and a disappointment. It shines brightest in its variety of puzzle designs, ranging from simple decoration exercises to surprisingly complex engineering dilemmas, with each puzzle being built brick-by-brick using an intuitive and precise control scheme. Additionally, LEGO Bricktales’ detailed dioramas are consistently beautiful to look at, featuring catchy music and delightful sound effects that make for a joyous brick-building atmosphere. The experience is, however, marred by issues of varying severity.
ClockStone STUDIO and Thunderful Publishing’s LEGO: Bricktales was a delight to sit down to and enjoy. With a relaxing exploration system that leads into a more complex and hands-on simulation where you get to actually build LEGO as you see fit for the challenge at hand, there’s more than enough here for builders of any caliber to enjoy.
Nevertheless, it is rare to find a game like LEGO Bricktales, which embraces the building aspect of things rather than going the more tried-and-tested route. It will be the closest thing you can get to building LEGO in the real world without the investment or mess, but this good idea comes with its own challenges when it comes to the controls and, to a lesser extent, the lack of a helping hand. Hopefully, this will only be the beginning of a new way to look at LEGO games, and certainly a good foundation to build off of.
Despite being quite challenging, however, there’s still a lot of fun to be had in LEGO Bricktales. The game’s sandbox mode is designed to foster players’ imaginations. Although it has a lot of promise, the game is held back by some issues with the gameplay, most notably the building mechanism. However, the thrill of attempting to construct a wide variety of things will surely be a delightful treat for LEGO enthusiasts.
LEGO Bricktales brings the LEGO building experience to a game format, and one that's accessible and welcoming to a wide segment of the audience. While the game does feature a structuring plot and some exploration, it's the building that's the star here, and LEGO Bricktales does a good job at presenting a fun building challenge that's worthy of the LEGO name and fame.

Lego Bricktales is, for the most part, a brilliantly laid-back experience. It has the occasional annoying build and some technical problems, but the majority of your time with the game will be spent just putting Lego bricks together to make a bunch of things in whatever way you desire. It’s nothing like the majority of Lego games, but will hopefully serve as a springboard for a future subseries of Lego games that aim more toward creative builds and chill evenings.
LEGO Bricktales is the epitome of children’s play. You feel like you are a child again, inventing a world with your small LEGO pieces. You build bridges, staircases, and statues, and you get to see all of them in action. Like every other LEGO game, LEGO Bricktales is also fun and silly. The game does not take itself seriously, and that is what we love about it.
LEGO Bricktales cleverly combines familiar LEGO construction play patterns with an all-new exploratory experience. Although the exploration segments feel a bit too aged-down for this tired millennial’s tastes, the construction is delightfully challenging and exactly what I would have hoped to see in a LEGO game. If you want great LEGO prompts and don’t mind extremely linear (yet still charming) storytelling or are a literal child, LEGO Bricktales is here to unlock your wildest imaginations.
The of Lego Bricktales is solid and simple. It is that you can feel the joy of assembling Lego by playing a videogame. Also, it is highly immersive! However, even though it is a game that requires assembly, there are many aspects that are lacking in terms of convenience and controls.

LEGO Bricktales is a breath of fresh air for LEGO fans who are burnt out by grand open worlds of superheroes and Skywalkers. The visuals are great, the sound design is fun, and the worlds are a joy to explore. However, there are just too many issues to ignore; the camera, Rusty's AI, and the core building controls are bad enough at the start of the game, but they get much worse as more complex builds and uniquely shaped bricks are introduced later on.
Something commendable and even ironic about LEGO Bricktales is that the game differentiates itself by bringing to games something that is so intrinsic to building blocks, which is the act of building. Looking back, it's even hard to understand how this hadn't been done before. With its puzzles, the title reproduces the process of reasoning, logic and creativity required in playing with real pieces. Added to the creative scenarios and the shallow but fun script, this factor makes the 10 hours of the game, for the most part, very pleasant. A general improvement to certain mechanics like camera control would make usability much better. Fortunately, ClockStone Software has released updates that fixed some performance issues and bugs, but more improvements would be welcome.
