Dead Space (2023) Reviews
Dead Space (2023) takes the original's stellar experience into the modern age with excellent atmosphere, additional narrative content, level-design tweaks, and a few surprises to keep the flayed flesh fresh.
It's extremely difficult to not gush about Dead Space Remake because it does everything right. As much as I love Resident Evil 2's remake, it's fundamentally a very different game from the original. Dead Space Remake is a loyal and loving remake that captures everything that was good about the original, while fixing almost everything that was bad. It's easily the gold standard for how to remake a beloved game, and it's easily as good as Capcom's efforts. If you were a fan of the original, Dead Space Remake is a must-play, and if you're interested in experiencing it for the first time, the remake is the best option.
The Dead Space remake brings to life everything we loved about the original game. You will still be absorbed by the atmosphere and the fight against the Necromorphs. Now also with some improvements and new content.

Of course it is not perfect and for this reason the original Dead Space should never be erased from the history of video games, but that does not mean that, despite a few failures, we are facing a remake that deserves to be played.

Dead Space marks the triumphant return of a franchise that didn't deserve the end it had years ago. Revamped visuals, improved level design, interesting new features, perfect use of sound and lighting techniques, along with the same sense of space horror as before – all of this delivers one of the best survival horror ever.

Even though it's 10 years late, Dead Space (2023) is Electronic Arts' apology letter after the mayhem of Dead Space 3. With the release of this remake, it has been demonstrated that good development and listening to what the public wants is essential in providing a breath of fresh air to an old game.
The work done on Dead Space Remake, by Motive, is incredible. A complete remake that, in addition to doing even more justice to Visceral Games' 2008 masterpiece, goes to offer the player a more adrenaline-pumping and exciting experience. The gameplay turns out to be solid, though not without slight flaws: shots that go awry, polygon interpenetrations, and a slight woodenness in movements. Graphically, we were, to say the least, ecstatic with the excellent use of the Frostbite Engine, a graphics engine with a thousand resources and potential that allowed the developers to update every element of Dead Space Remake: textures, polygonal models, animations. In short, if you have never played the 2008 title and especially like sci-fi survival horror themes and settings, this remake is one to buy with eyes closed.

Dead Space's remake is one of those that has a reason to exist and offers a strong action/horror experience. If you're a new player and this is your first time with the game, you'll be very much impressed, while those who played the original Dead Space will feel familiar, but the improvements are so spot on that they will push you to relive the nightmare all over again. Dare you?
It's been a long time since a game kept me glued to the TV for so many hours in a row and that's actually for a game that is quite simple in terms of RPG elements and gameplay. Each chapter lasts an hour and with 12 chapters you can calculate it. Add to that some optional side quests and you have a few extra hours. From the first minute you notice that the tension is already good, but it helps when you close the curtains, turn up the sound and especially play alone. The atmosphere is the strong point of Dead Space

Dead Space has a wonderful story full of emotional moments, in addition to a fun gameplay, stage design, and an environment that exceeds beauty that contains a lot of terror, but its shortcomings are shown with the way the hero deals with events, but the stability and strength of the various game elements made this point negligible.

The Dead Space Remake is a superb recreation of a survival horror classic. It enhances the original game, while also being faithful to it’s story and setting, implementing a slew of new features and visual upgrades to make the game feel incredibly modern. It’s undoubtedly the best way to experience Dead Space, whether you’re jumping in for the first time or wanting to relive the story. The original still holds up pretty well to this day, and some say it didn’t require a remake, but the series certainly deserved some new love, and this is just the way to get the ball rolling again for the Dead Space franchise. I’m excited to see EA placing more faith in their single player offerings and I hope this spawns a new entry in the franchise or remakes of sequel Dead Space titles.
Dead Space (2023) reminded me all over again why I fell in love with this franchise, why I love Sci-Fi Space Horror so much as a genre, and how truly incredible a well-done Survival/Horror game can be.
Dead Space is a must-play for fans of the original and for anyone who loves a good horror game. The game is faithful to its source material while introducing gameplay improvements and enhancements. With its improved presentation and gameplay, Dead Space stands tall among its next-gen console peers. The game’s graphic flaying system, updated presentation, and amped-up haptic feedback make for a truly frightening experience.
Back in 2008 and survival horror fans were treated to a new kid on the block. With Capcom still reigning supreme with Resident Evil 4, EA decided to challenge the genre dominance with something different – Dead Space. Taking place within the confines of a spaceship, Dead Space reimagined the genre away from planet Earth and into the far reaches of Space.
Dead Space is a fantastic remake. Not only respects what made the original so beloved, but also improves the game in different ways taking into account the improvements from its sequels and mechanics we see in 2023. This is the best version whether you're revisiting the game or playing it for the first time.

Fans are going to find a lot to love with Motive's careful and almost masterful handling of the original, while newcomers will find an exciting horror ride that awaits. It may not be as game-changing as the Resident Evil 2 remake, but I can honestly say that it feels good to have Dead Space back.
Dead Space remake pays full tribute to the original game and adds exciting new features and improvements, making it a brilliant and terrifying survival horror experience. EA Motive clearly saw what Capcom was doing with their Resident Evil remakes and managed to hit a quality bar on par with those efforts.
The Dead Space remake is a near-perfect game - brimming with terror, laced with great combat, and slowly unearthing an intriguing story. This is how to do a remake!
