An excellent remaster of three of the PlayStation 3's best looking games, but none of them have aged quite as gracefully as you might expect.

I really enjoyed re-visiting this franchise again and even though the first game is starting to look a little dated, the other two sequels are far superior and not only play but look great on the PlayStation 4. Add in professional voice acting and a killer soundtrack and Uncharted the Nathan Drake is great value for money that allows gamers to experience the franchise again or for newcomers to see what all the fuss was about.

While there are small elements of all three bundled titles that have failed to stand the test of time, this is still a stellar trilogy, with stories and set-pieces that generally tend to better most modern games. Of course, existing fans will already know what wonders await them – but newcomers should brace themselves for 30 or so hours of solid gold.

Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection is a truly fantastic trio of games that are a mere rope swing away from perfection.

At one point in Uncharted 2, Nathan Drake says to Sully, "you've got a great ass"; elsewhere in the game, he makes a similar remark about Chloe's. And now, thanks to Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection, everyone's butts - and the great characters, stories, laughs, drama, and adventures that go with them - are looking and sounding better than ever.

Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection is a very solid package that will appeal to a range of gamers who have a PlayStation 4 and who might not have any other exclusive launch to look forward to in the coming months.

At the end of the day if you are looking to relive Nathan Drakes' adventures, or you want to experience them for the first time, then Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection is the way to do it. With improved visuals and control, you'll really enjoy them. Be forewarned though, there are no extra features to celebrate the franchise, something I think would have been beneficial for returning fans and new fans alike.

The HD remaster in particular does wonders for the series and makes Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection an easy recommendation for PS4 owners.

This is the best kind of remaster: a lovingly crafted technical update that's also a master class on how a developer can evolve ideas.

A wonderfully remastered trip into Nathan Drake's past rekindles some of the joy the franchise has brought to its thousands of fans, but also makes some of its more glaring shortcomings far more noticeable. Still, the best Uncharted Collection you could've hoped for is finally here.

All three Uncharted games are must-plays, and Bluepoint Games has done an exceptional job porting the trilogy over on PlayStation 4 with The Nathan Drake Collection. The 1080p HD visuals and 60 frames-per-second add a fresh coat of paint that make all three entries look and feel relatively ageless. The set pieces are as thrilling as ever, and the characters are still charming and well written. But the lack of a multiplayer component is one strange and noticeable decision.

If you're one of the 80 percent that Naughty Dog claims has not experienced the Uncharted trilogy, then there's no reason for you to miss out. Though if you have played through the games before, then the improved graphics and frame rate are nice additions, but not nice enough to make it worth spending Rs. 3,999, just to check the games out for the second time.

An essential purchase for Uncharted newbies and the graphical upgrade makes it hard to resist for series fans too. Naughty Dog's trilogy shames the competition with exceptionally detailed levels, blockbuster action scenes and a lovable cast that will be sorely missed when the series wraps up with Uncharted 4 next year.

Uncharted's flubs are many, but the series is keen on narrative and character - enough to see it through three games.
