Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden is astounding, and the way it tells a compelling story and connects you to the characters is really impressive. It's impossible not to recommend this masterpiece of a game.
Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden is a breath of fresh air among games I've played in recent years. Haunting Cases are amazing and world design is impressive. on the other hand, it suffers from different issues like low enemy variety, camera positioning and sporadic frame rate drop. That being said, it still delivers an amazing experience from start to finish.

Long live the spirits! Or rather not? The main characters of the game know about it, but their destinies are affected by an unexpected event and certainty turns into doubt. You will fight and explore the landscape, but the most interesting are definitely ghost stories.

As a budget God of War, Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden deserves praise for its ambitious and often deeply touching story. It's just a shame the gameplay is nowhere as fun as its inspirations. Nonetheless, this is still a worthwhile title to explore, if only to support story-driven adventure games like this.

Overall, Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden is marvelous, a wonderfully crafted love story by a team that has elevated their game to new heights. Its central cast is remarkable with lives that felt truly lived, their pasts that really define them as people. This is easily Don’t Nod’s finest work, despite my undying love for Life is Strange. Simply put, Banishers is a true work of art; a love most spiritual.
Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden delivers a dark world with a beautiful story and rich characters. DON’T NOD has mastered showing us the consequences of our actions in their previous titles, which translates very well into an action-RPG about life and death. Almost every decision is made in Banishers shapes the world around you.
The tale of the two Banishers is one that is worth being told. Although some parts of the story may seem a bit drawn-out this is more of a case of experiencing the smaller details to add up to the whole. Some games may be bingeable but Ghosts of New Eden is best done slowly. Your choices will effect the ending and there is a tonne of side content and smaller stories to experience. Each one different to the last.
A wonderfully spun tale of love and grief
As was to be expected from the developers DON'T NOD, Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden provides us with an exciting but also very emotional story that kept us hooked from start to finish. On the way to New Eden Town, we strengthen the bond between our two banners, get to know many well-written characters, uncover creepy secrets and explore varied landscapes. If you like mysterious action RPGs and have a penchant for the supernatural, you can hardly go wrong with your decision to pick up this game. Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden is an emotional rollercoaster ride with a high replay value.

Banishers Ghosts of New Eden adheres to a scope that DON’T NOD is comfortable with and sticks to it well. The game has decent combat with cryptic haunting cases to solve. Despite a lot of attention placed on the post-mortem love story, don’t expect it to be the next Romeo and Juliet any time soon.

We faced an emotionally devastating title supported this time by a well-executed and satisfying "action" element, especially thanks to the excellent level design of the game world. Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden is one of Don't Nod's best games and generally a very worthwhile proposition for fans of single-player action/"RPG" games, with an emphasis on plot. It's not foolproof, it doesn't contain any particular innovations, but it's thoughtful in almost every aspect and extremely well-written.
Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden marks the full evolution of Don't Nod. Thanks to the appreciable alchemy between the narrative component and the gameplay, the new effort from the transalpine house is engaging and exciting. Although the world map is not particularly incisive and some technical issues are slightly revisable, the path taken by the French guys is undoubtedly the right one.

"Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden starts strong but loses its charm after a few hours. By no means a bad game, there are some design decisions that left me my scratching my head. With so many anticipated AAA titles coming in 2024, Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden doesn’t stand out too well amongst the pack, but is a must-try when things slow down.
Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden turns out to be a very worthy action RPG. Don't Nod with this title makes it clear once again that the writing turns out to be their main feature. They managed to make enjoyable a game that touches important threes and especially a really dark setting. Perhaps the care of some small asp[ect would make it almost perfect. I really recommend not to miss all the mysteries related to New Eden.
