Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden Reviews
Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden is astounding, and the way it tells a compelling story and connects you to the characters is really impressive. It's impossible not to recommend this masterpiece of a game.
Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden is a breath of fresh air among games I've played in recent years. Haunting Cases are amazing and world design is impressive. on the other hand, it suffers from different issues like low enemy variety, camera positioning and sporadic frame rate drop. That being said, it still delivers an amazing experience from start to finish.

Long live the spirits! Or rather not? The main characters of the game know about it, but their destinies are affected by an unexpected event and certainty turns into doubt. You will fight and explore the landscape, but the most interesting are definitely ghost stories.

Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden disappoints a bit with its technical problems and lack of simple features, but DON'T NOD has managed to create a magnificent and addictive world that makes the player want to go all the way to the end – after all, you are responsible for the fate of Red and Antea.

Don't Nod's best work yet. The impressive story, the immersive period atmosphere, the well-written characters and stories, and the smooth and enjoyable action are blended together, and it works very well.

Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden surpassed my expectations thanks to its incredible sense of exploration, gripping story, and gorgeously-presented characters. Sure, it's easy but the adventure is still well-worth going on for any curious ghost hunters out there. 👻
Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden shows the need for productions that don't add unnecessary A's to their value. Red and Antea's adventure offers a long and complex experience, combining Don't Nod's narrative skill with fun gameplay. Despite minor imperfections, it's a worthy buy, being one of the biggest surprises of 2024.

Banishers Ghosts of New Eden adheres to a scope that DON’T NOD is comfortable with and sticks to it well. The game has decent combat with cryptic haunting cases to solve. Despite a lot of attention placed on the post-mortem love story, don’t expect it to be the next Romeo and Juliet any time soon.
Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden is Don't Nod's best game. We faced an emotionally devastating title supported this time by a well-executed and satisfying "action" element, especially thanks to the excellent level design of the game world. Despite some shortcomings, as highlighted in the review, we believe this is the first title from Don't Nod that will win everyone over.

Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden is one of Don't Nod's best games and generally a very worthwhile proposition for fans of single-player action/"RPG" games, with an emphasis on plot. It's not foolproof, it doesn't contain any particular innovations, but it's thoughtful in almost every aspect and extremely well-written.
Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden marks the full evolution of Don't Nod. Thanks to the appreciable alchemy between the narrative component and the gameplay, the new effort from the transalpine house is engaging and exciting. Although the world map is not particularly incisive and some technical issues are slightly revisable, the path taken by the French guys is undoubtedly the right one.

"Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden starts strong but loses its charm after a few hours. The story and characters are well-crafted, and the cinematic cutscenes and atmospheric soundtrack enhance the experience. However, the lack of meaningful choices and repetitive environments, along with unnecessary activities that highlight the combat system, are major drawbacks. Despite these issues and oversharing in trailers, the game remains worth playing for its story and atmosphere, with optional activities that can be largely ignored in favor of focusing on the Haunted Cases."

By no means a bad game, there are some design decisions that left me my scratching my head. With so many anticipated AAA titles coming in 2024, Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden doesn’t stand out too well amongst the pack, but is a must-try when things slow down.
Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden turns out to be a very worthy action RPG. Don't Nod with this title makes it clear once again that the writing turns out to be their main feature. They managed to make enjoyable a game that touches important threes and especially a really dark setting. Perhaps the care of some small asp[ect would make it almost perfect. I really recommend not to miss all the mysteries related to New Eden.

Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden explores profound themes through the well-written and acted story of Antei and Red. The game presents morally complex choices without clear-cut good or evil. While the combat becomes repetitive and the music and graphics are unremarkable, the story stands out as original and entertaining in today's gaming landscape.

Banishers: Ghost of New Eden is a not too difficult game with a very strong story. It has several roads and dilemmas for which you can make the decision. It looks reasonable and plays almost obvious.

Banishers is a long and content-rich game, with an excellent combat system, over-the-top love melodrama, and an open world that’s exciting but arduous to explore.
Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden is a great example of why double-A gaming is so vital to the industry. Don’t Nod has conjured up an engaging, cool concept and poured a reasonable budget into it, resulting in a game that still looks beautiful without costing hundreds of millions of dollars. And in the end, I enjoyed it just as much as I’ve enjoyed numerous triple-A titles with triple the budget.
Fall for Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden's tragic romance, then unleash hell with combat that echoes God of War's ferocity. Dive deep into RPG systems to shape your path. But the heart of this experience lies in Dontnod's mastery. They've finally woven a narrative so powerful, it'll hold you captive until the very end.

An emotional adventure wrapped in supernatural mysteries that offers a world not always depicted in video games, yet it falls short due to its reliance on a combat system that never becomes deep enough to be truly challenging.
