Even for the low price of $40, I can't recommend ReCore. This game feels like a first draft. A lot of the gameplay mechanics are there, but the world and story fails to satisfy. You're best off waiting for the price to become insanely low, picking it up, and hoping for an IP saving sequel.

While there are glimmers of hope throughout the adventure, the majority of ReCore is neither remarkable nor technically sound.

A charming, fun old-school-style action-platformer that's about twice as long as it should have been.

ReCore is an unpleasant game. If you're looking for a good game for the Xbox One I don't recommend you get this game.

If ever a game felt like it was rushed to release, it is this one.

ReCore has an enjoyable first few hours, but quickly hits an impassible wall of unending item collection, laboriously slow loading screens, and puzzles that are more focused on wasting the player's time than providing a challenge.

ReCore is a nice game friends. Of course, it has its own ups and downs. Some platform puzzles are so annoying, the open world is sometimes very fainting and the grind system makes you mad, but I still cannot call ReCore a bad game. If you like the grind job, if you like ReCore's universe, I'm sure you'll do fun stuff for hours. The game is currently sold for 110 TL in the Windows Store. As I said, if you like grind and platform-style games, ReCore will give you hours of fun. But the firm has never been a Mighty No. If he had not dealt with 9 and turned directly to ReCore, a much better production would have been waiting for us.

ReCore could've been much better if it had more time in development, as it still doesn't feel stable nor polished. But on the other hand, it mastered the basic elements of a platforming games. Anyway, the game is relatively cheap, so that might incentivise you to buy it if you like platformers.

There's a lot to love about ReCore. It's charming, has character and a spark of creativity that hasn't been seen in decades. But the more you play it, the more you'll despise it when yet another technical blunder ruins the experience. After all, you only hurt the ones you love.

There are some really great ideas in ReCore and they feel realised, but it never really hits the point where they feel like they have been executed efficiently.

ReCore is plagued with horrible load times. The average length during my playthrough was close to two minutes and even surpassed that on a couple occasions.

If I were to sum up ReCore in one word it would be 'fun' -- it's absolutely worth playing, especially at the low MSRP of $40.

ReCore is a solid and fun game well worth the $40 price tag. There are some technical issues with framerate and load times but the gameplay more than makes up for it. If you are looking for an old school style game then ReCore has you covered.

ReCore isn't weighed down with baggage but that might leave it feeling a little thin around the edges. Lasers and robot friends!

Nonetheless, persist and you'll bear witness to a sound narrative pay-off, a rarity in the world of gaming these days. Recore's story isn't particularly original, but it's paced well enough to keep you playing, and in our case, power through its more glaring problems. As it stands, Recore is a flawed, albeit fun, game that could have benefitted by a longer development cycle. You could do worse, you could do better, and for now with Recore the overall experience is rather middling.

I began ReCore having a marvelous time. By the end, I had begun to resent it. It wasn't that I felt rushed; I allowed myself extra days to play. It was just that the game is such a heart-sinker. It was created by people whose work I've greatly respected, but ReCore just doesn't feel ready for all of us to be playing it.

Despite a surprisingly promising start, ReCore is its own worst enemy with its horrendous loading times, tiresome progression system and poor design choices hindering its full potential

ReCore has potential to be a fun and memorable video game experience, but its ridiculously long load times hamper your time with it. If you are inpatient or don't like wasting time, you should probably pass on this one or wait for a patch.

All of this took a promising franchise introduction and just left a bad taste in my mouth. I genuinely enjoyed a lot of aspects of ReCore--the world, the nail-biting platforming challenges, the smart and fast-paced combat. But it comes with so many issues and reservations that it becomes hard to recommend. I liked ReCore enough to hope we'll see an improved sequel, but if we do, I'll recommend players skip to that one.
