SteamWorld Heist II Reviews
Fans of the SteamWorld series will be happy with Heist 2. If you like steam bots and robot pirates – and who doesn’t? – pick this one up.
SteamWorld Heist II is made with plenty of heart and effort to create an amazing adventure that never feels bad. Don't be afraid to stop by and make your own legend. It's worth it.
The turn-based tactics of it all are still so delightfully crunchy and awesome, featuring new objectives, unique bosses, and oodles of content. However the constant returns to the bar to rest and the strained simplicity of the water travel hold this back from being such a slam-dunk instant classic as its predecessor. This is a sequel that is bigger and better in a lot of respects, but is also weighed down by superfluous additions.
Steamworld Heist 2 is a full-on sequel to the first title. Overall, it's better in every way that matters: more weapons, more skills, more enemy types, more gameplay, and a lot of adjustments that make the game more fun to play. Only the new world map feels more like a lateral move than an actual upgrade, but it doesn't get in the way of the quality of the rest of the game. Steamworld's streak of excellent titles continues, and it makes me excited to see what the development team comes up with next.
SteamWorld Heist II builds upon the original in many clever ways to create a sequel that's a ton of fun even 8 whopping years after the first game debuted. Be sure to play it but don't sail in my part of the seas or I may have to take your hat. ⚓
With such a cheery disposition, this bright tactical RPG with a steam-powered robot crew draws in players and keeps them glued to the screen with a simple yet fun gameplay loop that never grows rusty.
SteamWorld Heist II is a great turn-based adventure with a rich, customizable system for upgrading your crew and ship. Battles are entertaining and the possibility of wearing various hats is a treat. Enemies of the Great Sea, beware of this pirate crew!
After spending a whopping 117 hours playing this game, we can confidently say that we are still enamored by the incredible world created by the development team.
SteamWorld Heist II comes close to being a perfect sequel, in my humble opinion. With so many visible qualities, perhaps its only flaw (if I can call it that) is a brief feeling of repetition when completing many successive missions, but the navigation with the submarine and even the variety of enemies and objectives within each stage help to disguise this weak point. So, whether you are a fan of the SteamWorld series or even an enthusiast of strategy games that prioritize skill over luck, do yourself a favor and play SteamWorld Heist II.

SteamWorld Heist 2 provides an excellent challenge to players but won't scratch any narrative itches.
SteamWorld Heist II stands out for expanding on the concepts of its predecessor with new mechanics and an engaging campaign. The gameplay, which combines manual aiming precision with the need for elaborate tactics, provides a challenging and rewarding experience, especially in the various missions that test our ability to adapt and plan. Despite some limitations, such as the lack of clear information about enemies and the sometimes bureaucratic naval exploration, SteamWorld Heist II offers a journey rich in detail and content. Although it does not revolutionize its formula, it is a solid sequel that maintains the charm and quality of the series, being an excellent choice for fans of tactics and strategic adventures.

SteamWorld Heist II takes the things that worked in the original Heist and, well, gives players more of them. It’s well-considered in so many ways, making sure you’ll have a good time exploring its ideas for as long as it holds you. It ain’t exciting or revolutionary, really, but it sure is fun.
SteamWorld Heist II is a delight. Brilliant tactical combat is mixed with a clever story, great music, and engaging progression. Whether you’ve played the first title or not if you’re into turn-based, strategic combat then this is one to check out.
SteamWorld Heist 2 is a solid strategy RPG to add to your library and a solid addition to the Steamworld series of games. If you don't mind a brush with challenging levels and the tight roguelite requirements, you're in for a charming submarine ride with your motley crew of loveable rogues.
SteamWorld Heist II is exactly what you’d want from a sequel to one of the best strategy games ever made.
