Despite not doing anything wrong and presenting itself as a solid action-adventure game, Creatures of Ava manages to be too safe to the point of becoming boring.

The design, the creatures, Ava herself and the story are imaginative, profound, beautiful and thought-provoking. In the first few hours of the game, it is incredibly fun to discover new animals, tame them and save them. This part is loosened up by shallow puzzles and a few jumping passages. However, this feeling quickly wears off and it feels more like you just have to tick off a few mission objectives in a game. The combat system is not very entertaining due to the camera and variety is only written in capital letters in terms of environment and design. "Creatures of Ava" can entertain for a few hours and having a game without violence and instead a nice message is definitely very desirable.

Creatures of Ava is a peachy little pep tonic for those who crave exploration and discovery of a whole new world. The creatures are charming, the world is rich and stunning and the character interactions are first-class. While it may not be the deepest or most complex adventure out there, it warms the heart and delivers cosy adventuring in a way you don’t necessarily expect. And at 12 to 20 hours long (depending on your completionism tendencies), it’s the ideal length for adventuring. Neither too short nor too bloated. If you’re looking for the next Pokemon or Palworld, you won’t find it here. But what you will find is cosy fun and a journey that will leave you with a smile on your face and your cockles warmed.
Creatures of Ava is a calm exploration game, one of those where you sink into the couch and slowly discover its entire story.

Creatures of Ava offers a wholesome experience with charming creatures and unique gameplay ideas, but it lacks cohesion and suffers from a weak narrative and unrefined mechanics.

Creatures of Ava is a great game for those looking to explore a new world in an exciting way. The graphics and sound make the world feel real and add so much immersion to the game. The story is also simple enough to allow you to jump in and out of the game, which is great for a relaxing game you may want to play for just an hour at a time rather than all at once.
Creatures of Ava offers a unique experience within the open world genre, focusing more on interaction with local fauna and peaceful exploration than on complex combat mechanics. With a calm narrative and well-developed characters, the game is ideal for those looking for a light and engaging adventure. The dynamics of the Nafitar artifact and the use of native songs to tame the animals add an interesting layer to the gameplay.

Creatures of Ava will, without a doubt, go above and beyond to get you hooked on its story and visuals, but it’ll just keep adding on as you explore and see more of Ava. Between the already stunning visuals and inspired music, it’s already set up to be amazing, but it keeps getting better as you progress.
Creatures of Ava is a game that people of all ages can play and enjoy. While the gameplay may become repetitive after a while, exploring the fascinating aspects of its world remains highly enjoyable.

Creatures of Ava surprised me with a vast and beautiful world, an exciting take on pacifism, and great characters. A game about exploration, conservation, and wonder, you’re sure to enjoy your visit to Ava. Remember to take lots of pictures.
Creatures of Ava is a great open-world action-adventure game with many Disney-like themes but lacks variety in its gameplay elements.
Creatures of Ava is a mostly mediocre experience with few things to keep you interested and, across the board, rather mediocre execution of its ideas.
Creatures of Ava, even with lots of rough edges, deliver an impactful message. How can we help those who we don’t understand? If you’re looking for a game with a new take on the conservation topic, there is no better game to represent it than Creatures of Ava.
High-quality graphics, charming art style, and emotionally touching moments in the story can be a good reason to give Creatures of Ava a chance; at least, who knows, you might even like it. Especially because the game will be available on Game Pass from the launch day, so if you own this subscription, by all means, try it.
Creatures of Ava is an excellent title, and it’s on Game Pass at launch. If you want a game that lets you explore a gorgeous alien planet, get your inner photographer on, and know when to mix in its version of combat then I think it is well worth a download.
