Astro Bot Reviews
The game literally has everything that makes a platform game an ideal experience, and at the same time it works as a peak at the rich history of PlayStation, which created fun and beautiful memories for generations of players, and it does so in an innovative, fun and emotional way.

The highest praise I can give Astro Bot is that it genuinely feels like PlayStation has its own Mario now. The gameplay, creativity and charm are competing with Nintendo's powerhouse with wonderful level design and engaging gameplay from start to finish. Only the relatively short runtime is a potential negative, and even that feels like a minor complaint. If you're a longtime PlayStation fan looking for a rush of nostalgia, a parent looking for a good game for their kids, or you just want a darn fun platformer, Astro Bot is a must-play.
As an entertaining, accessible, and polished 3D platformer, Astro Bot offers plenty of variety in both visuals and gameplay, delivering a lively space adventure with plenty of PlayStation references.
A culmination of 10 years of hard work. An experience that is at times relaxing, soothing, thrilling and even sentimental. Technically spotless, artistically impeccable, this is an experience not to be missed.

Astro Bot is an excellent platformer. Fun, accessible, very varied and full of collectibles. The references to the various franchises and games that have gone through the history of PlayStation consoles is something sensational, especially the phases themed with specific series. The only drawback is that it's relatively short, and it looks easy for veterans of 3D platformers.

Astro Bot not only drives you back down memory lane, but it successfully captures your heart by bringing your beloved franchises into one, big adorable package that brings a lot of experiences back from the depths of our core memory. Astro Bot is lovable, charming, and most importantly, an incredible game.
With copious amounts of variety, a delightful presentation, rewarding collectibles, an absurd amount of references, and cuteness to spare, ASTRO BOT is one of the best 3D platformers ever created. It's essentially a tribute to gaming as a whole. 🤖
Astro Bot is, without any exaggeration, one of the best 3D platformers ever released, and it also ranks among the best modern video games, regardless of genre. It excels at constantly surprising the player and showering them with ideas that are not only original and engaging but also flawlessly integrated into the overall experience. Fans of platformers and those with a soft spot for Sony games—to which Astro affectionately pays homage—will be thrilled. But everyone is in for a great time.

Team Asobi has created a small masterpiece with Astro Bot — proof that you don't need an open world, a 100-hour campaign or photorealistic graphics to captivate players. Pure joy in its purest form, and one of the best 3D platformers of the decade.

Astro Bot is not just a joyful celebration of PlayStation history, but a reminder that smaller, focused games can still deliver some of the purest fun of the generation.

Astro Bot is a focused, idea-rich and carefully designed 3D Jump & Run that feels constantly fresh and energetic throughout the entire duration. With its clear emphasis on interaction and playfulness, Astro Bot sets a welcome accent to the majority of Sony's rather bombastic lineup, and according to my personal ideas of a video game, Astro Bot is not only a celebration of Sony's history [...]

It is easily the most fun platforming PlayStation game I have played so far, and at the same time one of the very best games of this generation. What makes it even more impressive is how consistently it maintains that sense of enjoyment without letting the experience lose momentum for even a single moment.

Astro Bot is one of the most fun, engaging, and creative platformers you will ever play. There's a lot to do if you want to take your time, but no part of the experience overstays its welcome. Tight controls, interesting level and puzzle design, and a superb soundtrack make this a must play for anyone, not just fans of platformers.
Astro Bot is, without a shadow of a doubt, this year’s best platforming game. Hell, it could even be a contender for Game of the Year (GOTY) because of how complete the game is as a whole package. The game is visually stunning, has great sound design, has simple yet fun gameplay, makes use of the exclusive PlayStation controls, and, most importantly, has a ton of content. Sony and Team ASOBI have knocked it out of the park with this game, and I wouldn’t be surprised if this game is regarded as one of Sony’s best releases to date.
In conclusion, Astro Bot, as a platformer game, has managed to become a serious contender for the Game of the Year title by drawing the right inspirations from major titles in this genre, adding a unique narrative design to revisit the history of video games, and implementing unique technical graphics.
It’s a loving tribute to a long legacy of PlayStation All-Stars and is guaranteed to put a smile on your face or bring a tear to your eye.
As a video gamer who has witnessed a great deal of development and even more titles over the past 40 years, I'm absolutely thrilled with Astro Bot. It combines perfect technology with perfect controls, perfect feel and sound, and tons of fun. Yes, there will never be a "perfect game," but Astro Bot is certainly pretty close! I wouldn't be surprised if it won Game of the Year. But a place on the podium is already clearly guaranteed.
