Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster Reviews
Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster is a very interesting remaster, keeping the same core gameplay whilst deploying vastly better tech that allows a much greater level of detail. It’s not perfect, and I would have liked to see a few more changes to Franks’s adventure, but as the title suggests, this is still nothing more than a remaster, with not that huge of a budget. Regardless, this is a great addition to the series, and perfect for newcomers. Hopefully, this leads to some bigger Dead Rising projects at some point.
Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster is an almost untouched experience, despite the graphical revitalization. It is still the same game we knew in 2006, which is certainly a quality, but the fact that it has not implemented the notable improvements of its predecessors and still wants to sell itself as a product that has undergone special treatment ends up greatly harming its role in reviving the series within the current gaming market.

Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster offers numerous quality of life improvements to the classic timed gameplay while improving survivor AI and offering a massive visual upgrade to the entire game.
Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster is a successful rework of one of Capcom’s most off-the-wall games.
The Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster is a remarkably faithful, graphically impressive remaster of an original classic. The phenomenal RE engine brings the game to life, and QoL improvements make the game much more fun to play, though unnecessary censorship of original content and the missed opportunity of including combo weapons holds the game back just a bit for me.
Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster is a fanatic remaster of one of Capcom’s best games, with the improvements complementing the sublime zombie-killing gameplay loop. With its more intuitive controls, smarter survivor AI, gorgeous visuals, and more accessible save system, this really is the best that Dead Rising has ever felt to play – both for veterans and those new to the series. Here’s hoping Capcom give Dead Rising 2 the same treatment, because it really has felt special getting to experience one of my favourite games of all time in this wonderfully revamped form.
Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster is a fine example of Capcom's understanding as to which aspects of a game to improve without tampering with what made it good in the first place. There are substantial improvements here, almost blurring the line of being marketed as just a remaster.
The important question is, is Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster good, is it worth revisiting, and is it worth a new player’s time? Hell yes, because the issues still do not outweigh the fun you will have playing through the main 72 Hour Mode and unlocking other modes which adds to the replayability.
Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster is far and away the best possible way you can experience Dead Rising. As a huge fan of the series, I'm thrilled to have a remaster/remake hybrid that's so true to the original.
Dead Rising returns with a Deluxe Remaster that is closer to a remake than a remastering but that carries the scourges of its generation such as the facial animations of the characters. Also, for the first time in Spanish.

The Deluxe Remaster version of Dead Rising proves that the gaming world still needs this series, which offers a very distinctive experience that we don't often see in the gaming industry lately. Despite the simplicity of the experience, it is great and very enjoyable with brilliantly designed ideas that are nearly impossible to feel outdated even though it has been 16 years old, and as for this enhanced version, despite the performance and game balance issues, the advantages far outweigh the disadvantages, making this game the best enhanced version ever!

Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster is a stellar experience from start to finish. From the music, story, comedic touch, and of course zombie killing action, Capcom has yet again hit it out of the park.
Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster is another excellent game from Capcom. With tons of quality-of-life improvements, smart changes, and overhauls, seeing Frank West again feels good.
If you liked Dead Rising then you will love Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster. It’s still just as much fun to take out hordes of zombies using a stack of CDs, a giant parasol or various gardening tools. Compared to the original “Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster” is a much smoother and painless experience. This might be a problem for the people who already adore that game. For everybody else it makes it simply much more enjoyable. While the auto-save can be largely ignored if you want, there is no way around having a much easier time while taking calls from Otis or using guns. Being able to save and skip time in the bonus mode on the other is probably something that everybody will be happy about.

If you are a fan of Dead Rising there’s a good chance you will really like this remaster. If you’ve never played the game before and want a fun zombie slaughter simulation, this game still holds up well, but you’ll have to look past some of the game's flaws and remind yourself that it is still bound by 360-era design.
Ultimately, Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster had the potential to be a $50-worthy title with a few tweaks—adding accessibility features and fixing bugs and glitches. Unfortunately, the current product falls short, offering little more than a graphical facelift and a revamped shooting system, leaving both new and returning players wanting more.

Almost twenty years after its premiere, the modern zombie classic returns to the front line with a new and careful edition that blurs the line between remaster and remake.

Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster is rough around the edges at times but Capcom has delivered a mostly faithful, visually dazzling remaster without short-changing the tone, humour or violence.
Capcom expertly revives the 2006 classic with nostalgic charm and modern Quality of Life improvements, cementing its role as a top-tier action zombie game despite some outdated elements and minor content changes.

While not without its issues, Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster is an impeccable remaster that feels more like a remake and offers hours of great entertainment.
