Disney Epic Mickey: Rebrushed Reviews
Disney Epic Mickey Rebrushed is a necessary, competent remake that respects the original, making what was already good even better. Its mature story speaks very well to older players and opens up a new world for younger ones by transporting us on a journey into Disney's past. A game with a great replay factor, simple and intuitive gameplay and a duration in the right measure that shows that the genre still has a lot to offer, bringing an air of novelty in the midst of so many more of the same games.

Now in the end, I sadly can’t say if Disney’s Epic Mickey: Rebrushed does the previous version justice. But what I can say is that it’s a blast! The world is fun and with the lighting improvements, it does great at setting a darker tone and look. Seeing classic characters was cool, especially since I love classic cartoons (particularly Rubber hose animation). Combat is enjoyable and not tedious. New enemies get introduced just as I’m feeling bored with the current ones, which helps it stay fresh.
The magic of Epic Mickey has been remastered to an illustrious degree in its Rebrushed version.
Disney Epic Mickey: Rebrushed brings back the beloved Wii classic, and does it spectacularly. In addition to having the basics, such as improved graphics, the remake adds new features to the original adventure, such as improved control and new moves for the main character. It is sure to become a real gem for fans of the animation studio.

Epic Mickey is a stunning-looking game packed with memorable locations, a cast of unforgettable characters, and solid gameplay. The paintbrush mechanic is satisfying and feels right at home in the Wasteland without ever coming across as too gimmicky. There's a few annoying hiccups here and there, but overall, Epic Mickey is an adventure worth your time.
Though I've always enjoyed Epic Mickey, I'm thrilled to have revisited the game, as it has held up remarkably well. This remake makes it better than ever. If you're looking for that "Disney Magic," so to speak, you'd be hard-pressed to find much better than this. Full of surprises, Disney Epic Mickey: Rebrushed is a delight.
Disney Epic Mickey: Rebrushed is an awesome remake that looks and sounds amazing. I just wish there was voice-acting here!
Epic Mickey: Rebrushed is a fantastic remaster that manages to resurrect a cult classic in a way that is respectful of the source material while updating it for modern audiences. The story is still great even after fourteen years. Plus, the visuals and gameplay have been tuned to near-perfection. While you can't help but wish for more additions to the story and world, the quality-of-life changes to gameplay and replayability make this the perfect way to play this underrated platformer.
The original release of Disney Epic Mickey on the Nintendo Wii had so much potential, but it was severely held back by the limitations of the Wii Remote and Nunchuck. Disney Epic Mickey: Rebrushed fixes all those issues and is exactly what that original game should’ve been. With over 12 hours of playtime and a fresh coat of paint, Disney Epic Mickey: Rebrushed is an absolute must-play for fans of the legendary face of Disney.
Epic Mickey Rebrushed is an example of how remasters can revitalize a classic without losing its essence. With refined controls, updated graphics, and a nuanced narrative, it stands out as a must-play experience for those seeking nostalgia with a modern touch. Minor performance and pacing issues don’t overshadow the charm of a well-crafted port that brings back the magic of the Disney universe.

Disney Epic MIckey: Rebrushed is a joy to revisit or play for the first time in 2024. The few design flaws that do present aren't nearly impactful enough to bring down the whole experience. Epic Mickey remains one of Disney's strongest showing in the medium of games, and Rebrushed is a nostalgic and heartwarming reminder why.
Although the new coat of paint and quality of life updates probably won't change the minds of anyone who didn't click with this oddity of a 3D platformer the first time, Disney Epic Mickey: Rebrushed successfully recaptures the magic of the original, making it well worth a look-in, both for fans and those that missed it on the Wii.
Disney Epic Mickey: Rebrushed is an impressive remake of an already marvelous game. It features the story depth that is unusual for Disney, going beyond the confines of cartoonish fairy tales, while also paying the tribute to the company's classics. This is a mix that certainly deserves your attention.
Epic Mickey: Rebrushed is a remake done the right way. Not only does it look and play better than the original, but the original creators were consulted and gave their input as well.
I don’t know exactly how faithful Epic Mickey: Rebrushed is to the original version, but I know that it shows that beneath the waggle controls, it turns out there was a pretty enjoyable 3D platformer waiting to be found.
Armed with a magical paintbrush that can paint or thin out obstacles to uncover the path forward, Purple Lamb has given players a colorful and delightful remake that is faithful to its original release. Truly delivering Mickey’s best and most epic adventure finally for last and next-gen consoles and PC.
Visually, Rebrushed is a significant step up, with a stunning HD-2D art style that breathes new life into the colourful and imaginative world of Wasteland. Add in a revamped camera system, new movement options such as sprinting and a ground pound attack, and lots of technical improvements, this remake will surely satisfy those looking for their next epic Disney adventure.
Disney Epic Mickey: Rebrushed is an excellent remaster of one of the Wii's best games. It fixes its shortcomings, adds to it with quality-of-life changes, and most importantly makes it available to all on modern platforms. Rebrushed does a good job being both a 3D platformer and a narrative driven-adventure title, sprinkled in with a lot of love for old Disney animation---a fun, unique adventure game for all.
Epic Mickey Rebrushed is a successful remake, a production that manages to restore lustre to a game that was appreciated in its time but also characterised by many macroscopic flaws. Purple Lamp has managed to limit many of these problems, in some cases fixing them, even if some of them are inevitably linked to the title's concept. However, the work done is enough to give Epic Mickey a new chance, which now shines brighter than ever before with its distinct creativity.
