Indiana Jones and the Great Circle Reviews
MachineGames has managed to create one of the best cinematic adaptations in the video game world without imitating modern adventure works. While the experience could have received more polish, the elements of the classic films are well presented in a video game format that will satisfy both die-hard fans of the legendary Dr. Jones and appeal to new audiences.

Instead of following trends or the logical path, MachineGames took what it does best and injected what makes Indiana Jones such a beloved series. It grabs you and delivers a sense of adventure so good, it's easy to forget all its problems.

Indiana Jones and The Great Circle goes to show that MachineGames has an eye for fortune and glory. Not only is this title another great addition to Xbox Game Pass, it’s an absolute must for fans of the infamous Indy.
Indiana Jones and the Great Circle is an absolutely fun but flawed experience. The full Indiana Jones vibe is present from a story and pacing perspective. The stealth is laughable, but all of the other gameplay elements make up for it. The graphics are good except for an issue or two, while the sound is good enough to elevate the overall experience. Some work needs to be done to make the game run smoothly without the fear that your experience will be abruptly cut due to instability issues. As it stands now, it's a good game and a fine way to cap off a year of big releases before the impending storm of next year's games begins.
Adventure! Enjoyable, a little banal, sometimes predictable, but Indiana Jones and the Great Circle is a very positive surprise. Simply a great game.

Despite my gripes on sudden shifts to third-person, its plethora of animation bugs and glitches, and meager optimization on PC, Indiana Jones and the Great Circle shows a lot of respect to its source material. With its incredible voice-over team especially Troy Baker's amazing performance and portrayal of Indiana Jones, the stunning musical score that captures the essence of John Williams' work, the staggering locations, and the adequate story, it's an authentic Indiana Jones adventure you'll surely enjoy.
Indiana Jones and the Great Circle is a fantastic adventure, which understands perfectly the franchise that we all love. A game that oozes charisma and manages to put you in Indy's shoes with puzles in lost civilisations and dozens of secrets to discover. A real treat to end 2024 on a high note.

Despite some disappointing technical hitches, Indiana Jones swings onto PlayStation 5 with a satisfying crack of the whip. Sporting excellent writing, great direction and immensely satisfying gameplay, MachineGames have delivered the ultimate in Indiana Jones wish fulfilment. The hat may fall off at times owing to the glitches, meaning the Xbox or PC versions are probably your best bet, but this is still a treasure worth hunting on PlayStation.
The core weakness of Indiana Jones and the Great Circle is an unsteady balance: narrative, cinematic execution, and exploration excel, yet combat and stealth disappoint, leaving a sense of incompletion. Players willing to endure the opening hours will enjoy the journey, but it misses the mark on becoming the unforgettable title MachineGames was fully capable of delivering.
The Indiana Jones: The Order of Giants expansion is priced at $20 and offers a set of puzzles and events lasting only 4 to 5 hours at most. Overall, it lands at the level of “good” rather than “excellent.” While the expansion does provide genuinely fun moments, it loses much of its narrative weight—especially if you’ve already completed the base game. It also lacks any meaningful improvements or adjustments to the original experience. Still, it’s an enjoyable add-on and serves as a great dose of adventure for anyone who misses Indy’s escapades, as well as a solid entry point for completely new players.

Indiana Jones and the Great Circle is an exceptional action-adventure game that expertly combines thrilling storytelling, immersive gameplay, and stunning visuals. The game takes players on a captivating journey that balances puzzle-solving, combat, and exploration with a cinematic flair that honors the Indiana Jones franchise. While minor issues, such as limited enemy AI sophistication in stealth and the lack of certain mechanics, hold it back from perfection, these flaws do little to detract from the overall experience. It’s a standout title that showcases what the genre is capable of, delivering excitement, challenge, and emotional depth in equal measure.
Perfectly reproduces the universe and the dynamics between the characters, which thanks to the excellent voice acting and musical atmosphere complement each other perfectly to make the player feel like they are in one of the films of the classic trilogy. Unfortunately, the game has some flaws, but despite this it is a game that you should definitely play and despite not having as much action as others in the genre, it has managed to quench our thirst for adventure that the lack of a new Uncharted has left.

It’s an amazing adventure that feels more like Indiana Jones than the film series has in quite some time, which is definitely an accomplishment. Absolutely pick this one up, you won’t be disappointed.
So, Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, should you buy it? Honestly, it is one of the most rounded games I’ve played in recent times. Giving you control of one of the most iconic characters in film. Allowing you to play through one of the most iconic sequences in cinema. Come on, what’s not to get excited about! Indiana Jones and the Great Circle receives the Thumb Culture Platinum Award.
Indiana Jones and the Great Circle pleasantly surprised me. After some initially unjustified skepticism, it turned out that the creators have a great understanding of the film original and have crafted a game that puts a strong emphasis on exploration and solving fairly challenging puzzles. The title captures the spirit of the original well and takes the player to several truly unique locations where you can spend hours uncovering hidden secrets. The story itself also unfolds in an incredibly intriguing direction, allowing you to feel like a true adventurer eager to unravel an ancient mystery.

Indiana Jones and the Great Circle captures the spirit of the films with flair, delivering a brilliant puzzle-filled adventure that looks the part on the PlayStation 5. Whilst there are some inconsistencies within the combat, the experience as a whole is too charming, cinematic, and well-crafted to ignore, with the game capturing the authenticity of an Indiana Jones movie perfectly. If you’re an Indy fan or just in the mood for old-school thrills and clever puzzling with modern polish, this one’s worth certainly cracking the whip for.
Indiana Jones and the Ancient Circle is one of the most interesting and comprehensive titles of the year, managing to capture the essence of the character and the charm of his adventures to great effect. Despite some technical imperfections and a slight drop in pace in the final part of the game, MachineGames has packed an experience that fans of the genre will be unlikely to forget.

A great choice for fans of the franchise or adventure game lovers, Indiana Jones and the Great Circle delivers a very complete experience. Its journey around the world is great and well-constructed, full of twists, exciting fights, challenging puzzles and many other surprises. The technical level could be a little higher, but it does not compromise a must-have adventure for your library, no matter if it's on PC, Xbox or PlayStation.
