The 21-year longing of Indiana Jones fans is over. No longer will they only think of Fate of Atlantis when they think of "the best Indiana Jones game". The Great Circle is definitely one of the biggest, most beautiful surprises of this year.

Indiana Jones makes a triumphant return in the Great Circle thanks to a stellar cast, good puzzles, gameplay variety, attention to detail, and solid technical performance. It is a must play for fans of the whip-cracking hero, and adventure gamers.
There are some issues, but Indiana Jones and the Great Circle does everything it needs to for me as a fan and as a gamer. However, one major bug keeps it from a perfect score in my eyes.
With the majority of first-person games being rubbish, Indiana Jones and the Great Circle is an incredible surprise. With the team behind Wolfenstein, it really shouldn't have been. An incredibly fun experience from start to finish with a fantastic story, beautiful environments, taxing puzzles and a fantastic score Indiana Jones and the Great Circle is the definitive Indy experience in gaming and, dare I say, all media? (no).
Other than some repetitiveness towards the end of the experience, Indiana Jones and The Great Circle is Machine Games' best and finest project, combining the freedom of semi-open-world design with the spirit of adventure and action in a story of a very high level. The game's journey with its characters is a love letter to all story game lovers

It's more than a game. It is a film in which you play the leading role of the most popular archaeologist from TV and cinema screens. The combination of these two genres is astonishing and perfectly coordinated. You'll travel around the world with Dr Jones, and although this expedition has some minor flaws, it's a truly epic experience.

MachineGames, with Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, has paid a full and commendable tribute to the Indiana Jones series. MachineGames has managed to create one of the best cinematic adaptations in the video game world without imitating modern adventure works. While the experience could have received more polish, the elements of the classic films are well presented in a video game format that will satisfy both die-hard fans of the legendary Dr. Jones and appeal to new audiences.

Indiana Jones and The Great Circle goes to show that MachineGames has an eye for fortune and glory. Not only is this title another great addition to Xbox Game Pass, it’s an absolute must for fans of the infamous Indy.
Adventure! Enjoyable, a little banal, sometimes predictable, but Indiana Jones and the Great Circle is a very positive surprise. Simply a great game.

Despite my gripes on sudden shifts to third-person, its plethora of animation bugs and glitches, and meager optimization on PC, Indiana Jones and the Great Circle shows a lot of respect to its source material. With its incredible voice-over team especially Troy Baker's amazing performance and portrayal of Indiana Jones, the stunning musical score that captures the essence of John Williams' work, the staggering locations, and the adequate story, it's an authentic Indiana Jones adventure you'll surely enjoy.
MachineGames has proven itself fully capable of taking on Dr. Jones, crafting a beautiful adventure filled with intrigue, ancient ruins, puzzles to solve, and even a bit of action.

Indiana Jones and the Great Circle marks a worthy return of the famous archaeologist to the world of video games. It offers a well-crafted story, entertaining combat, clever puzzles, and an immersive atmosphere. If you’re a fan of the famous archaeologist or adventure games in general, you shouldn’t miss this title—despite minor flaws, such as occasional choppy facial animations or slower opponents. Actually, there’s nothing wrong with it; this is a model adventure game, dear readers. I definitely recommend it.

If you have a PS5 or Xbox Series X, those versions are the best way to experience the game visually. But if portability matters—or if Switch 2 is your preferred option—this is still an adventure well worth taking. After all, great treasure hunts aren’t about perfect conditions—they’re about the journey.
I’d go as far to say that Indiana Jones and the Great Circle is one of the greatest movie-based games I’ve laid eyes on, certainly in recent years. If you forget the IP for a moment, then it’s still an enthralling and immersive adventure game whichever way you look at it: epic set pieces, gorgeously detailed levels and some of the most fun I’ve had in a game for a while. There are rumours of a sequel but nothing confirmed at the time of writing; please, MachineGames, do the decent thing!
MachineGames has proven with The Great Circle that the magic of Indiana Jones is not lost — here is a team that not only understands what makes Indy tick, but knows how to translate that essence into a genuinely outstanding game, the best since 1992.

Indiana Jones and the Great Circle on Nintendo Switch 2 is one of those miraculous ports that shows exactly what the console is capable of when truly competent technical work is involved. Even with some graphical limitations and 30 FPS gameplay, MachineGames managed to preserve all the cinematic atmosphere, exploration, and sense of adventure present in the versions for more powerful consoles. This game is definitely worth playing, especially if you’re a fan of the franchise or enjoy games focused on exploration, mysteries, and archaeological discoveries.
