Indiana Jones and the Great Circle Reviews
If you only own a Nintendo Switch 2, Indiana Jones And The Great Circle is an absolutely must-have. Is it worth buying a second time if you already own the Xbox Series X or PS5 version? Not really, but if you want it to be an excuse to play the entire adventure again, then nobody should blame you for doing so. The Switch 2 version running at 30 frames per second will deflate some, but when you consider the addition of gyroscope functionality, the trade-off is worth it. Overall, Indiana Jones And The Great Circle on Switch 2 is a great Switch 2 game, even if it might be a harder sell for those who've already played it.
PlayStation 5 owners can finally rejoice... Indiana Jones and The Great Circle is here and yes, it's beautiful!
When Indiana Jones and the Great Circle plays to its strengths it's a captivating adventure led by Troy Baker's exceptional performances, but sadly some design choices bog it down and stop it from being a generational treasure.
Indiana Jones' triumphant return to video games is a memorable adventure that gives fans everything they wanted while concocting a delightful mix of systems and design philosophies that no one had anticipated.
Indiana Jones and the Great Circle is an excellent example of how to adapt a popular film IP into a video game, delivering a solid and engaging adventure that truly captures the essence of stepping into the shoes of the legendary archaeologist himself. While the game excels in many areas, it doesn't quite reach its full potential due to issues with its guidance system, a somewhat underwhelming overall scope, and a lackluster conclusion. Still, for players who value adventure over action, this is a journey well worth taking.

Indiana Jones and the Great Circle is one of the best adventures in the series, capable of recreating the great atmosphere of the early days and offering players a story that fits well into the timeline. However, the first person perspective makes it lose much of the dynamism we would expect from an Indiana Jones game.

Indiana Jones and the Great Circle is a cinematic title that manages to fulfill the “playable movie” premise in a positive way. Fans of the franchise will be right at home with the Raiders of the Lost Ark-inspired plot, and given the game’s positive reception, it might even open the door for a new era of Indiana Jones media.
Indiana Jones and the Great Circle is an utterly faithful, masterfully immersive adventure which impresses in so many ways. It captures everything special about the films but stands tall as an outstanding achievement in its own right.
Like many ports of current generation titles, Indiana Jones and the Great Circle is a solid iteration of an excellent title. The game absolutely nails the feeling of a classic Indiana Jones adventure with a great balance of puzzle-solving and action. The dialogue and humor are spot-on, the places you visit are as varied as can be, and the presentation is still incredible on such a seemingly underpowered device. It would've been nice if the DLC were included in the package, and there are still some gameplay elements that don't feel fully fleshed out, but this remains a title that is well worth playing - no matter where you're playing it.
The Great Circle is, by far, the best Indiana Jones media since The Last Crusade. While its story plays things a bit too safe, it's probably for the best after the last two contentious films (Kingdom of the Crystal Skull and Dial of Destiny). Indy works best when he's a young escapist character that men wish they could be. He shouldn't ever be depicted as old and tired, which has been a trend with many legacy characters lately. While Gina sucks as a deuteragonist, the overall adventure is so wonderful that it's easy to forget she spoils the puzzles. The gameplay is tight and well polished, offering classic action-adventure fun packed with puzzles, stealth, and battles to keep things fresh, all wrapped up in some of the cleanest, slickest production values out there. It's an absolute technical marvel on Nintendo Switch 2, and the gyro-aim options make it more enjoyable to play than on other consoles.
The Switch 2 delivers this masterpiece nearly uncompromised. Its only the occasional stutter or low-resolution texture that gives away the game's slimmed down form. Whether you're delving into ancient ruins to solve puzzles, or introducing a nazi to the loving embrace of a sledgehammer, every moment of the Great Circle is absolute bliss.
Indiana Jones and The Great Circle offers a beautiful adventure full of excitement and suspense that lives up to the name it carries, with a diverse gameplay style that becomes more enjoyable the more time you invest in exploring its beautiful world, which will take you on a magical journey around the globe.

Indiana Jones and the Great Circle is an excellent tribute to the franchise and also the best product the series has received since its original trilogy. With gameplay focused on exploration and melee combat, and an engaging narrative, the title is a must-play for both fans of the legendary archaeologist and enthusiasts of the adventure genre.

The PS5 version of Indiana Jones and the Great Circle is every bit as impressive as its PC and Xbox counterparts-if not better. It stands out as one of the best action-adventure games in recent memory, with the iconic Indiana Jones himself serving as the perfect cherry on top.

To be clear, Indiana Jones and the Great Circle is good fun. The presentation is spot on, and it’s an example of how nostalgia can be traded on in a way that is fun, rather than desperate. But as a video game, it’s yet another example of how the AAA blockbuster end of the market is totally incapable of breaking away from the overly safe and familiar, and the inflexibility of these “video game design best practices” means that no property is allowed an identity of its own anymore.
Indiana Jones and the Great Circle brings familiar atmosphere and fresh gameplay experience.
